It's a recipe for toxic resentment when the self sacrifice isn't reciprocated, he is underestimating himself. He is not underestimating himself, but he is projecting that on everyone else.
@LucianoM , any man can fuuck a girl, any man can cvm in her guts and make a kid. Any man can be around while the kid grows. Humans are extremely resilient, resourceful, and adaptive. The kid will grow even if you aren't there, as long as he has the most basic necessities fulfilled, which can be provided easily in most countries. Obviously if you're there to inspire him, he'll have a richer childhood, but the fact remains that this is just cream on top, and not exactly necessary.
A man is a force of nature, to impose his will on the world. You are meant to do great things; move mountains, lead nations, progress a field of science or art that you're passionate about, disrupt the status quo. This passion is meant to be your first and true love, always, it's your foundation. It will teach you, and will always be there when you're ready to tackle it. Your chosen passion is a dragon that you go out and relentlessly slay, grinding yourself down doing what you truly love. This process instills the epitome of masculine energy within you, to the point that it starts to ooze out into other faucets of your life.
A woman is your joy, your break from slaying dragons. You spend time with her to bask in the fruits of your labors. Building a family is it's own quirky fun challenge, but it should always feel dwarfed by the challenges from your passions. I don't mean you should neglect your family, I mean that when you go out to slay dragons again, you're pushing yourself to your limits relentlessly. As a result of this independent drive, any family drama will seem like child's play by comparison, and you'll easily be the solid, easy-going rock that a healthy woman enjoys, and that a child is inspired by.
This will also play into finding a compatible woman. If she isn't a joy, if she doesn't understand and respect your relentless drive for your own passions, if she doesn't see that it's the ultimate source of your strength, then she's simply not compatible. A compatible woman will not only see that drive, but provide what she can to help you on your quest. She will help make things effortless, just as you make them for her.
To say you only live for your woman and family may be a fun dramatic plot for a movie, but you're destined for much, much more. Come into your own, and you'll see that a family is something that will come naturally and effortlessly. What you live and grind for is the source of energy that allows you to always come from a place of abundance with women.
If you're going to say that women are your true passion, then I would expect that you at least have an esteemed degree in psychology, publishing ground breaking papers on the subject of family relations, or writing books on the topic, or giving lectures, or otherwise providing a service that challenges you to become the master of your craft. Otherwise what are you doing with yourself?
