How do these 2 exercises compare to each other?

I do weighted pull ups, weighted chin ups, deadlifts, power cleans, back extensions, sandbag carrying, sandbag shouldering, farmer's walks, sledgehammer swings, and medicine ball slams, and these all hit the back nicely, but I don't do rows. Wondering if there would be any benefit in incorporating them into my workout.

maintain pull ups and deadlifts and you should be fine. while i would swap in barbell rows at least, for a proper range of motion, i don't think it really matters

I don't think there is a substitude to barbell rows. I used to do t-bar rows, weighted pull ups, and deads. When I tried the bb rows, it was freggin weak compared to my other back exercises.

How about just alternating between the pullups and chin ups, and spend that extra energy on the rows?

rows work the horizontal plane. Pull ups work the vertical plane.

Rows have a carry over to bench press. Pull ups/chin ups have a carry over to oh press.

I heard some sports programs make their athletes row as much weight as they bench, if not more.

Correct. You should being able to row/pull-up as much as you can bench press.

I've done weighted pull-ups for a single with 30kg (66lbs) attached to a belt.

I REALLY like DB rows, they're excellent.

Is it alright to use momentum for rows as long as I keep my body still? I lift fast initially and that momentum helps the bar hit my abs.

I agree about lifting fast. Fedor emelianko said to do pulls fast and explosivly.

By doing a fast jerking motion initially. Actually, I think my body may move alittle, i'll check next time I do these.

Does it really matter?

Just get both things progressively going up.

I don't see any drastic need to be super duper strict on these. I admit i start throwing a bit of hip power into the last couple reps...not too much.

Actually i'm not even sure how to count reps on these because reps start to die out a few inches short of my gut and the last few reps aren't full 100% reps. Still don't think it matters as long as the weights are going up and you're still doing a number of perfect reps. Same thing happens on pulldowns and other rows. What muscles are even responsible for those last few inches in a rowing movement? I feel like the biceps are really involved right at the end...

Yes you should be able to row & pull-up/chin-ups as heavy as your bench.
