its because Gen Z is mentally retarded.
They really are.... i see it at my workplace every day.

They went through a fvcked up education system that just produces halfwits.

Getting through school is just a matter of sitting it out and getting the participation trophy at the end of the school year.

They all think the world owes them something, demanding work/life balance.

They are used to all the "luxury" and infrastructure better generations created, meanwhile they dont want to contribute with their workforce to keep all the comfort of a 1st world country up.

Fvcking Greta is the rolemodel of this generation, entitled, (kept) stupid and in general unfit to pull their own weight in life.

Once this generation is not going to be sponsored by their parents (gen X) and grandparents(boomers) anymore, they will hit concrete along with society as a whole.

I dread the day when gen. X leaves the workforce and boomers will be gone.

I don’t know about you guys but all i see is “immigrants” meaning Hispanics working hard all day and into the night and on the weekends. They pick up any hustle they can get. They don’t buy the 105” HDTV, they save it. They’re always working. Period. They posess a work ethic Americans lost a long time ago.

You want to be a millionaire by 40? Work your fackin ass off like Jesus does. He’s the one standing on the corner at 4am to carpool to dig the ditches you’re too good to.
That's because the immigrants aren't stupid enough to hang out here hoping that one day if they just HOPE hard enough, a woman will fall into their lap. I know guys down south that have lay counts in the 100's, no cash, and pathetic guys up here who are pushing 40, make in an hour what they make in a day, and still have yet to even speak to a girl [and have read the entire DJ bible]. A few years back I offered a kid here who was making minimum packing groceries, a $40/hr job. He turned it down because it sounded boring and he'd have to 'travel'. I have another friend who consistently bitches about the money he makes but when I suggested a CDL, he starts ranting about not wanting to work 80 hours because he won't be able to 'smoke weed?' and watch netflix, he lives on hot dogs. The guy has an excuse for everything, no responsibility or accountability. The majority of the Millennials and Gen-Z are p a t h e t i c. There is a SERIOUS lack of work ethic/effort today from people who do nothing but moan and it bleeds into everything they do, even picking up women.

The red pill has also morphed into something fit for this generation. Woman are the root of all evil apparently and its a waste of time to even talk to them. I've heard this line from a couple people now who purport to be 'red pill' but haven't spoken to a woman in the last 10 years. They are all about 'fresh and fit', 'looks maxxing' and 'self-improvement' but have yet to do 1 approach. One guy I speak to prefers wacking off 24/7 and insists that I'm weird because I told him to STOP and GO OUTSIDE.

The times are changing. Boomer hate stems from jealousy.

There used to be PUA's EVERYWHERE... everyone was going out on a Saturday night, and even AFCs were TRYING. This new human is something different entirely and they make my skin crawl.

Baby Boomers tend to be conservative minded, maybe thats the main core issue creating so much discontent with younger generations that lean more left?

After you get past the "Boomers are BAD" language, here is what was said:

-pass down the equity
- he took his pension early and is retired, not even 65, many people later on are looking at a life completely devoid of any retirement at all. I'm downright infuriated!
-you shouldn't have to hustle to make it.
- it is about the psychopathy of getting yours and telling people after you to pound sand.
- don't get rid of the teachers union and dont defund the transit system.
- is he trying make sure no else has the same “opportunity?”
-worried about healthcare for fat azzes that gorge them self on a diet of fast food.
-construction is a sh!t job.

Those are very liberal/leftist mindsets.

The other side disagrees because they believe in taking risks, individualism, figure it out on your own, self-made, hard work gets rewarded, self-improvement, get off your a$$, start at the bottom, work your way to the top, self-responsibility. Very much Boomer/conservative thoughts.

@Kotaix & @SargeMaximus called it. Its all identity politics.

Thank you to those who participated. It all makes sense now.
Im as conservative as it gets, the point most people make against the boomers is simple to understand: We are more intelligent, better qualified, younger, stronger with more advantages than boomers ever had yet we will never be paid like you guys were, all we would like is for you to recognize your privileged existence as opposed to complaining about how privileged everyone else's existence is.

I have wealth myself, not from my parents but from my grand parents who chose to skip over my parents and give it to the grand children instead, because they realized how disenfranchised each generation is becoming compared to the last, as a result my parents resent me for it because I won't pay their bills. I'm a privileged individual myself, but I don't just speak for myself.

You calling this identity politics is the height of ignorance when you likely don't even know what identity politics is to begin with outside of being a word you've heard being used. I'll educate you. Identity politics has to do with a lack of culture that the first world creates, it refers to an alternate route from the melting pot of the states where everyone is an individual in the rat race... Notice how people of ethnic cultures don't have purple hair and and whatever other signals you'd associate with the buzz word of identity politics, because they have a culture.

To say hustle culture is identity politics is incredibly ignorant since you yourself are also a part of hustle culture, yet you think you are not? If it wasn't for yours or my privileged existence we'd be out here hustling with everyone else, the difference is I have the character to recognize mine and not just point the finger at everyone else. You lead a privileged life. There are people in your generation who literally won't retire ever, but there are many many more in the future generations who won't retire, yet you have the gall to call them lazy? Are you facing down a life of just working? Try walking a mile in their shoes before you come out with your ignorant theories is all I ask.

Another legitimate point of criticism for Boomers is the absolute terrible job they did parenting Millennials.
the above point is the Boomers' biggest and most legitimate failure. They didn't do enough to pass the Christian faith on to the next generations. We were part of the generation that abandoned churches, so that was a big part of it. That robbed the younger people of traditional morals and values, including a good work ethic. I guarantee you I didn't have things handed to me, I had to fail and restart several times before I finally found my niche. My family was poor and I had to learn to depend on myself.
The Boomers were raised to have strong Christian faiths typically by the GI Generation (1910s - early 1920s births) or the early part of the Silent Generation (late 1920s-1945). Some Boomers did continue to practice Christianity throughout the lives, some fell away, and some practiced a form of Christianity that ignored the inconvenient parts of the dogma (no pre-marital sex, etc.).

In most of the Judeo-Christian churches in 2023 in the USA, most of the attendees now are 55+. Those are mainly Boomers, some Silent Generation remnants, and early Gen X.

While many Millennials were raised in a Judeo-Christian religion, many of them also left their faiths upon entering adulthood. There's a valid criticism here that Boomers didn't raise them to have strong enough faiths to withstand that. Whereas Boomers might have practiced a form of Christianity that ignored the inconvenient parts (no pre-marital sex), the Millennials didn't really want to the bothered at all.

It's interesting how Boomers are hated for being conservative, because one of their biggest failures is the way they embraced leftism when they were younger, and allowed feminism and hedonism to take control. But they say if you aren't liberal when you're young, you have no heart. And if you aren't conservative when you're older, you have no brain.
Second wave feminism got big in the 1960s-1970s. One of the big leaders then was Gloria Steinem (b. 1934 - Silent Generation). 1970s feminism owes some of its success to young Boomers' enthusiasm for the ideas in their young adulthoods.

The inflation stinks today, but you can earn insane salaries now compared to what we had. But most of what I hear from the younger generations is how they want a four day work week, want to work from home, and think things should be handed to them.
Entitled Millennial behavior from bad Boomer parenting. The wild thing is that the Millennials are rapidly hitting middle age now. The oldest Millennials are 42 in 2023 and the youngest ones are 27. The newest crop of workers is now Gen Z (1997-2012 births). The oldest part of Gen Z has been entering the workforce in recent years.

Why is there so much discontent towards baby boomers? I am not one but I see it's fairly common amongst 20 something 's. I guess my generation was raised to respect your elders. We had relationships with our grandparents, uncles, aunts, old people, etc. They had a lot of solid lessons to share.
Because like usual, the younger generations need to find someone to blame for their failures...they take no responsibility for themselves or their own actions in their failures.

It's always someone else's fault...their parents didn't love them enough...the government screwed them over...their job fired them for no reason because they called off constantly due to being "sick"...

And on and on. It never ends.

Literally nobody in this thread said any of this, amazing that rather than interacting with the points being made you've chosen to just make up your own and then provide answers for your own points.

How about keeping the thread on track instead of trying to derail?

I actually remember seeing some articles not that long ago where they surveyed boomers and a good percentage of them mentioned they had no plans of leaving any inheritance for their children.
Sounds like an article generated to manufacture more hate towards Boomers.

Actually the greatest wealth transfer in history is happening right now. $53 Trillion is being passed down to children of boomers. In 2025, the government will reduce the amount that one can gift tax free to their heirs by 50%. Basically the govt will end up getting 20-40% more than they would have, leaving anyone set up to inherit something 20-40% less.

I'm saying why they don't like Boomers. They blame them for their situation. It's a lot easier than looking in the mirror and blaming that person tho.

And it's pretty much accurate.

Because it’s hip to make fun of older generations. I agree that it seems like there was more respect for parents and elders in the past. The decline in family values is very apparent. There is also a lack of respect for what others had to endure. Foolish not to learn from and respect past generations. When the current generation reaches their “Boomer” age, they will be laughed at and criticized too.

Let’s take a glimpse at today, people are confused about what gender they are, society is slowing turning communistic, inflation is through the roof, women are getting educated but being encouraged to be a hoe, men are hated for being men, we have the most technological advanced society with the world literally at our finger tips, apparently everyone is gay, we have everything from electric cars to AI. Many say times are too easy given all the frivolous complaints. Punks today cry about their pronouns while the older generations were in a fox hole dodging real bullets.

Everything is evolving, some for the better and some for the worse. Someday in the future they will be complaining about the Gen Z fvckers that depleated the planet of cobalt and now Wall-E has to deal with the stockpile of trash. This generation is also all about being victims and not taking personal responsibility, which sounds very feminine now that I think about it. Don’t worry, they‘ll get their turn.

He is 36yo. Came here when he was 16. He is simple and humble like the great generation that built this country. Many like him I know first hand in my line of work.
No kidding. I like him already.

Well no, WE are saying why the boomers are hated by pretty much everybody in the newer generations, you guys are not interfacing with any of the points WE are making and are instead inserting your own beliefs on how WE feel instead of actually interfacing with the people who supposedly hold these beliefs you flagrantly attribute to us.

Then you sit here and wonder why boomers are so widely disliked, it's truly an incredible feat of ignorance.

I will say, at least Duke and Zekko to an extent has chosen to interface with some of the points being made here, I can respect that, even if there is not an agreement being came to, at least an exchange of ideas is happening.

Boomers have so epically fvcked up this country.

They by and large have no idea what young people have to go through today and have no empathy for anyone. The whole 'pull up your boot straps and get to work' doesn't work anymore. They accuse the younger generation for just being lazy and entitled, while they sit on their asses collecting social security and enjoying Medicare.

When boomers were in their late teens and early 20s, they could go to college and not be strapped with massive debt... that when the graduated, could get a decent job that paid enough to buy a house and start a family. This isn't true for young people today.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

The younger generation ARE entitled and lazy. What about the silent generation, they got massively fvcked over by wars. The ones before them had no electricity. The boomers (at least my old man) went off to Vietnam and got their ass shot off. This generation hasn't had to deal with sh1t. They've got video games, internet, portable phones, pizza parlors, pornography, CHEAP flights to other countries and they're worried about the economy? Jesus christ, what more do they need to be successful?

Boomers are trying to cut that too. Look at what they are doing to government pensions in the state governments. My last governor ran on destroying the teachers union and defunding the transit system.
My area of Florida is boomer and "greatest generation" central. A lot what is said is true. Around me people buy these nice boats and houses, many of them are retired FBI, CIA, Secret Service agents in my area. I don't know why but my region (town) is a major hub for them to retire. They get big arse pensions those FBI agents. My town has a lot of them and they get big pensions from the Federal Goverment. They get out of the military or college and become FBI and have a mandatory retirement age. They have millions piled up from saving their money for years and years and their pension on top of social security when they retire and they're set pretty well.

FBI, Secret Service pay really well and have great benefits if you can hack it.

We have a lot of pensioners here in Florida and they live high on the hog, especially if you're a saver all your life.

No, the hate is real. It isn’t a trend. Young folks generally have sincere contempt for the older generations. That contempt was earned, by how the boomers fvcked over those that came after them.

Not ignorance at all, I have worked and interacted with many of the younger generations and every word out of their mouth for why they are in their situation is some form of excuse that doesn't involve them.

I'm not a Boomer, FYI, so I have no dog in this fight.

Baby boomers could get through most of life by simply showing up.

I think we have more opportunities then they did but at what cost?

The hate boomers get was their inability to think of a better tomorrow. Global warming, mass debt, SS, war, all these are because the powers that be failed to do any type of planning beyond themselves. They dropped the ball and the younger generations are stuck cleaning up a mess that the culprit refuses to admit was their wrong doing. And all this while they still hold most of the political and financial power.

We are living in a time of ignorance and knowledge. Its like granny is on her death bed and everyone is waiting for her to write the will.
