I've also never heard of a dad bod being a guy that used to be in shape, I always believed it meant a typical body you'd see on a man in his 30s or 40s.

I believe that if looks and general attraction were equal, we'd choose the latter option. I believe that a man is more likely to land the latter option with a woman who has an attraction level towards him that is at least equal to his attraction towards her, ideally it would be higher. The higher her attraction the less inhibited she is and the more submissive she will be. She might not suck Johnny Average Joe off but Chad Thunderclap Cheeks she asks for permission to do so.

I've seen (and I bet a lot of you guys also have) very old dudes who won't be able to have 5 minutes of hard ****, with round bellies and ugly as f*ck with the most stunning babes you could dream of. They were not on top of the "physique hierarchy" but they were on top of their professions, and had markers of social status.
I've also seen wealthy women pay for everything this guy asked of them because the guy was ripped but had not a single dollar on his name. Not on top of his profession, no mark of social status... But on the top of the physique hierarchy.
