There are some real risks in dating women with less than a bachelor's degree AND who don't have a solid trade certification/associate degree. Many of these women have some background and character issues. There does need to be some screening for those.

When a man is considering the potential of dating a retail worker, restaurant worker, bartender, or stripper not pursuing a trade certification/bachelor's degree, there are many considerations.

The typical daytime white collar worker or daytime blue collar worker doesn't have a work schedule/life schedule that tends to match up well with retail workers and other workers I described above. The service sector worker is more likely to need to work during nights and weekends. Nights and weekends are times when a white collar or blue collar worker will want to spend time with a potential girlfriend.

The timing issue is an issue that's just as relevant as socioeconomic status.

The happy medium tends to be women with solid trade certifications/occupations and women with bachelor's degrees from non-elite universities who are not careerist women.

I believe the issue is not her socio-economical status but her thinking processes and habists as much as her social circle.

I would equally avoid an humble girl that has low advanced social skills as much as a rich one that is cunning and experienced but lacks humbleness and warmth.

Not sure I made myself clear.

Then you are ok with being a provider :)

This is just one of the retarded things that are preached here

One one hand it does not matter what she does for a living, on the other hand none of these dudes want to be providers

If you do not want to be a provider then you should date girls at your social economic level or higher
Doesn’t matter to me. I like her for her.

Bon Jovi married a waitress. Just saying.
I believe Jon is from a blue-collar working class background himself and worked his way up to becoming a professional musician. He probably cherishes the same hardworking ethic in the woman he shares his life with.

Bruce Springsteen, another 'working class hero' married a model in the 1980s and everyone wondered why. The marriage lasted only a short time and Springsteen married Patti Scialfa, who was already a singer/musician in his band. Again, Patti and Bruce share a similar background, which probably strengthens their bond.

Do you believe that socio-economic background matters more than values, attraction, and pair bonding ability?
No, I don't, but I'd like to nuance that the higher the disparity the more it influences the stability. With regards to socio economic backgrounds, these should at least overlap, if only slightly, if in a Venn diagram.

Everyman is a provider to some extent. Its the nature of women.
Ok, cool

Then we all are in agreement that stupid threads about alpha vs beta and stuff like that are retarded in the best case scenario

No, women are not so black and white. All different. They want the best of all worlds if they can get it. Good looks, alpha traits, status, money all matter but to varying degrees based on the woman. There are also women who settle for betas because he is a safer bet. The alpha guy is a threat.

Today I was at Target and this cute Latina cashier complimented me and asked for my number to go on a date. I politely declined and told her that I wasn't single. Other than that, it would have been a disaster because she works at Target. I have heard this argument from the manosphere that men do not care about a woman's socioeconomic status, but I call complete BS on that claim. I think this only applies to men that are new rich or were working class/blue collar for a good portion of their life. I am not trying to sound snobby, but there's too many life differences that would get in the way like dealing with her friends, educating her on what a 401k is, and etc. I am in no business to raise a child.
This sounds like something that someone who is trying to rationalize a lost opportunity would say.

Exactly. Socio-economic status is a lie anyway.
No to mention, if you are a successful male, the vast majority of women would be below you on the socio-economic ladder by default. I'm guessing the OP is lower-middle class (and is desperately trying to feel superior to someone).

I voted Yes.

How come no one commented on the above? Almost on every thread guys complain that women don't give IOIs, yet here's an example of a cute woman that directly asks out OP on a date.

Unless the girl is in Target while in school or something, we wouldn't relate to each other at all.
That sounds elitist and narrow minded to me. In the same vein, one could say that a physicist won't be able to relate unless she's also in his field, a doctor won't relate unless she's in the medical field as well and so on.

If the woman is:

18-23 - the man doesn’t care
24-27 - cares 10%
28-33 - cares 25%
34-38 - cares 50%
38+ - cares 100%

When the woman is young, sexy, and fertile, her education isn’t important.
If the woman is older and menopausal, her education is important.

Everything in life depends on a woman’s youth.

it depends on how seriously the Physicist takes his or her career. Try dating a workaholic lawyer or doctor and you will understand what I mean for example.

I would have gone out with her. Cute Latinas are fun. She works so that's good. Besides it's just a drink/chat and maybe a fukk, failing that maybe a cute friend, I wouldn't know anything beyond that and I try not to assign narratives to people.

To put it another way, it's not the socio-economic background itself that matters but rather the values that are imparted by that background.

And how close they are to the values imparted by your background. The more overlap, the less important your background becomes because it's roughly similar. The more dissimilar it is, the more important the size of the overlap becomes.
