It seems to be very common for women to get involved with guys who are 10+ years their senior. In my family alone I have three cousins and my sister who are all in their 30s or 40s, in LTR or married to guys who are 10-15 years older than them.
I've had WAY more luck with younger women (mid 20s) now that I'm over 40 than I ever had before. Part of this is due to me looking younger than I am, but I also still act young. I'm unmarried and I don't have kids. At work this means that I don't hang out with the coworkers who are playing the family game and instead hang out with the younger crowd who actually have the time to go out and have a drink after work. It also means I get invited to their parties and get to meet their friends, so I'm naturally surrounded by younger women most of the time. I've pulled my coworker's friends at those parties just by giving them a look of interest.
As a general rule, I don't enjoy the company of women younger than 23 once they start talking.
