The facial hair of the other guy (you?) confuses me. The term "neckbeard" refers to hair attached to the neck - what do you think of cleaning that up? Maybe sideburns could be trimmed as well. Would you agree those changes give you a neater appearance?

When I've had a goatee, I've kept the sides trimmed in a striaght line so it looks neat. You could do that, or choose a clean shaven look (no goatee, no neckbeard, no sideburns). I'd suggest you try something different with facial hair, which you can always grow back later, to see if that helps you compete with your friend.

So like I said that picture is from a few years ago. My hair is much longer in top now with the sides buzzed to a 2 setting in the summer months.

I did do the whole”shave neck” clean look for a few years as you describe but had no difference in ability to pull.
As for my facial hair, if I go clean shaven I will literally look 15 years younger, if not more. I have a baby face without the beard it’s the weirdest thing. With the beard I look edgy, without it, you’d swear I’m still in junior high

Good for him but your take on this place is dead wrong. This is not a money gets you woman place or any extreme at that.
