I think it's time for me to go out and get made up like Frankenstein with a nice gash in the forehead. The neck bolts can only help the look, too. I just hope I don't get mistaken for Mystery.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

The article was missing allot of key points, so here is a better one:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/story/2011/05/24/science-smile-men-attractive.html

In contrast, men find women more attractive when they smile, and least attractive when they look proud and confident, the study of 1,084 heterosexual men and women shows.
Proud and confident = B1tch who thinks she is too good for you (probably a feminist to boot). Men know that an overconfident woman is probably going to sh1t test a whole lot and will cause more problems as opposed to being a submissive.

While previous studies have shown that women are judged more attractive when they smile, the researchers believe this is the first study to show that men are judged less attractive when they appear happy.

They suggested it was because smiling men were judged to be more feminine and less dominant.
A$$holes do not walk around with goofy smiles, nice guys do that.

Women consistently rated the proud men highest, with a rating of four to five. They rated happy men about one point lower. Younger women rated happy men lowest, while older women tended to rate happy and ashamed men equally and neutral men lower.

The researchers suggested that shame was considered somewhat attractive in both genders because it expresses respect for social norms
Younger women like a$$holes more as opposed to older women who can't afford to put up with a$$holes anymore and are looking for a nice guy provider type (happy and ashamed guys tend to be nice guys).

I was sucker punched a few years ago and had my eyebrow split open. I must admit, the scar hasn't seemed to hold me back much.

Wow, one thing that I've consistently read in all this pickup stuff is that you should smile. Now they say don't smile, and now they say that if you look ashamed that is more attractive than looking happy or neutral. >Throws up hands<

I could see that smiling might be seen as being supplicating rather than friendly. Or maybe smiling is more useful for building comfort as opposed to attraction.

If there's one thing this article tells me, it's that no one has really figured out how this whole attraction thing works yet. I mean, it's fairly straightforward to see what attracts a guy, but there seems to be a whole lot of different variations and complex formulas when it comes to what attracts a woman.

It seems fairly consistent that good looking guys will attract women. Curiously, this is the one thing that pickup gurus most deny.
At this point I would say do whatever you want, and (as Tyler Durden says) let the chips fall where they may.

That's because we, the community, are operating from a false premise:
That we can be UNIVERSALLY attractive to women.

It can't happen, at least not in real-life.

We are trying to mold ourselves into some kind of universally attractive template, but this doesn't take into account the wildly varying preferences of women. The Universally Attractive Template (UAT) works for women; It does not work for men.

The very nature of attraction causes the UAT to work for women, but not for men. A made-up face and a well-proportioned body will attract any and every man, almost no exceptions.

However, although a neat, stylish appearance in a man is attractive to women, much more important are the personality traits of a man. Some like guys who smile, some don't (the smile does convey personality). Some like aggressiveness, some don't. Some like smart-alecky, some are turned off.

Men will never, ever be able to fit into any kind of UAT, while conversely, attractiveness in women will always fit into that template, with minor variations, of course.

Nutshell: The UAT exists for women, but does not and never will for men. We are trying to be all things to all women, and that is why we fail. Better to make ourselves the best men we can be so that we are satisfied with ourselves, thereby attracting the women who will be compatible with us.

I concur.

Women are notorious for being less than forthright in answering questions about the motivations for their behaviour.

I should expand that. Don't believe any self reported study at all. Read a blog post on some new "studies" linking red meat consumption with cancer. All participants self reported their diet.

Study was of course funded by big agriculture.

Finally, an article that comes right out and tells men to stop smiling and being happy because women demand it.

It's funny to read the reactions here to this article!

I will try and explain what I THINK they are finding. Women like a little mystery and complexity. That is one simple point. When a man seems moody, or not smiling, and deep in thought, it is attractive to see a man THINKING. He has something going on in his head, and that is more than most people!

Another thing is that a lot of men look scary when they smile. As in, they plain have bad smiles. They can look creepy, like they are leering, or if it isn't obvious what he is smiling at, he can look stupid. It could also come across as supplicating or trying too hard. I think if it looked like a man was smiling about some secret thought, it could possibly be viewed as sexy because it might seem mysterious.

The study should not be thought about TOO much, lol, because there are just too many different ways a smile or a nonsmile could be interpreted by the opposite sex.

I think when I read this article I remember reading that women in general found a man who looked confident and mysterious attractive. That is the main point to take away.

Good point. All my life being told to smile when I see all the rockstars, rappers, jerks, bad boys etc looking "hard."

I throw my hands in the air in frustration. I don't know what to believe anymore!

Wait, I was also told to wear clothing that fit not loose clothing or baggy clothing. But if I go to a club or a mall or anywhere where the hottest chicks in town are who do i see them walking around with? Guys that dress the opposite of what I'm told i'm supposed to dress like!

I have come to the realization that to be our true selves means likely settling for women in the 6-7 range (cute but not hottest girls in the club type) or 40+ milfs.

Cause if you're in sosuave you are probably a recovering nice guy don't deny it. That's 99% of the population of sosuave.

I wish I could be my true self. A nice guy that is laid back, doesn't mean no harm to anyone and hates drama. Unfortunately women have made me into something that is not me in order to get inside them. But deep down inside I wish I could relax and be my true self, a genuine nice guy.

Something is really not adding up here.

If somebody is always wearing a frown, people are just going to avoid him. The same goes for somebody who is scowling. People don't want to be around somebody who doesn't seem happy. It's also kind of hard to be outgoing and talkative when you're feeling like crap.

Only a certain type of man get pull off looking "hard." Usually he's a dirt bag. If a woman see's a man looking hard walking towards her, her first thought is to get the hell out of there.

There is a difference between having a nice smile when it's appropriate and always having a goofy grin.

Damn! I'm keeping this in the courtroom database! I would award you rep points if I could!

Women always have had the upper hand in dating.
