My thoughts are you are a copy and paste word dude who makes up stories about false experiences to get some kind of imaginary internet cred. You just posted an article from CNBC and tried to use it to justify your position.
You’re at the extreme end of the caved-in-head scale.
Where are your own thoughts? You have none. GovBrain.
So you're redefining my terms as literally copying and pasting, rather than copying ideas and then rephrasing them and claiming them as their own.You could easily prove that I copy paste.
Where’s the original source, pigeon?
@jaygreenb care to comment? From what I've read, only XMR's code is written in such a way that's untraceable... Though what good would it be if, anyone using private coins can't transfer them to goods/services without risk of jail...
It is untraceable, not a monero expert but it works. Not sure if countries will be ban it, I am sure some will. Most likely transactions would be peer to peer, not normal business. The problem is not sure how effective a ban would be with VPN's and decentralized exchanges. Bitcoin itself will have more privacy features too with Layer 2 solutions and Lightening. I don't understand enough about it on the technical/developer side to really explain it intelligently though. Not sure exactly what your question is@jaygreenb care to comment?
Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

If governments decide to issue govcoins, and threaten all merchants/service providers that accepting private coins will result in jail/major fines,(effectively making them worthless) to where private coins can't be traded for goods/services, what good are they?It is untraceable, not a monero expert but it works. Monero or Bitcoin? No clue what happens with Monero. There is zero indication that they are going to ban bitcoin, in fact quite the opposite. They made it very clear they are embracing the technology. They don't have a choice, would be like banning the internet. Any country that did would be left behindIf governments decide to issue govcoins, and threaten all merchants/service providers that accepting private coins will result in jail/major fines,(effectively making them worthless) to where private coins can't be traded for goods/services, what good are they?
Your not acknowledging the first part of the statement. They'd release their own govcoin... They are not ignoring the tech, they're monopolizing it. I can't see why a government would allow good/services be traded in anything other than governement backed currencies... So they issue their own gov coin, and pass laws that using private coins is akin to counterfeiting.Monero or Bitcoin? No clue what happens with Monero. CBDC are coming, that doesn't mean that they ban bitcoin. At worst they would keep every transaction as a taxable event like it is now, so wouldnt replace the currency. It has already been deemed property and is being treated like a commodity. It is too entrenched in society now with many influential people involved. They want to keep the tax revenue generated from that in country, people would leave. It is too easily mobile. Not worried about that all honestly. I see that others have proposed my scenario(which I didn't think I was the first to think of)...The retort was "it would take all the governments of the world to be in lockstep". Which I realize wouldn't happen for a long time. As long as there's a population of people who can exchange private coins for goods and services, there will be an intrinsic value attached to the private coin.CBDC are coming, that doesn't mean that they ban bitcoin. I don't think it is likely, other countries are clearly embracing it and are trying to attract citizens and capital. You'll have to determine for yourself what level of risk you think it isI see that others have proposed my scenario(which I didn't think I was the first to think of)...The retort was "it would take all the governments of the world to be in lockstep". Trolls gotta trollYou’re failing to understand. I have no interest in what you do. The way you communicate tells me everything I need to know. That’s why I’m excellent in the business world. I can immediately identify value.
So, you’re proposing a value exchange that provides me with no value. You want me to doxx myself for you, a pigeon. I already know you’re a pigeon so what do I get out of this aside the approval of a pigeon?
Tell me, what would you do if a pigeon asked you to prove something? You must threaten your own piracy, so that the pigeon would believe you.
The whole benefit to me being here is that I get to be anonymous. My identity is extremely valuable. Yours clearly isn’t. More proof for me that you have nothing.
Government banning the internet?
You need a history lesson.
The government funded the research and development of the internet via the military. The Internet is primarily a surveillance tool. The government loves the internet. It gives them eyes on everything. Most people know this. This isn't even a "conspiracy theory" anymore. People just accept it.
Bitcoin will just be co-opted into GovCoin in some kind of "exchange your bitcoins for govcoins" deal. They will punctuate it with "bitcoin is being used to fund toxic masculinity" - kinda like how you guys are trying to plan your own little private crypto exchange on a public forum. Never going to happen. They are all over that.
Managing illegal users will be easy because we will all have un-forgeable internet passports attached to our biometric data. It's gonna be hilarious. If you don't allow yourself to be inserted with a passport, much like the vaccine, then no work/internet for you.
I have been calling it FedCoin, but GovCoin is a good name, too.Bitcoin will just be co-opted into GovCoin in some kind of "exchange your bitcoins for govcoins" deal.
Do you plan to or live in Ethiopa? Some countries will push back I'm sure, some will embrace
Funny you two found each other lol Twin flamesI have been calling it FedCoin, but GovCoin is a good name, too.
I talked to a web site owner this week who refuses payment in anything other than bitcoin, because he says it is financial freedom and his vision of the future. Oh what freedom that is, to have no other choice. Welcome to the future.
I'm just saying there's already some examples of central banks cracking down on it. From what I see, central banks usually do things in lockstep... Of course more draconian societies will be the first to do it, but I bet there'll be a crackdown on private coins in western societies eventually... Though as long as one country such as Switzerland doesn't, then there will always be value attached to private coins. Though the only problem is cashing them out. Can't buy food, pay rent, buy clothes, gas, etc, with them, what good will they be? Unless one plans on paying for those things on the black market, which, I don't know..... Buying food on the black market doesn't sound too appealing...Do you plan to or live in Ethiopa? Some countries will push back I'm sure, some will embrace
