X-Files re-watches, especially for the first few seasons, would be interesting. Which races/species would they be? From what I understand, it's the 10 foot tall ones which are the bad ones. The preying mantis looking ones who are the masterminds of their grey-drone armies (who are typically just "doing their job"). Then you have the South American UFOs encounters which are typically way more hostile than North American UFOs.

Based on the definition of the hostile "preying mantis/insectaloid" aliens, who have an underwater base off the Cataline islands and have other underground locations (some which were drilled in accidentally and resulted in a confrontation), aren't these the ones that keep popping up in Las Vagas, and now in Miami, and somewhat rumoured to be attacking Peru villages?

Generally, humanoid aliens are neutral or friendly and possessing a higher vibrational nature, but the purported "annunaki" (not trying to get the thread shut down lol) were unusually war-like by humanoid standards with noted dispositions towards jealousy and violence. There are what appears to be depictions of nuclear wars in ancient mythology and there's been traces of radioactivity in the middle east from ancient times. So if they indeed had a hand in our creation, these traits would in some degree be derived from them.

That being said, there is some controversy surrounding the annunaki appearance, whether or not they are humanoid or actually reptilian, possibly hybrid with shapeshifting or avatar capabilities.

As a true Believer,I have reflected on this quite a bit....I believe given the infinite nature of time and the Universe itself,it is so unlikely as to be all but impossible for us to be contacted by anything,unless of course we were seeded by or created by them in a Laboratory....Given the latter potentiality maybe we have been contacted by similar Laboratory creations that suited some of the moons around Saturn...
The crop Circle near the SETI centre itself that suggested they were,unlike us,created from the Silica atom, is food for thought....Some of the answers are in Area 51.

Universal consciousness/"Galactic" collaboration growth.
Time is non-linear: Some species are not traveling through space but rather time. They know something about us that will make us completely rethink who we are, our place in the universe, where we come from, etc. And our time has the potential to change outcomes positively.

For a lesser evolved/hostile race:

Earth's resources
Colonization
Humans can be used for experimentation and scientific research
Humans are "farmed" and used for labor aka slavery

At the end of the day, it is much like the old "good and evil" fight on Earth. The good will always conquer. There will be bad times but the light will always prevail over darkness. The more evolved races want us to overcome our flaws, mishaps, and shortcomings because believe it or not (hard to when you see so much stupidity and "evil), humans have enormous potential.

I read something once along the lines of the aliens are desperate to figure out how to obtain the same "connection to the universe" that we innately have that they do not because it is so powerful but yet humans don't even know they possess it or what they are capable of doing with it. It said they are so frustrated because they know of it and how to use it but don't have it and view it as "wasted" on us.

Look at this segment of a portal in the middle of a trail in the forest that was discovered in this hiker's camcorder after the fact. It's very difficult to distinguish the figure within the circular bubble.

I've also heard of a similar story on the documentary Missing:411 (Hunters), (ie can find a pirated copy on vimeo and watch it for free - guilt-free as there is no other paid copies available where I'm from), where near the last 20 min of the documentary, a lady observed a creature going from one tree to another but in a phase-in/phase-out state until it disappeared and something funny was going on in the woods.

In the video above, Imagine if a hiker inadventenly crossed path with that portal that appeared in the back, in a different timing, in such a way that he was enveloped by that same circle. Do you think he would still be here today to share that story or may have slipped out into another dimension by the same technology that is putting that creature into this dimension?

As a scientist myself I think 2 things:

1. The objective body of evidence worldwide is now too large for it not to be real.

2. We cannot possibly know, from our limited Earthbound perspective, and our limited lifespan and biological capabilities, everything there is to know in science or physics or biology or space-time continuum.

I have always had an innate knowing of this truth. I cannot say why.

There exist technologies that remain beyond our grasp. Earth bends time secondary to its gravity. This aspect of physics is only now beginning to be understood.

There are technologies in evidence that cannot be explained through human understanding.

Life can be silicon based rather than carbon based. We know there are silicon based unicellular organisms living in the deep sea who flourish in volcanic vents. So if we (large carbon based life forms) developed, there is no reason large silicon based life forms may have developed somewhere else in the universe where conditions were conducive.

You have to embrace the “not knowingness”. I know people who have been assigned to nuclear facilities including the silos in the military. They have ALL witnessed things they cannot explain.

You have to retain an openness and curiosity about things. We cannot explain everything and evidence is becoming irrefutable that we do not have all the answers nor all the observed technology.
