Master Don Juan
Redpill opens our eyes to understanding why marriages often fail, why the job security promised by companies is largely illusory, and so much more. I could elaborate on numerous other examples, but that would only add unnecessary length to this discussion.
The point is this: when you begin to question everything you once believed and adjust your core values to align with a more realistic worldview, it feels as though you become more aware of these truths. However, you may find that you can no longer enjoy life as fully as you once did.
To illustrate this, I will share an example of a friend who found himself in a challenging situation—one that I imagine you may have experienced as well. He is very much a blue pill person; he never knew about the red pill. Through his "faith", along with self-help books, he "self-conditioned" himself and managed to overcome his difficulties by creating a profession he believes in. What I want to convey is that the red pill offers us a new perspective that challenges the beliefs instilled by society. It restructures our value system but also diminishes the strength that the blue pill provided—namely, the strength derived from "self-conditioning."
You know how when you read a self-help book, you recognize it as a blue pill concept? Yet at the same time, it benefits you because it inspires change and reinforces the self-conditioning that leads you to believe in your potential for improvement. Adopting the red pill may give you what feels like the right knowledge, but it can lead to a more miserable existence. In contrast, embracing the blue pill might make you somewhat naïve and prone to mistakes; however, without awareness of those mistakes, you might actually enjoy life much more.
It would be awesome to hear your take on this.
