The officer that brutally beat an innocent black man(a poor hurricane katrina victim) in New orleans a while back has successfuly commit suicide by gunshot to the mouth. :rockon: All just a month before his trial for his police brutality was set to begin (june 29th). Guess he knew he just couldnt face all the black prisoners who would be getting him back for what he did :crackup:

This is a great justice to all the victims of police brutality. The officer Lance Schilling was the monster that brutally beat Robert Davis(a black retired school teacher) in the French quaters of New Orleans. This whole scene was all caught on video tape and Im sure everyone who saw the news segment when it aired was totally disgusted by it (it got lots of coverage when it aired)

Was the cop Lance Schilling the one throwing hard rights at the guys head in the beginning of the tape?

That was the ONLY messed up part to me.

When he was on the ground, it just looked like he was resisting arrest and the cops are subdueing him.

Why hate the guy? Yes, he did something wrong, but we're all humans. You don't know what his motives were, nor do you know what the black man did to deserve the beating. Both of them have families. It's not justice when he kills himself. He should have been charged or tried for his crimes.

They are here to protect us, and you are taking a lot for granted when you make such comments here. I bet you wouldn't say that to a police officer's face either. What makes you hate them so much? Someone just happened to catch the latter part when he was getting beat. Yes, the police used excessive force, but he attacked them, because he was high on drugs.

Finally...somebody who knows what actually happened during the Rodney King case. The dude was a f.ucking dirtbag who deserved to get his ass beat. Anybody know he delivered a few beatings of his own...on his wife?
BTW...for the record, hospital records state Rodney King recieved "Minor scrapes and bruises." Hardly the "beating" the media portrays.

1. "were all humans" is not an excuse to escape justice.

2. This is not a 'fvck da police' thread. This is a 'celebrate becuase justice has been served' thread. THeres a difference. Id just as soon make such a thread after Saddam was hanged, but this board bans political threads.

3. oh, and Ive never been arrested. Dont know what its like to be in the back of a cop car, or be in hang cuffs etc. Just minor traffic violations. I hate police becuase of the many cases of injustice and abuse of power IVe seen. And the neglect they give on victims who need them. COPS ARE CLEARLY NOT YOUR FRIEND.

4. Cops are not here to protect us, theyre here to get payed by the government. They will do as little as possible to keep getting payed unless its an abuse of their power.

5. This isnt about Rodney king, this is about LAnce Schilling, and the justice he served for us with a gunshot to his head.

6. Yes, its perfectly fine to celebrate when someone kills themself if that act is the serving of justice. Which it is in this case.

7. Family is not an excuse to escape justice. If the children have to go on fatherless or go to a foster home, or get deported. OH WELL! The criminal should have thought about his children before he commit the crime, he knw the consequences Just as Lance Schilling should have thought about that before he started to senslesly beat the poor man and then force himself into a situation where he can serve justice by either killing himself or letting a an inmate do it when hes in prison.

8. The American Justice System may not have sentenced Lance Schilling the death penalty, but justice itself has sentenced Lance Schilling the death penalty with the option of how he dies.

The second Lance started striking that poor man with the video camera rolling, Justice itself was sentencing him the death penalty right there as he punched! After that incident, he was put in a situation where he would be forced to die; either by self infliction or the inevitable inmate killing. He chose the former. Justice was served, and the death sentence carried out!! :rockon:

actually, it is worth it. The more people like me come to hate criminals and peoplt who commit brutal crimes, the more this reinforces society to be aversive to commiting those crimes. Right now, Im just hating. But get enough people like me, and the hating becomes action, then this action leads to deterence from the commitment of future brutal crimes.

so yeah, theres a reason. Plus it just feels good to hear about a monster getting what he deserves.

This thread makes me very sad actually. Not because an innocent man was beaten, or a cop took his own life.

What makes me sad is reading all these hateful responses about cops.

I'll tell you this. I used to be a cop. It is the toughest fvcking job in the planet. The media spins one story about a cop doing the wrong thing and the world comes crashing down on all cops.

When you work in law enforcement, nobody sees when you do a good job. The public doesn't see when you chase down a murderer who has a gun in his hand, just looking for an opportunity to throw some lead your way. Nobody sees when you go blazing into a house when you hear a woman screaming for her life, blazing in not knowing how many thugs might be in there that you know are going to fight for their freedom. Every day you work, you go out on the street with the mindset that everyone wants to take your life. You have that mindset, because you know, that there are people out there that given the slightest chance, would take your life.

Most police officers die within 5 years after retirement. The average age is somewhere in the mid-50's, don't have the exact number offhand. The stress and pressure of the job affects you personality, your health, and your family life. You put yourself into situations every day where you might not go home, or situations where you make one little mistake and you can loss you job, get sued and loose everything you have worked for. There are street gangs who have "initiations" where you need to kill a cop to join. There is a cop-killer day of the year.

Law enforcement is one of the truly "thankless", less understood careers there is, and all it takes is one cop to make a wrong choice and the hate starts flying.

There used to be a movement to hate a new religion, and people did. But eventually, this hate brought them crumbling down. All the while, people with this religion stayed true, and eventually got big and persevered. Modern day Christianity in all of its forms is one of the most popular religions.


There used to be a movement to hate people who did not conform, who did not agree, who practiced something else entirely. They'd catch and burn them. Those people stayed true, and persevered. The prosecutors are still hunted to this day by what they've done. Only recently the Catholic Church issued an apology for crimes during Spanish Inquisition.


There is a nation of Armenia, and people in Armenia been through a lot of oppression, for thousands of years. Yet they have preserved by not hating. Fighting back when needed, but moving on once it's done. To date they are the richest culture on earth. But those who oppressed (turks, russia, mangols, etc..) are the poorest.


There is a nation of Afghatistan, who hated with vengence anyone who done any wrong to them. Todate, they are in ruins.


One thing that history can teach us, is that hating is wrong and does not go in history as something monumental and worth remembering.
