While everyone is here bickering about Bush, he's sitting in a $100M mansion ignoring everyone.

Although politicians are different (because their actions actually affect our way of life), its interesting that most very successful people don't bother respond to critics.

After all, how many times has Bill Gates made an angry reply to a critic? (Apart from those who matter, such as his CFO or Microsoft investors)

Could learn something there.

good original tip before politics got involved.

mods if you decide to close this thread instead just restart the tip as it was and delete the rest of the political chatter.

MY reality
I really don't want to bring this more off-topic, but I need to set some things straight for Mr. Flint.

First of all, Bush didn't earn his wealth. He inherited it, like 90% of the politicians out there. He went to Harvard and Yale because of his connections, otherwise known as 'legacy'. Do you REALLY think he made it there because of his smarts? Please. His dad also went to Yale, I think that speaks for itself.

I also think it's funny when the Bush family refer to themselves as Texans. THEY'RE FROM CONNECTICUT. They're old money carpet-baggers who went to Texas to get into the oil business. It's true that George W. was raised in Texas, but the only thing he has in common with the average Texan is his accent.

If George Sr. had not been President, George W. would not be President today. It's the name recognition, the family connections, that got Dubya into the Oval Office (with a little help from Miami/Dade County and the Supreme Court). That is pretty funny considering that George Sr. was practically run out of office, yet people thought his son would make a great President (despite being even less qualified for the job than his dad).

The haters still can't see the irony of their own comments.

And the "If I had his connections, I'd be this and that"

Yeah, sure, you'd be President too.

Please mods, leave the comments so we can see how delusional some people are.

Bottom line is that Bush still managed to earn an MBA from Harvard business school, regardless of how he got in, which is no easy task.

Where's your MBA?

And if his dad was practically run out of office, wouldn't the "name recongnition" be a hinderence and not a help?

You guys are so blinded by hate that logic and reasoning has gone out the window.

And also, please source your claim that 90% of politicians inherited their wealth.

Thanks for setting me straight though.

What have I accomplished? Absolutely nothing. If i had Bush' daddies connections and money, I'd be in an Adult Movie starring me and Michael Jackson. Also, getting a master's degree is easy because Bush got it. Is that why I don't have one too? Bush is dumb... but he was somehow smart enough to campaign tirelessly and defend himself and his stances to be elected governor, and President for two consecutive terms. He also paid everyone to vote for him, because there's no way an idiot could have actually garnered over 100 million votes by paying people for it, right?

By the way, I think I'm coming out of the closet!
AHAHAHA... Funny! Well actually it wasn't that funny, but yeah deserves at least a smirking grin from me.

Dude, I'm not gonna make any statements here but (sarcasm); Are you sure you aren't a moron? Cause if you aren't then maybe you can make some other type of argument instead of ad hominem? Cause you know that's what retards do when they can't cut it anymore.

Do i got an MBA? No you're right i don't, not yet at least. But more than likely i will 2 years from now. That is unless i lose interest because it's not like i really need it... or need it to prove any point ;-). But feel free to use the fact that Bush does have an MBA as the only somewhat empowered argument that Bush actually HAS a brain. Even though pretty much every decision he has made and everything he has said and done has shown the exact opposite. The thing that is set in stone here is that Bush has an MBA AND more importantly, it is totally set in stone that he 'earned' that same MBA. Everything else like his moronic speeches, his complete absence of concentration and mind and the complete and utter tardiness of any of his spontaneous statements are all just moot. They mean nothing, add up to nothing because it's set in stone that he has and earned his MBA. This is basically THE strongest aspect of your ad hominem argument... so uhm yah... get the picture?

Derek, i like how you kinda Bash everyone who doesn't agree because they can't back-up their statements with statistic facts. Where are yours though....?

Do you even have facts? Other then rich+mba+president= winner and good person = better than you?! What's your point?

Is your point by any chance... "I'm a complete tard who thinks that wealth, titles and degrees somehow dictate the value of a person and by that logic i know GBJR is actually a great person and a winner". Is it something like that?

Btw there is this saying about the enlightened and the ones in the dark. The enlightened can see those in the dark, vice versa however they cannot. If you can't see that Bush is a huge tard that has gotten where he's gotten because he's a puppet to the REAL smart guys, then I'm inclined to conclude that you must simply not be smarter than Bush since you cannot see his flaws...

Your point is that Bush is somehow a 'winner' because he accomplished a few things that are at first glance very challenging.

There was this guy once. He was basically a homeless guy scraping for food by selling mostly uninteresting paintings. One person took pity on him and give him a chance to show some of his painting although it was obvious he had no real talent but very good technique and all the 'theory' of painting down to a T. When his paintings didn't sell he drove up a new alley, started as a spokesman for his political party and quickly became popular with the masses. Painting took a backseat for politics and he painted only out of interest since then. After a few short years he was elected the highest office in his nation. He was more popular than any other ruler ever in his nation and he held the masses in his hands. Not 5 years later he conquered all of Europe, parts of Africa and parts of Russia. His accomplishments are fantastic to say the least. This guy's name was Adolf Hitler.

BUT he was NOT a retard, because he accomplished some things most of us cannot (or don't want to). Furthermore; He accomplished EVERYTHING by himself, all of it. The warfare success, the technological success (which USA still uses to date), his political success, everything, he did it all by himself. His generals, scientists and party had nothing to do with it. They never did the work for him because he was to crazy or retarded to do so himself... Right Derek?!

You want to know what the really sad truth is about the comparison AH and GBJR? I have more respect for AH because at least he had some balls. Other than that they are both completely despicable, retarded and basically losers...

So you put losers on pedestals because you can't recognize the fact that they are losers? Why do you think you do this? Dare i say it? And if i say it will you then argue by making a list of your own accomplishments? Which will undoubtedly be impressive and somewhat questionable in truth...

Dude, did you just reply to Derek Flint's "ad hominem attacks" with an ad hominem attack on him for defending Bush from your ad hominem attacks? That confuses me. I'm also confused as to why you had to write a multi-paragraph essay on the subject.

diplomatic_lies, good tip as always.

The ironic thing is, all of us as Don Juans should be getting along, but instead we are hating on each other.

Yah i did... but only partly though. I'm a bit touchy on pedestalling obvious retards like Bush... no offence but i can't really bare to hear much good about murderers and war criminals. Bush deserves to be locked up ffs! He's pulled somany tricks that are obvious scemes to increase his power like the emergency war powers.. It's just not even funny anymore and quite menacing when you think about it.

Thank God that Bush is still somewhat tied down by the public eye. I dread to think what would happen if it wasn't so. Safe to say that eventhough i am not an American citizen, one of the darkest days i've recently experienced is the day Bush was reelected. The guy is a bloody menace and not just to his own nation either. Hearing someone praise his tarded ass just makes my blood boil.

Clinton had to take the fall cause he shot some womans mouth full of seemen but it's ok if Bush sends off thousands of honest hard working soldiers who truely believe in 'freedom' and their country, to die in some middle eastern country for no good reason and while doing so attempts to cut their wage and health benefits by 50%. And then some dude online calls the pathetic hater flag when someone calls Bush a punk tard... yah great

No, Clinton had to take the fall because he lied under oath, in a court of law, to avoid responsibility in the Paula Jones sexual harrassment lawsuit, in which he was the defendent.

And he lied, stalled, obfuscated, tampered with witnesses, claimed false executive priveledge over a dozen times etc..

If Clinton just told the truth, the whole investigation would have taken a few weeks and only cost a small fraction of what it actually did.

Unfortunately, Clinton put his own self-interests above the country, above National Security.

And Congress voted to go to war with Iraq, which resulted in the liberation of 25 million formerly oppressed people.

A President alone cannot declare war, or send off thousands of troops to the middle east "for no good reason" although a majority of the troops who are actually there would disagree with you on that claim.

And, no one is trying to cut troops benifits by 50% as you claim either.

Troops pay and benifits have gone up under Bush.

Until you get your facts correct, you should refrain from posting on subjects you are so ill-informed about.

Perhaps your blood wouldn't "boil" if you weren't so ignorant on the subject.

A perfectly good thread ruined by politics ...

Haters only hate themselves; they just take it out on those who give them a reason to.

*comes out of the woodwork*

Haters are like racists, they lack logic, reason and common sense. No matter what you say or do, they're going to whine and b*^%h, so your best bet is to just ignore them.

If you let them get under your skin, they win.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Whenever a comparison is made to Adolf Hitler, you lose the argument right then and there. Your argument will never be taken seriously and you will look like a total moron.

Hitler ordered the torture, starvation and murder of millions of innocents including women and children.
His utter stupidity cost Germany 100s of thousands of lives on the Eastern front.

President Bush, on the other hand, acted on the "intelligence" of many nations and multiple UN resolutions.

Germany was a soverign nation when the US invaded and never directly attacked the US... but what socialist is going to complain when another power hungry socialist (FDR) is in power?

If you're going to make a reasonable argument about Iraq, ask: How does someone disprove a negative?

BTW, I didn't vote for either of the guys put up by the Republicrat party.
A President alone cannot declare war, or send off thousands of troops
If the govt. were limited to only the power given to it in text of the constitution, that would be true.

I totally agree with this post. However, I think you missed the MINDSET of the genuine smiling. As a recovering aresehole myself, who constantly flaunted my assets/success/areseholishness, I can say I attracted many haters.

Yes, genuinly being happy/smiling works to a degree, but what works more is not letting them affect you one bit. Truly realize their agenda, and that they are below you. Don't frown and roll your eyes because they are below you. Just realize they can't help it, and that they are not to be trusted/associated with.

Think Tom Cruise. He is VERY happy, just had a baby with his wife, and was flamed by so many people (haters). Yes, his behavior to average eyes is shocking, but the man is happier than most, so happy he is ecstatic. He ignores haters, and deals with them.

Just remember, the battle is won with haters the day you realize there is no battle.

Take my advice, this hole "down with suppressive people" agenda has been my whole situation for the past 4 years. Now I am much more relaxed about it, and trying to be nicer to everyone.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Good example.

Cruise is rich, dating a honey nearly half his age and people talk s*** about him.

Getting rid of the haters/negative people around you is one of the best things one can do.

I did it about 10 years ago, and now I wish I did it long before that.

I just went back to work for a company that I used to work for a couple of years ago, and there are a couple of guys there that are still *****ing about a high ranking US politician (guess who?) on a daily basis, just like they were two years ago, and just like they will be two years from now.

It's pathetic.

Not to mention, I don't think any of these guys have been laid in years.
