I have noticed that my energy levels recetly started to drop even more (I see a visible step down every 5-6 years now -I have definitely less energy when I was 34). How do you keep this battle running and winning - this is a quesion to 40y old guys predominantly, as it is possible that x<35 guys pretty much dont know what I am talking about.

My ideas are mostly gym & running as well as sleeping at least 7 hours. per day What arey your methods guys?

Also I quit drinking booze compared to my 20s and 30s where I would drink multiple times a week. Now I drink once a week tops, on the rare occasion I do drink more than once a week it's never at home (I seldom keep liquor at the house now unless I know I have lady coming etc)

Supplements zinc, GABA, vitamin C&D, Maca root etc

Exercise and good diet go a long way. Good diet is highly underestimated, but it's so so important. Eat light, include lots of protein and veggies, and you'll be flying high.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Yup, I need to cut on cakes/sweets (I started to eat it more due to my wife and her parents preparing a lot of "treats" for us - I was pretty much low sugar guy until I started hitting more of "family events").

I have also neglected my basic training routine (probably that hit me hard alas some positive effects are still around and some of them were around for long but have disappeared just recently).

I sucked at proper sleep (alas I am better at it right now) - this getting back at me. Same for improper preparation for workouts (lack of proper warm-ups), I also drive car much more than I was before I was 35 (due to more family-oriented life). More driving, less walking.'

Stressful white collar job also does not help.

exercise (basketball/bicycling, working out, etc.) and a goal in life, something that you have passion for. for me it's film making and trying to start a business.

for me it's really bad when I'm out of shape. it hurts my energy levels a lot.

Like Travel memoir said. Intermittent fasting and semen retention. I'll add vitamins and good sleep. Controlling your dopamine releases (get rid of social media unless it's for business / money-making purposes). And having passions and getting small wins from those passions. Purposely search for small wins in your endeavors and get excited about them. At this age, that's what keeps energy high.

Manage your energy levels. Specifically, know when the best time is for you to have your cup of black coffee (if you drink coffee) and then expect a "crash" and learn how to recover from it (quick nap, meditation, etc).

From my experience, my energy levels have a strong relationship with my mental state. There have been many times when I felt "tired," but upon receiving news of something, my body becomes energetic and revitalized. Sometimes, it takes a lot of trying to find the right perspective on things mentally in order for your body to "energize" itself.

Receiving fellatio first thing in the morning, then an espresso macchiato and vaping some cannabis, that gets me going.
If you want something more active, you can replace fellatio with irrumatio.

Mentality also plays a huge role. Try to think or do stuff that gets u excited and rallied up. Gets the blood flowing

Eliminated alcohol
Lots of Sativa
Coffee
Walking & Weightlifting

Learning to be more appreciative and grateful for experiences and possessions.

But its a paradox, fending off the effects of time (it always wins).

Though some are not lucky enough to age at all.
You're spot on with that last point.

It's funny how so many things that are supposed to energize you in the short term (like coffee and sugar - and I bet some would say Sativa, though I don't partake) end up sapping you of energy in the long term. I love my caffeine, but I know people who have quit coffee and says it gives them energy - because they don't rely on that cup of coffee to get them going, they just get up and get at it.

funny, I don't like coffee, well I don't like hot beverage mostly, so I don't drink it, and don't feel like I need it to work, guess my only trash I tend to eat is sodas, but i limit it to weekends

Mental health and good deep sleep are my strongest pillars that I can’t let rust out when it comes to energy.
There've been dark times in my life when everything physically was fine but I was just dragging myself through the day and it was definitely depression I hadn't realized was setting in. The Black dog sneaks up on you, once he's there you can't fight him, only placate him.
Always do some dynamic stretching after waking and drinking a liter of water (with electrolytes is better).
That stretch routine will be like a natural high infused with natural caffeine and will set the mood for the day.
Quit porn if you engage. Bust nuts only on females not in your hand.
Did I mention mental health? Start peeling the onion from there.

Unfortunately part of it is good genetics. My testosterone is the top end of the highest range for a mid 20’s male. That said, have gotten away with absolute dietary and physical abuse over the years as a result of it. Keys to staying energetic for me are, in no particular order:

sleep and mental health
Physical fitness, largely in weight training and some burst cardio
Social, spiritual and family time helps my personal philosophy which ultimately guides decisions and actions (from dr. Daniel amen’s 4 circles of happiness approach)
Diet
Fasting
Vitamins and nootropics
Professional success

I have come to that conclusion as well that even mental stamina and physical energy all trickles down to genetics. Genetics cut way deeper than just physical appearance.
Having a healthy social battery also provides more circulating energy. In order to succeed and regardless the area, you need to build network with strong relationships. 9 dimensions of wellness.

Notice most of the replies are by people under age 40. To actually get replies from guys born before Reagan's second term, we would need an area of the forum with that age restriction.

Good diet
Lift weights
Cardio
Sleep

Takes a little time to form the routine but once you do, it becomes a habit. I’m over 50 and fitness seems to fall off a cliff if I stop for more than a week. You have to keep a regular routine going, doesn’t have to be extreme. Switch up activities so your body is having to re-adapt and exercise different body parts . Fellatio or irrumatio on rest days would be good too.
