I don't know rn. I wanted kids a while back. Didn't happen. After that things got more & more sour between us.
I love certain parts of her character but I really hate others.
Love/hate situation.

My personal hierarchy of dealings with women is as follows. It likely isn’t shared by some or many here, but that’s alright and might show something to think about. (I don’t give advice or tell strangers what to do.)

In order:
1. Married with children (marriage doesn’t have to be according to government).
2. Purposeful abstinence from them (MGTOW).
3. Legal escort.
4. No-strings sex understood to be just that.
5. Rock bottom: being a “boyfriend”.

From what you've laid out, it's not all black and white. She's keeping things on the down low, but you've been in the same boat before.

Look, I've been through something kinda similar. A change of scenery and a new face can sometimes just be a breath of fresh air when times are tough. Your girl might just need some space, especially if things have been rocky between you two. Maybe she isn't looking for something romantic, just a bit of a distraction.

But you gotta remember, trust is a two-way street. You guys seriously need to sit down and talk things through, maybe even consider counseling. You both messed up, and it's gonna take some serious work to patch things up. It's all about respect and honesty, man.

I get that.

Its funny tho because up until recently BF was actually the ultimate status;

-no marriage aka half your shyte on the line
-you take her off the market
-you create leverage/curiosity with other women
- steady sex, less risky than hookers/ random 304's.


But nowadays being a bf means nothing. As people pointed out, living together might not mean nothing as we've seen.

I’ll add two examples of men I know whose live-in girlfriends made their lives hell! One of them couldn’t make her leave because of squatter’s rights. That was in a small apartment!

I don't like to be a hypocrite, I cheated on her a number of times, for longer periods of time with one girl, but these semi platonic conversations & meetings are peculiar. I tend to believe her that no sexual activity took place, she was having a tough time on multiple levels this year and maybe this guy was a refuge or something. Something different...

What I didn't mention is that I hired a private investigator to follow her for 2 weeks. During this time she saw him twice. Once at a brewery and the other time at his place where he cooked for her. After the first meeting they parted ways. The PI managed to take some photos as the flat is at ground floor. He showed me a bunch of them where they were sitting at a table eating and on the couch afterwards. The whole thing lasted for about 90 minutes. He couldn't see them at all times but mentioned it was highly unlikely sex occured. That to him it seemed like a "semi platonic interaction".
