Seriously, what do all the posts above have to do with what Metaphysikal_Lover said?

It doesn't. It has to do with what johnny_chase said and what Interpol and MsThang turned it into.

The fact is that the thing that Metaphysikal_Lover said is the same thing that everybody has said constantly from as long as I can remember. There is always a new, constant stream of newbies, they often think that their problems are unique and different, and they often neglect to read the DJ Bible. Some of the same people who make these complaints were also newbies who thought that their problems were unique and who failed to read the DJ Bible.

When the same thing gets posted about once or twice a week for two or three years, some of us tend to not care if it gets "off track".

Eternal can't unilaterally ban posters... yet. (And we must fight against that possibility ):D
I always thought this place needed more of a dictatorship and Eternal would fit the bill perfectly.

He's established himself as Alpha-Moderator.;)

I wanted to reply to this but the Gio vs. CutiiepieReturns thread was closed.

With Silquee trading jokes with the moderators in Anything Else, maybe he's perfect as a potential new moderator! :p

"Alpha-Moderator." I like that...I'm gonna steal it.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Silquee, welcome to the "short list".

Better prepare yourself by developing a really thick skin and, you know, try to become a little more despised on the forum. You're a little too well-liked to be a moderator at the moment.

Your post count was only like 58 before you became a moderator... then you had made 200 "Moved to Anything Else" and "Thread Closed Because I'm a Nazi" posts every day and that adds up quickly.

*Direct quote from my girlfriend after she read that* "heehehe, how sweet."

*Direct quote from me* "Damn straight."

Don't forget the jokes between you and me and the other mods.

Do people really think that your "DJ-ness" increases proportionally to your post count? I could care less if I have 8,291 posts, or 83. I think this is the same with all of the other mods and people who have been around for a while. None of us (I would hope) would care at all if our post count was reset to 0. What matters isn't the quantity, but the quality. If there are 800 "Moved to Anything Else" posts, well that's great - it has no bearing on the other 1000 or however many posts of quality and substance. Moderating is a job, it takes posts to do this job at times, and I don't see what all of the hubbub is about.

Sure, there will be 'noobs' on this board. Always have been, always will be. It's unfeasible to require them to wait 2 weeks before posting, to quiz them on their 'knowledge' over the internet, or to make them do 20 jumping jacks, say 13 'Hail Marys', and 10 'Our Fathers'. Complaining isn't going to solve the problem - nothing will, because as fast as one 'noob' has a question answered, another steps up in his place. If it bothers you, then just leave the thread he started without answering. If you want to be supportive and give him advice, more power to you.

On a side note, can we quit with the flaming of other members? If it continues, then this thread will be locked... by me. I can count the threads I've locked on one hand, so let's please try not to add to that number... okay?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Eternal, but I'm traveling around the country a little too much at the moment to be of any real use to the boards.

I'm like you, Gio, I "go with the flow" too much to really go against the people unless it's happens to be that they are going against the rules, then I'll side with mods.

I'm considering a career in law enforcement that will hopefully transcend into a career in politics that why
I've had a sudden change into a pro-law/regulation form of thinking.

if our post count was reset to 0.
That is a good idea diablo, then the numbers wouldn't matter and it would be sole advice and what you contribute that would be left.

I figured you as the second potential alpha based on that thread in Suggestions and Feedback where I forget who, that had some issue with your moderating. That and you were the only guy who actually does any new pic threads.

Anyhow I'll give the reasons why I think Eternal has established himself as top mod.

-He has the highest post count in SoSuave.com history
-He currently is public enemy number one with his moderating style and he has established that he has "legit heat" with more than a few forum members.
-He's a young mod and he has taken initiative and authority.
-Most of this stems off of the "Carpe Diem" mentality and "Stop looking for perfection or you'll be looking at porn" philosophy.

Ever consider a career in politics, Eternal?

I don't think I am the youngest moderator. Sammo and Nocturnal are both 17 and BBB is 18, same with Vincent.

I guess Gio and I have the same idea...We don't care what people think about us, we just go out and do our jobs.

I'll PM you about the politic thing since this shouldn't get political on here.

Edit: You don't need to be on here a lot to mod, or even do anything...Just look at Ashlee! :p

Thank You. I came back to find this post and watched it's twists and turns...wooooo. It sure got off topic. Now I can see what I've done on others threads before.

I do humbly oppologize for my past behaviors.

Sure if thats what you like to call it. Or maybe I've been here long enough to know what will benefit and hurt the site.

Don't start with the "I've been here long enough" speech. Look at your registered date, look at mine.

I'm feeling immature, excuse me.

When people get off topic, their posts should be deleted.

If one man asks for opinions on something, and then a flame-war starts with 2 or more other people, the topic gets hijacked, and usually they're arguing about something unrelated to the main topic, so the man doesn't get the advice he was looking for.
Now if those replies were deleted, then the forums become easier to read, and the man gets the advice he was seeking.

Locking the topic doesn't solve the problem, usually those people continue to battle it out on other threads, lol, and hijack other people's topics...
