Yeah...for guys looking to date up, this is the best time of year...chicks will date guys they aren't really interested in long term from October to February because they think they are cool guys and like spending time with them and it's better than trying to keep dating throughout the winter.

Lots of easy sex for several months on the table during this time of year.

Just realize if you start dating someone now there is a good chance you will be a part of their spring cleaning cycle.

This is what happens when you come up with theories in your mind instead of knowing from experience.

Nobody in cold climates wants to be going on first dates when it's 25 and snowing out. They want to have someone that can come over and snuggle on the couch under a blanket next to the fireplace and cook dinner/order food, watch shows/movies and fvck.

Maybe it's different where it's warm til December but not where it starts snowing in Mid October.

Why would the holidays be any big deal? You wouldn't be "serious" at that point so they likely wouldn't even know about you yet. That's the whole point about these "realtionships". Not serious, just someone to get thru winter with.

After long days for multiple months, it can feel that way when the sun starts to go down earlier.

Somewhere in the late Winter-early Spring, it can feel good to notice the days getting longer.

Time of year again, boys.....They are ready to strap yo ass down, my dudes.

There is a cuffing season effect and it tends to benefit beta males with a stronger relationship orientation the most. Not all beta males will see an improvement in their outcomes during cuffing season. It tends to benefit betas already in the real life orbit of some existing female the most. A beta trying to find new, previously unknown women on one of the major swipe apps during this time of year won't observe too many changes.

My point of view may be skewed somewhat by the fact that I don't live in an area with a strong cuffing season. While it gets colder where I live, the winters are relatively mild. I think the mild winters moderate the effects of a cuffing season. The days are shorter and darker even with mild temperatures.

I did a great write up of what cuffing season is like in my city in Post #50 of this thread. There's a lot of good content throughout this thread, so I recommend going back through the past posts for those who haven't seen this thread before.

For many of the younger (20s-early 40s) women in my city, there's not a major incentive to cuff. There are a lot of transplants from areas that are far away. These women might cuff for their own purposes during the winter, but a cuffing season boyfriend isn't going to help them much for the family visits in places over 1,000 miles away (1,609+ kilometers). That fact does reduce their motivation to cuff a beta male. If these women don't have social circle options and have to resort to meeting strangers, they would be more likely to meet strangers who give them more of "the feels". Those men are more likely to be alpha or sigma males.

I perceive that younger, childless women tend to make holiday season plans differently than younger, childless men. Women tend to make a bigger deal of the holiday season and do more family visits. Many single, childless men are content in not making a big deal out of the holiday season. If family doesn't live near them, they are less motivated to do family visits. The holiday season in the USA is centered around women of all relationships status and men in established, longer term relationships. Men who are unattached and marginally attached in their romantic lives are not motivated to do much during the holiday season. The holiday season is more of a nuisance for him than anything else.

Unattached and marginally attached men will tend to notice women becoming less available during the November 15-January 1 time period due to family visits and other holiday obligations.

October is a good month for finding new relationships. It's the last chance to find something before the 6 week dead zone. November 15-January 1 is pretty much a dead zone for starting new relationships with strangers. Most women have way too many family and travel obligations during that time to be able to give enough attention to starting something new. One exception to this is if the woman has primarily local family members. Those women can be available to date because they aren't dealing with excessive holiday travel.

You really can’t label everyone as a beta to get ‘locked down’ this time of year. Opportunistic more likely.

Living in the midwest in a cold state Nov-Feb are 2nd best months to game(OLD, nightgame, social circle) May-September is number 1
Tons of chicks who are still down to hang out, meet, dtf, etc
The part of the country I live one monkey (cold/snow) doesn't stop the show
Bars tend to be more packed, people are still going to sporting events etc
Yes there are times when it gets to cold or snowy but IME Nov-Feb are some of the best months to spin plates

We agree on December on being a ghost month/dead zone.

Why do you think January and February are ghost months? I guess you don't buy into the motivated singles coming off of a crappy holiday season observation. The online dating platforms all report a spike in activity during the first week of the new calendar year.

I'm more of a real life approacher than a tech-based dater. I think the January-February spike is more of an online thing than a real life thing but motivated singles can still be found in January and February either through daygame or night game.

March and April are good months. The days are noticeably longer after a bleak few months. I think people are in better moods with the longer days. The women who did get cuffing season boyfriends dropped them either after New Years Day or Valentine's Day.

Damn I’m even beneath the betas since I don’t have a decent job and no social circle at all, that’s brutal. What you say is true though, it seems like a lot of cuffing season pairings are short lived. That would be beneficial to me though because of the fact that I’m inexperienced at 31 and want to date around and get some experience.

But like I said, my SMV is so low that cuffing season wouldn’t even give me a leg up of any kind. Seems like there is a benchmark SMV requirement for cuffing season to even help you and if you’re below that, it won’t increase your chances at all.

Cuffing season is a bit mild in Dallas.

Back in 2019, the Match Group (headquartered in Dallas) released some data from a 5,000 person survey they conducted.

They considered Dallas to be one of the worst cities for cuffing season based on their own criteria. They said Dallas singles were the least sex while still being interested in casual dating.

There probably is some benchmark SMV. Attraction and seduction come down to looks, money, status, and personality.

In order to be a beta who is a good cuffing season person, I would think the beta would need to be at least average looking as part of being Mr. Good Enough. Not overweight is a start. Women might loosen their looks standards a little bit from Chad Thundercocck (6'0"+ and fit/muscular) but they aren't going to settle for some overweight guy with subpar facial aesthetics. It's going to be a middle of the bell curve guy who won't stand out too much. On money/status, having a decent provider type job is ok for cuffing season but not much more. It's a respectable job guy to take home to the family. The social circle stuff is part of personality. Not being a overconsumer of porn is part of looks and personality too.
