and I hope more die, less people to annoy me, you could join then too you know

I would think theoretically, true christians all believe in life after death and wouldn't be afraid of dying. Yet I find that majority of religious people to not be like that. So is that implying that they are of weak faith or doubt? I mean if you truly believe in afterlife and that you will go to heaven which is a better place to live, wouldn't one accept death and not fear it? Also wouldn't they place their lives in God's hand on whether he decides if it's your time or not? This Covid has really brought out that aspect in a lot of "christians" IMO.
But Jesus said that many would come to Him and say "Lord, Lord', and He will say 'depart from Me, I never knew you, you workers of iniquity', Matt 7:23. Or Rev 3:16 "So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot or cold, I will spew thee out of My mouth'. Allot of people might be religious but don't know Jesus. Not all religious are true born-again Christians. How many people do you know are excited and passionate about Jesus and sharing Jesus to everyone they know? I personally don't know anyone like that, except for maybe my mother. Most religious people are probably lukewarm Christians that have one or two unconfessed sins they are toying with (most Christians probably look at porn especially if they are men, or gossip if they are women), or are just not excited enough to share their faith with others.

There are also plenty of youtube videos of Christians, who thought they were saved, end up in hell, and people they didn't know would end up in hell. At the end of the day, you don't know people's hearts and if they are really right with God or have maintained the integrity of their faith. Just because someone say they are a Christian doesn't mean they really know the Jesus of the Bible.

The modern church has allot of 'cheap/easy' grace where people don't have to really repent or deal with their sins and just coast along a spiritual la la land. It is not the same thing that was in a previous time ago, when being a Christian meant a surrendered holy life of purity. Now it's a cool thing. Just allot of mixed messages going around.

Haven't you heard? The Democrats made it go away after Biden won, just like Trump warned us would happen. I mean, just look at the curve man! It went from hockey stick to flat-line in a single day!

Well, I suppose that's true if you turn the paper sideways...

Well be glad you canucks have free healthcare(one less thing to worry about when losing a job) and also the better stimulus package of $2k CAD per month over 4 month time frame rather than a $1200USD one time payout.
Trust me, you get what you pay for. Long wait times followed by long wait times. People die in emergency rooms because of the long wait times. In our province, we had ERs shut down due to too many politicians stuffing their pockets full of money. Guess what happened with those long wait times? They got longer. If I can avoid going to an ER, I will stay home so I'm not sitting in the waiting room for 10 hours.

Im an actual health care administrator and I know for a fact its not taking over any hospital in a state wide radius (pennsylvania). It's ALL MADE UP.
I'm in Canada, home of the free health care.

The province now has 93 intensive care unit beds. As of Friday morning, 85 of the beds were filled, with 34 occupied by COVID-19 patients.

“26 of the 63 patients on ventilators this morning have COVID-19,” she said.
Article here

The staff is being run ragged and the ICU beds are filling up. I honestly don't believe that this is all made up. I believe there's a lot of exaggeration and some bull5hit going around with regards to cures, mask effectiveness, etc, but I do believe that hospitals are suffering.

I dunno, do either of them have "Nanny" in their work history? I kinda doubt it...
They show it in their actions. Illinois has one of the worst credit ratings out of all the states, junk status and Lory wants to borrow more money from anyone that's willing to lend it to her because she shut down everything yet didn't foresee no tax revenue coming in for the city. So rather than cutting services, laying off people due to her decisions, and reopening or relaxing restrictions to fix it, she just wants to borrow more money and raise everyone's property taxes, parking taxes, and any other tax you can imagine to make up for the deficit.

Illinois is a donor state. Illinois gives far more to the Federal government than it receives. Tell the welfare states to reimburse Illinois for its contributions.

I agree with you but there are pro's and con's like everything. Some would say taking a chance and maybe having to wait is better than not having any medical care at all. Personally I think too many people are hypochondriacs in modern society. Back then people only went to the doctor when they were really sick. Now they go for every little thing which clogs up the system but yet makes pharma, doctors, politicians, etc. more rich. It's also sad that big pharma has to advertise their drugs by running commercials to the public. This is bass ackwards as it has the people telling the doctors on what they think they need and not the other way around.

Illinois is a police state. Cops retire on full pay and free healthcare for their household after 20 years, prison guards after 30. The mf'ers put it in the state constitution that it is unconstitutional for that sweet deal to be cut. We're paying 40 y/o rednecks 100k a year to do nothing for the rest of their lives. It is insane how the police unions are raping our state.

Both Police and Teachers. I know both personally and the police guys that started young all retire by 55 with full pension. Teachers that started a long time ago are making more on their pensions now then when they actually worked(due to the cost of living pension increases). It's no wonder why Illinois is in the red all the time and won't be able to dig out of it.

Here's an interesting link that allows you to view salaries of all publically paid employees if you don't already know about it: https://www.openthebooks.com/

Illinois is a donor state. Illinois residents pay for people in Iowa and Indiana to have better lives.

Don’t hate on public sector employees for getting benefits and salaries through their union that every hard working American should have. It’s not their fault the rest of us settle for bad wages and health care.

I agree with what you're saying but we have also been paying into police and teacher union for years.

As for hate, did you not read that I know police and teachers personally aka they are my friends?

Right. Big bad unions. They make life so bad for all of us.
Please remind me of how all of the states with a big union presence do this.

Then remind me of how the states with no union presence don't.
