You think I haven't thought of masking? People see right through it. At best it makes them think I'm weird.. at worst they get even more unnerved.
At this point it's divided between short-term gratification and training when I have the time/money.
And with this fantastic new capacity to victim-blame yourself, you proceeded to then do.. what?
I swear "you're the common denominator" is such a platitude at this point. WHAT'S THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION??
Yes. I AM feeling their inability to come up with a genuine reason for my behavior being "wrong."
I just wish it didn't get to me so much and I can remain calm when these things happen.
I just naturally offend people. No idea what it is about me or why, but people just start with me a lot and I'm often made out to be "the *******" in the room for the most trivial reasons.
At this point I've kind of accepted it as a part of who I am and it's made me pretty jaded with any advice...
The policy where I work is that the windows get cleaned every 6 months.
The thing is that's complete garbage and whoever made that policy needs their mouth filled with shot.
If you don't clean those windows every single day, they will look like ****. Thing is I'm the only person who sees this...
Because starting a business only works when you already have money..
.. also when you're pathetic enough to tell the customer they're right.
Next on the list of "common half-assed advice that doesn't actually mean anything."
Sounds like the kind of book that tells you to tolerate tons of bs in the hopes of getting rich. Not my style.
That's certainly the first step and a big part of this. The second would be effectively taking advantage of my importance and developing the mindset to do so.
Easy. People who get into managerial positions don't just do their jobs for money. They do their jobs in order to feel useful to society and feel like they're doing a "duty." Therefore they expect the people below them to feel the same way.
Are we done living in imagination land now?
Now as...
No they absolutely don't "know this." Are you kidding me right now?
Workers exist to make the people above them feel powerful and to satisfy ego. What you're describing is lip-service they give you.
EDIT: If what people think of me causes them to treat me like ass, yes that's my business.
What motivates me to be this person?
The contradiction between my distain for workplace politics and my enjoyment of being competent.
I want to be competent.. but I also want to make it clear to those around me that I'm competent for myself and not the people above.
For some people, being overly cautious of what their boss thinks makes them work harder.
Not me.. and that has a lot to do with my general paranoia involving authority and what they say vs what they mean.
My ideal "workplace archetype," if you will, is that guy who always seems to be two...
So just to take care of this right out the gate, the whole "fish catching" analogy will never not be stupid. The input of women is important and most men don't know ****.
That being said, I do think that Courtney is a bit of an idiot.
First of all, she's a gold-digger under the guise of being...
The more I think about it, the more I don't ever want to buy milk again.
****'s meant for babies.. of other species. I get that we alter it slightly from how it comes out but that doesn't make it any better for me.
Imagine someone keeping human milk in their fridge and drinking it. "Indirect...
