The head of United Healthcare Group, Andrew Witty, the parent company of United Healthcare, wrote that he understands “people’s frustrations” with the American health care system.

“No one would design a system like the one we have. And no one did. It’s a patchwork built over decades. Our mission is to help make it work better,”

Who here believes his mission was to make it work better? And for whom? The people, or the United HealthCare executives?

Him(made 23.5M last year) and Brian Thompson have been at it for years, at the top of the food chain, yet haven't done a damn thing to alleviate people's frustrations. United Healthcare has spent about 50 million in the last 10years lobbying Congress. Why do you suppose they gave so much to lobbyists that tried to persuade Congress to act in their favor? Why not put that 50 million towards claim payouts? Ohh yeah because Brian and Andrew would have been left out in the cold and missed out in millions of compensation. The stock price wouldn't have went from $200 a share to over $500 a share in 4yrs with out those at the the top maximizing income and minimizing expenses. Don't need an economics degree to understand that concept. But I'm sure one with a law degree could twist it up for us.

If you want the answers you follow the money. Its always been that way. Live by the sword, die by the sword. I guess it was Brian's time.

That sounds like three separate issues though, even if they might be related in this case. There's how much money corporate CEOs make, there's the healthcare issue, and then there's the issue of thinking you have the right to end another person's life.
So I ride upon you in the desert where you laid for several days, lips dry and blistered, skin burned....you are about to die from dehydration and I have 2 canteens full of water, should I share? Do I not have some responsibility because I was blessed with the wealth of extra water that could keep you alive? Ultimately I could end your life by depriving you of water. Or is it 3 separate issues?

Even one of America's most popular presidents agrees:
JFK peaceful resolution impossible makes violent revolution inevitable.jpeg

He smiled into security cameras.
If you read into him, you'll find that his mother was a victim of this health insurance. This CEO was directly involved in the constantly changing terms and conditions regarding coverage that his ailing mother suffered needlessly to fill the pockets of the board of directors and stockholders.
I don't know about that. By all accounts, this guy's family is very wealthy. If his mother was suffering, I doubt it had anything to do with insurance coverage. From what I've read, the guy lost the plot because of his own health issues which also likely had nothing to do with insurance. Apparently, he was born with a spine defect that causes him to experience excruciating pain. It either couldn't be treated or the doctors didn't do a good job.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

Dude has a ripped physique for having debilitating, excruciating back pain, just sayin'
