Right elbow started to ache yesterday, I thought it would be fine today, but apparently not. Really started to hurt after a few sets on the bench and I had to cut my session short to go and ice it up.

There's always something ..... :-(

Sup fellas. Still about, just having a week taking it 'easy' kinda..... Well doing legs only.

And some bench

A few deadlifts...

Heavy rows.

Super heavy shrugs.

5x5 on 235 lb on the bench.

Couple of pull ups.


Then stopped cos of my elbow causing grief.


Ok, so that doesn't really look like I was taking it easy.... But thinking about resting is kinda the same as doing the damn thing ... Right guys?

Started foam rolling. That shiit HURTS!!!!

I'm doing shorter leg workout s for a few weeks so I can hit them again in a couple of days. Fkkin elbow messing up my gainzzzz.

How You Feel is a Lie

That phrase is the Broz mantra. You simply can't listen to your body because it's lying to you. Broz can cite countless examples of athletes setting PR's on days they didn't even want to train, as well as days where the athlete felt like a million bucks but didn't fare so well in the gym.

Fact is, when I visited Broz he explained that the previous week his wrist was so sore that he could barely warm up with the bar during split jerks, but he pushed through it, eventually felt warmed up, and ended up jerking 405 lbs. The following day his wrist pain had vanished.

He describes this phenomenon as "floating pain" – your body has to hurt somewhere. It will simply migrate from one place to the next while you sleep, and when you awaken you'll discover where it landed.

elbow gave out after about 2 sets, I pushed through and did what I could

cant remember the rest, wasn't impressive.

Frontsquat Session

knee hurt like mad last night, but luckily it was ok when I woke.
Quads still aching from backsquats 2 days ago, I went in anyway.

bar x 12
60kg x 12
80kg x 10
100kg x 6 - *****REP PR*****
120kg x 2 - almost got stuck on the second, but grinded through that sticking point.
125kg x 1 - love that I can still hit that PR - will try to beat it in a couple of days :)

as a session, it was good - definite strength gains even if no pr got broken, getting these heavier ones all in is an achievement in itself , especially with DOMS.

I could honestly have done another set on 120kg but I'm doing frontsquats in 2 days and I wanted to be as fresh as possible.

Quads still hurt just above knees.

Fuggit, was so easy and I didn't even stall add more weight!!!!!
135kg x 1****DOUBLE DIP PR*****

Stalled a bit, but as soon as my spotter touched me I growled at him and got that Shiit up.

On my way to catching the stig!

Some shoulders and some Heavy leg press did me to finish.

Feels sooo good

Congrats on the PR's! For the elbow and knee pain, getting some wraps or sleeves could help, I see quite a few powerlifers wear em, just a thought

I wrap my knees, just mad doms lately from legs every day. I think the elbow is tendonitis, so rest and anti inflammatories.

ok, after a few lighter training sessions I came back through for DEADLIFTS.

its been a while, but I wanted to see what the craic was.

Missed breakfast and really missed out on calorie requirements yesterday - bad day, bad news and all that, so therapy time.

70kg x 12
120kg x 12
170kg x 6
190kg x 3
200kg x 2
210kg x 1
was gonna go for 220, but wasn't feeling it after 210, and I didn't need to add a missed max to my list of woes
so dropped to
170kg x 3 - double overhand grip
30second rest
170kg x 6 - mixed grip
150kg x 10

a few pullups and stretches and off outta there.

elbow was fine and I hit a decent weight for having not eaten in a while (like 14 hours)

feel better now
