In the morning is the best time to go to the gym.

Getting instruction at the gym will be a huge help to me.

When is a good time and day to go to the gym so that it's quiet so I can get the help I need?
If it's anything like my gym, you'll have to make an appointment with the instructor for when you want the appraisal because sometimes they get too busy. Maybe you should ring them up first, or just pop in to the gym and make an appointment.

There is way too much info and options out there and every ass hole thinks he knows best.

Just go to the gym learn how to do all the lifts and don't worry about all the combinations to start.

But do record your weights and reps, so few people do. Not sure how they ever know if they are progressing.

I get the impression that they have no idea what they're doing.

One of my ex's brothers was HUGE when I met him. A couple of months later he was really thin. He had no idea what had happened. From reading this forum I can tell he started doing too many reps and not enough weight, so he burnt off all that mass.

I should get a day off work in the week sometime soon. I'll drop in then and see if I can book an appointment.

If you can afford it, I would suggest getting yourself a licensed personal trainer for awhile. Most gyms have a few on staff. This person can show you how to use the weights/machines properly and can even show you the right foods to eat. Also having someone like this can be very motivating. Good luck!

One question out of curiosity:

Are you black?

No offense meant if any taken. To anyone.

No. BBing.com forums are full of ****, especially the teen section. The people who know what they are doing are far and few between, and many of them take steroids so their routines are useless to a natty lifter. Stay away from the forums. The main site is OK for info though.
this is the farthest thing from the truth. look through the picture index.. there are hundreds of people who know there sht(unlike here uhum heizen)..bodybuilding isn't rocket science
