I realize this more and more....I consider myself attractive, but not strikingly handsome. I am above average in height (6'0"), fit (but not jacked) and have a full head of hair. However, my facial aesthetics lean more towards the average. I give myself a 7 to 7.5.

I noticed most of the women I seem to develop crushes on are in the same boat looks wise. Attractive, but not gorgeous women.

Sure, an 8+ is nice to look at, but subconsciously you won't feel comfortable going out with her because of the looks imbalance.

Conversely, if you are dating a woman a notch or two below your own looks, you won't be happy either since you know you can do better.

I personally feel that there is a lot of truth to this, where people are relatively intuitive in regards to where they stand and have an idea in regard to what their league is. Sure, there are exceptions to this with people who are relatively clueless, I see this far more often in women compared to men. For instance, something that I've seen quite a bit is fat/overweight women having a requirement that men be in shape lol.

A few years back I was having really bad luck with the dating scene in my area and was starting to get really bothered by it. I was originally only going for women that I found attractive but then decided to "lower my standards" and I tried going for women I had no attraction to. I've said this a million times, but I'm 6'4" and very fit and would have been in my late twenties. Anyway, I was approaching average women and even some chubby ones and I actually found that the experiences were even worse than before lol. They either just stared at me or were flat out rude. One particular instance was at a bar around 9pm when I was meeting someone there, I knew. Anyway, there were these 2 women, one was average and the other was chubby, that I tried talking to and they stuck their noses in the air at me and made some rude comment. Everyone there looked over and watched what was unfolding, there were like 10 other people there and they were baffled by it haha.

I agree that these are common mindsets but I think they're both things that all men need to work on. It's not good to think the grass is always greener if she's not super hot nor is it good to get paranoid/insecure if a girl is hot. Both of those will sabotage your relationships.

What woman do you consider "too hot" for you? This is very foreign concept to me. Because here is my mindset - I have a lot of value, a lot more than the woman does. She may look great, but that is fleeting. It is no accomplishment to simply be born with the right genes. I am the one who is the game changer between the two of us. I don't ever consider a woman "out of my league" because of how she looks. I think this is defeatist way of approaching dating/women.

@Velasco is right on this. Money helps from the standpoint of making yourself look good. That essentially is an investment in yourself. The money on its own though is not very important for banging a chick. Game and confidence are way more important there.

Advice from the old lady:

Max yourself out for yourself and your own life. Approach the women you find attractive. If she reciprocates then great. If not? Next set. But don’t get weird with rules about looks and all that. Looks are subjective anyway. What two men prefer will differ, although of course there are women who are considered beautiful in a universal (or approaching universal) sense.

But make the most of yourself irrespective of women.

As a woman I only entertain men who show interest in me. I’m considered pretty attractive but I’m not everyone’s cup of tea (and few men who find me attractive appeal to me)…so the subset is reduced to men who show interest in me AND who appeal to me. But even in that subset I never lack for options.

Im very efficient in this. As a man you must also become efficient. Your time is your most valuable thing. Do not waste it on low interest women or on worries about tiers etc. Just focus on yourself and what/who is to your taste.

We all are drawn to somewhat different things in a potential partner. Learn to screen. Looks is but one measure of a person.

Once you realize how disgusting women's periods are and the fact that most do dirtier **** than any guys do and most age so so....many of them are total slobs...you tend not to define a woman just by her looks. A 9 to me is just a future 5 in my mind as far as looks go. Besides getting you initially hard, looks really don't mean much.

Don't ever define a girl as special just based on her looks. That's pure simp mode. If there are leagues then you should view them as all below you if you are successful.
