I have an attorney friend in Houston who's 39 years old. Bachelor. Makes a good 6 figures.

Very nice apartment, and he sleeps with a mattress and boxspring that are on the floor. He has a couch and a TV in his living room, and his fridge is always empty, since he eats out every night.

That's it. Successful 6-figure attorney, and that's how he lives.

Nothing wrong with that. Maybe he's a simple guy. Has a comfy bed, a couch to sit in and maybe a nice car and clothes. That's all he needs. Dr. Phil mentioned that on his show once on free loaders. Said some people are happy with the basics.

I mean if your friend is making 200k a year and living with min expenses he has nice bank accounts. When other lawyers are working until they're 70 because they blow the money every check they get he will be retired at 55.

I find it hard to believe you went out with an hot 9 who drove 55 miles to see you. You need to up your game and not tell females that you are a case protector salesman living with his mom. Most females expect more from a 37 year old dude.

College Athlete at one time too in track and stuff. Still in good shape and had a job as a professor. Looked it up and she was right, she got divorced after a year.

He does go on some nice overseas trips once or twice a year.

He also drinks and parties a lot.

I agree. She complained about him a lot. When women complain about ex husbands, etc. it's a big alarm bell. More like she was high maintenance and the hotness of her couldn't override her terrible, nagging personality and he kicked her to the curb.

Of course - look pretty and not be too insufferable personality wise. That’s basically all we care about it at the end of the day. If you’re expecting more than that you’ll end up disappointed.

I used to work with one of these. Super cute and highly attractive and constantly had men approach her. It didn’t take long for me to know the reason why she was single.

I’ve never had to go to a different continent just to pick up women - so I wouldn’t know. But he’s hopeless enough here that may be what he has to resort to. Hopefully the language barrier works it’s magic.

There are plenty of men who are bad with women and seem relatively normal. Sometimes reading internet forums shows that men are so much worse with women than I can imagine.

Unless you live in some mansion and got gobs of money I see no reason to spends thousands and thousands on furniture. Run of the mill couch and such from Rooms to Go works just fine.

Here in FL you can tell the wealthy yankees from New England how them old people waste money on cars and stuff, and the ones from the Midwest and the South who drive regular cars, non fancy clothes, yet got a Million dollars saved up. They don't feel the need to buy flashy stuff.

Now granted having flashy stuff as a guy certainly won't hurt with dating, but that's because it's attracting women for your money.
