I have been placed in a department that is all female except for me.

I have no sexual interest in any of them. This post is about women in the workplace in general.

When my coworkers realized I’m not some sweet pushover they can boss around, they seemed confused.

It’s like some of them view my non-compliance to their unauthorized demands as a form of harassment.

Can anyone recommend any books or sites that address the issue of dealing with women in the workplace?

Or perhaps someone has a similar experience they can share and how they overcame this obstacle…

I find the female hive-mind to be particularly tiresome, especially at work.

Thankfully this job is only part-time and temporary, but dealing with teams of women in the workplace is definitely a skill I should improve upon.

A lot of dealing with women depending upon the type of workplace. The absolute worst type of working environment for interacting with women is a white collar, office work type environment. These type of jobs are career type jobs so you'll need the job longer term.

I would prefer to deal with women in the workplace in a retail store/restaurant environment, some less conventional working environment, or a blue collar/trades type environment. Retail stores/restaurants tend to have shorter tenures/high turnover, so it's possible to seduce attractive female co-workers and date within the workplace with limited negative repercussions as compared to white collar work. Also, many retail store workers/restaurant workers are younger and better looking women than office working women. In considering non-white collar office work as a whole, it is also less likely that you'll encounter a feminist, man-hating HR Commissar in the company.

Some less conventional working environments like gyms, professional athletics, modeling, have attractive women with high sex drives. This is good.

Few women go into blue collar work/trade occupations. The ones that do are going to be less prissy and less offended by typical guy stuff.

If this is white collar work, which it sounds like, consider yourself fortunate to not be working with attractive women. If you must have attractive female co-workers, it is better for it to be in some non-white collar, office setting because you are able to seduce in non-white collar environments. Seduction in white collar isn't recommended at all.

White collar workplaces do not have a strong sexual vibe to them. In fact, they are very non-sexual environments. #MeToo made this worse in the 2nd half of the 2010s, but even the effect of #MeToo is overstated. I graduated college in the mid-2000s, a full decade before #MeToo. When I entered a white collar workspace as a new college graduate in the mid-2000s, men were already being advised not to dip their pen in the company ink.

If you look at the chart below about how heterosexual couples meet, you'll notice fewer romantic relationships have been forming in the workplace since the mid-1990s. That's because white collar work has gotten very unfriendly toward romance and sexuality since around the early to mid 1990s. Also, in white collar work, a slipup at work means you're out of a job and have to interview for jobs. Interviewing for jobs in white collar is a pain and often takes time. It can take 3-9 months to get a new job in white collar after a termination of any kind.

I find the female hive-mind to be particularly tiresome, especially at work.
Yes, that's normal to feel that way.

Recommendation:
don't

It's lazy.

If you are 18 working in fast food as a kid whatever. To wreck career and entertain the idea of Karen in HR as well as career suicide it's the height of stupidity.

In a white collar workplace with women, you need to have at least one female ally.

Find one that you get along good with. Be friendly and joke sometimes (appropriately) and basically “friendzone” each other. Help each other out so she values you as part of the team.

She becomes your “work sister” of sorts.

It will offer some limited protection from the “hive mind” where, if one hates you, they all hate you. This is because everybody will know she is your friend, and a chick who is pissed off at you won’t be able to gossip about you when your friend is around.

One of my closest 2 coworkers is a female and she can be a real PITA. She's constantly explaining how she feels about others and their actions, and her personal views on things, emphasising that she sees those things as a woman; even bringing up when it's her "day of the month" so that she justifies eating junk food and being (even more) emotional than usually. Real fvcking drag, and no one can do anything about it, we have to sit there and listen to that crap. Luckily, there's some hotties around as well so that makes it easier.

you guys are aware you can also complain to HR for harassament right? and chances are you are not the first guy who goes there and then quit, with explain why you are there now, I would also start to look for a new place soon, if the place is toxic there is nothing really you can do you will only delay the annoyance, sticking to the complete that is not part of my job description will also works, but then you need to relentless sometimes and help out.

I had a time, and she was kinda my superior, the very first day I was send there, she already started to make me do work it was not my description, and I told her that, you could see in her face the whole "is he refusing me?" she possible harped like hell to others and even tried to replace me, didn't stay long and was send to another place later who was better.

thing is you need to learn on how to pick fights, and fight even harder, even if that means just to create some annoyance on then, but like I said look for a better place, places like this never really improve and eventually they close shop

When it comes to doing bullshhit work, they'll never volunteer to do it, and due to being female, they won't be asked to. They'll know the work needs to be done, so they'll then pull this type of shjt:
some fat landwhale who is in the same position as me asked me if i could clean the floor while i was busy and she couldve easily done it. i said im doing soemthing right now, then she proceeded to ask someone else to ask me, then told the boss I was being rude and ignoring her.

Here's my recommendation:

DON'T

That said, you can certainly hang out with a chick as friends and try to plate her friends (i.e. that aren't co-workers).
