I used to be obsessed with tennis when I was younger. I noticed I tended to pay better after I had watched a match on TV. Something about the players' movement and shot selection rubbed off on me, or reinforced what I already knew.
Interesting. The only effect that I have ever noticed playing tennis near a semifinal/final of a major (when I tend to watch tennis) is that I am somewhat more energetic and passionate about playing. That could translate into better play.
At both public and private courts, it is more difficult to get court times in the 2nd week of a major or in the few days immediately after the final of a major than any other time during the year.
The effect of the previous sentence is somewhat dependent upon a region's climate as well. Demand for indoor courts is less affected by a region's climate.
Mix Philadelphia, a city that has almost zero morale, majorly working class and has almost nothing going for it,( except football and a statue of a fictional boxer ) with the birds being in the Super Bowl, and the deep drinking culture in Philly and the game itself. It’s the best way to approach. I would do it if down there the way I am outlining.
Philadelphia is passionate about its pro sports teams. That's more true than most cities. Like Philadelphia, Dallas has pro sports teams in football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.
The most recent appearances of the Rangers and Mavericks in the World Series and NBA Finals didn't affect seduction in Dallas. I didn't mention those events on the "Dallas Scene" thread on this forum. Neither of those series were competitive either. The Rangers dominated their series and the Mavericks were dominated by the Celtics in theirs.
The Dallas Cowboys have not played in the Super Bowl since before I arrived in Dallas.
The Cowboys are more of a big deal in Dallas-Fort Worth than the Rangers, Mavericks, or Stars (hockey).
I also think the Super Bowl hits differently than a World Series, NBA Finals, or Stanley Cup Finals. Even if the Phillies, Sixers, or Flyers got to a winner take all Game 7 in those series, it wouldn't have the same meaning as a Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is a bigger cultural event than any of those.
The Eagles have been good in recent years. A quick Google search shows that this is the Eagles' 3rd Super Bowl appearance in the last 8 years. The Eagles won the 2017-18 season Super Bowl (February 2018) but lost in the 2022-23 season Super Bowl (February 2023).
I have found game watching events to be a bit of a penis block for seducing. The alumni group game watching events I've been to have all been regular season college football and college basketball games. I also don't tend to go to bars where hardcore sports fans would be in Dallas.
There is one bar in Dallas that has a happening singles scene and it is near the American Airlines Center (arena where Mavericks and Stars play). I reviewed the venue in depth in November 2023 on the Dallas Scene thread. Plenty of people go to this bar after Mavericks games, Stars games, or concerts at American Airlines Center. The bar does well even on nights when there isn't an event at the arena, but it is a little bit better after an event at the AAC.
I didn't update this thread during October 2022 so I missed highlighting a key annual event every October in Dallas. The Saturday on every Columbus Day weekend in Dallas is a big deal. It's the second Saturday during the State Fair of Texas. It's also when the annual football game between the...

If the Cowboys had been to the Super Bowl more recently, I think I would have more direct advice applicable to
@BPH and his current situation.
