When I'm out alone, I'm the invisible man. No one gives me any attention. If there's a woman by my side, I turn into Channing Tatum wearing a G-string on stage. All eyes on me baby.

My question is: what should I do with all this attention? Some of the chicks who give me attention are actually hotter than the one by my side, so it's quite hard not to look. Sometimes I reflexively smile too.

Now, I know why they do it because I already read The Rational Male. But is it beta to give them attention back while I already have a plate by my side?

That is a lose-lose situation.

You lose the girl you're with because you went after the "bigger better deal" right in front of her.

You lose the girl you're now going after because she witnessed you discarding your girl the moment she came around, and there's no longer any mystery or chase.

People in general want what they can't have - when you're out with another girl, you're "taken", even if only for that night.

Makes sense. I usually try my best to ignore but sometimes I just fail, know what I mean. I gotta be more stoic about this.

Why wouldn't you give a glimpse at a hottie who is "casually" passing by?

I imagine you haven't done it, cause that's not what happens. And if a girl gets so emotionally wrecked that you "lose her" (she's never yours its just your turn) for giving a glimpse at another female who is maybe hotter than her, she saved you a lot of fvcking drama.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Are you asking our permission?

Listen, have you ever been checked out by a girl while her boyfriend was completely oblivious?

Yes?

You know why?

Because she isn't ogling you like a thirsty doe.

Wolves don't let the prey know they're observing. Keep the attention you give other women minimal to non-existence raises your status, because women have no respect for guys who cannot ogle unobtrusively.

And, your observations have to be disavowable, so if you can't be subtle, get sunglasses.

Yes you can check them out while on a date. In fact, as men it’s impossible for us not to. So it’d be an exercise in futility to hit an off switch that doesn’t exist.

That said, be discreet. Being super obvious you’re doing it will sink you with the chick you’re with due to how insecure most women are. You can take some looks without being in her face about it. Just be smart - not rocket science.

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.

Many men will discreetly check out other women while out in public with an early stage date, an exclusive girlfriend, or even a wife.

On an early stage, pre-sex date, it could be lose-lose as @BPH described if you get caught doing it.

If a girlfriend catches you doing that, it could cause some unpleasantness for a time. It's not going to lead to a breakup in most cases, but there could be 24-48 unpleasant hours until she gets over it.

This thread should be retitled. It is more about how to handle indications of interest when being out on a date.

Being social is not a crime. If someone smiles at you, smile back. If you’re nice to everyone then it’s not out of character to be nice to the dime piece walking by you. This applies when in social proximity to you, not if she’s smiling at you across the room. If you do this effectively you can work the newcomer into your group or even if it’s the two of you out on a date, if done effectively you can work her into a conversation with your date if you keep it nonchalant.

Make an observation/ situational opener. Tease her a bit. Give your date a little reassurance by getting your date in on it the slightest little bit. Learn commonality with the new one and your date as soon as possible. Reinforce it lightly with your date, putting her at at ease and nearly ensuring new one is welcome. Get them chatting. Say I’ll let you girls chat I am going to get a drink what can I get you both. Stay away for a couple minutes, let them focus on building their new friendship.

Make sure you have enough space in your bed later that night for both them.
