The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

Not a factual statement. Potatoes aren’t sufficient as a protein source. Whey and milk are obviously fine. Also note that legumes + grains in conjunction are complimentary proteins. Vegetarianism is a great longevity diet but it will be quite difficult to build muscle or compete...

Low carb diets: can you have cheat days?

Don’t do low carb diet. They are pointless and cause more harm than good.

Handle them by not handling them.

The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

Carbs are the best energy source. Do not avoid carbs. People in 2025 don’t seem to be capable of nuanced ideas. All carbs are not created equal. Cookies and potato chips are not the same as fruit, sweet potatoes, and legumes. It is difficult to overconsume healthy carbs. They are too...

The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

Ahh. Cottage cheese. I’m nutritionally not a fan of dairy at all. It tastes good. However, it’s not health promoting.

The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

No opinion on cheesecake. Can’t say I recommend it although it is a dessert so I assume it’s not something anyone really eats outside of special occasions. Bread, pasta, and rice are all good if they are whole grain. Rice should be brown or black.

The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

Because it is an elimination diet. Carnivore, Keto, Mediterranean, Whole-foods plant based all have in common that they ditch processed junk food. That doesn’t make carnivore “healthy.” It just has the benefit of eliminating some common bad shvt.

The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

Like how you can’t get fiber from beef. The difference health wise why beans are better for long term health vs beef come down to three things- 1) Fat content - Red meat is high in Saturated Fat. Go research the correlation between saturated fat and mortality 2) Gut Health- Beans feed your...

The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

Are you sure the research says that? The bean-eater will prosper later into life than the beef eater will. Not even debatable from a medical standpoint.

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

That is a skill issue (don’t drive like an aszhole).

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

If you want a manual, get one while you still can. The tech is obsolete. Even Auto Transmissions are starting to be slowly phased out for “single/no speed”and CVTs.

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

That’s an outlier. A 5,400 lb Sedan sounds like a personal problem. Curb weight of some common PHEVs/Hybrids/EVs: Chevrolet Volt (discontinued) 3,500 lbs Chevrolet Bolt 3,600 lbs Toyota Prius Prime 3,500 lbs Honda Accord Hybrid 3,500 lbs Toyota Camry Hybrid 3,500 lbs Toyota Corolla Hybrud...

The carnivore diet: yah or nay?

Don’t do it OP. It’s a good way to die earlier. We are omnivores, albeit it closer to the grass eaters than the meat eaters. You should be eating a ton of fruits and vegetables. Be prudent with your animal based protein sources (fish and lean meats).

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

Most Tesla are AWD and IIRC use cheap tires. Just get tires with a tread wear warranty. The OEM I had was Michelin Energy Savers, a 50K tire. Yeah range drops off in the winter, it can be up to 50% lower. Electric is less efficient at heat generation. Plug-in hybrids will often use the gas...

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

EV batteries have only gotten lighter. You have to look at the total curb weight of the vehicle. Engine has weight of its own, as does fuel, transmission, fluid etc. My volt is 3500 lbs and has both battery and engine. my previous car was an ICE that shared the same chassis and weighted 3200...

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

There’s been no difference whatsoever in tire wear in my experience and I’ve never heard this be a concern among hybrid or EV cars.

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

Why are you so bothered by EVs? They’ve been mainstream for more than a decade now. EV owners charge their car right at their house with no issue. I’ve had my plug-in hybrid for 7 years. And it’s still under warranty (NJ and all CARB compliant states warranty EV powertrain for 10 year, 150K...

Hybrid (Corolla, Camry, Civic) vs none Hybrid?

Amazing how everything posted here is false. Why the fear mongering? EV drivers charge at their home not in public.
