I wasn't there, I suppose I would have been a little upset. But who cares what some fat chick thinks? She probably got dumped, turned down, whatever, and was preparing to devour those pizzas in heading towards a comfort food-induced coma.

She had low self-esteem because of her body image, was trying to rationalize why she shouldn't hate herself, feeling very unattractive, and you let her know, yeah you really should hate yourself, you're fat and ugly.

Sounds like you did your best to avoid a confrontation at the beginning though.

That is what is interesting about this thread, everyone seems to view backbreaker's interaction differently. Everyone has a mental image of what transprired, but we'll never know exactly what transpired.

I'm not going to agree with this, or condone it, but I will say we should treat other as we would want to be treated.

Why was this gal obnoxious? Why did she push backbreaker into this mess? Who knows...maybe she just got dumped by her boyfriend, maybe she found out she has diabetes and weight problems will haunt her for the rest of her life. We'll never know. You never know what is going on with the lives of the people around us. That's a fact. The story is never complete. Whatever the reason, this woman was insecure and seeking validation. She just chose the wrong guy (backbreaker).

Whatever the cause, be a man. Be above putting people down and making them feel like sh!t. You know, people will always try and get in your way. People will always try to drag you down to their level. Don't do it. A smile and a little humor goes a long way in a situation like this.

From what I've read on this thread, I would have handled it differently. But...as long as you know you did the right thing, it doesn't matter what anyone on this site thinks.

Did you even read the comments in this thread? Initially, you didn't mention she pushed you before the insult the first time, then you claim you did mention it the first time, then someone proves that you didn't, and then you say "you can read. there is no flexibliity..".
