bull****

I've lost 6 lbs last 8 weeks...if I go to a high quality buffet tomorrow and let myself eat with no self control, I'll demolish at least 6000 calories in 1 sitting

I don't ever feel full or satisfied until I've eaten so much to where I feel physically ill
Well mines does. We proved In the fapping thread that there are a couple normal responses to fapping.

My body just doesn't need tons of food. I have plenty of muscle, plenty of power and tons of energy. We are all different.

I'm a hardcore compulsive eater/emotional eater...which I think the vast majority of overweight women are too

Put me under massive stress and I'll compete in a world eating contest. I can eat so much when I'm stressed that it would just astonish you

It is laziness, IMO, because it is not so much about how much you eat, but what it is you're actually eating.

If you really pay attention to nutrition, you can eat tons of whole foods to the point of being completely stuffed constantly, while still getting into the best shape of your life. But that takes actual work and effort. It requires knowledge, it requires planning, buying, preparing and keeping track of what you eat, etc.

Most people don't even want to cook at all, even if it's processed junk. It's seen as a chore that lengthens and already long day. They want it right out of the bag, the box, the microwave.... precooked, pre-seasoned, processed all to hell, packed with preservatives, easy, convenient, fast....

It's laziness.

I would never tell a woman she is fat because she "suffers from an emotional addiction".

Fvck that. Get off your ass, plan and pay attention to your diet and get on a damn treadmill, girl.
Wholeheartedly agree but want to add that, once you start eating the junk your body gets addicted to the fat, sugar, salt, etc and craves it.

We had mini Bundt cakes at a meeting at 10am. By 11:30 am I wanted a salad for lunch but what I really wanted was the fatty dressing. It's amazing what the impact of one, small, poor choice can have on your body and day. I imagine that most people don't realize this and, thus, decide to give in to their 'cravings' with the justification of 'well, I'm craving it so that is what my body needs'

It's better to just skip the junk all together

I can work out 8 hours a day, eat very healthy and lose zero weight

I'm a compulsive eater, I don't feel happy or satisfied until I've eaten so much to where I almost feel like throwing up. I promise you, I can eat 8000 calories a day of steak and meat and fruit and avocado. If you're talking junk food, I can eat 12,000 calories a day of that

Most fat women are compulsive eaters too. The only way they'll really lose weight is to learn to be okay being hungry (or their idea of hungry) which will feel very uncomfortable. The same way you take a crack addict off crack...they will feel extremely uncomfortable. Trust my opinion on this, I was 250 lbs in high school at 35% body fat
Dave, you've had weight problems your whole life. You have an eating disorder/situation that needs to be dealt with. You can discuss this with that same counselor everyone keeps telling you to visit.

IF it's true that you can't lose weight then you first need to count calories. If you are taking in a normal amount of calories working out and not losing weight then you need to go to the doctor and get your thyroid checked.

While you're at the doctor get a referral to a therapist

You want to change your weight? Stop snacking. Overweight people have 3 meals AND snack, some of them snack all day long.

Stop snacking and within 3 weeks the weight will start to come off. Problem is, you are going to have to deal with being uncomfortable with no longer filling your moments with food

Bro I'm lean and muscular

I've learned to be ok being extremely uncomfortable. 95% of women don't have the willpower and self control and the willingness to torture themselves that I do, which is why they're not in shape

My point is that I basically have to torture myself to get in shape. For me, I feel very comfortable eating an ungodly amount of food. I feel horrendous eating 2K calories a day

Interesting thread.

I watched an interview where a UK pop star - Gary Barlow the lead singer and song writer of the band Take That - explained how he constantly struggled with his weight and how he can balloon within a few days if he is not constantly vigilant regarding his eating. He said that he has, after many, many years of frustration, come to understand that your body hardly needs any food at all if you want to stay slim. Think 2000 calories. Think small breakfast. Think ONE sandwich and some fruit for lunch. Think chicken/fish and veg for dinner. And that's it. Depressing but it's the truth. Think that ONE snickers bar that you could eat without a thought about it, is 350 calories. And that 350 calories takes half an hour of running to burn back off.

WE DO NOT NEED SO MANY CALORIES! <= That's the bottom line.

In times past, even recent times, there was never access to such high calorie food. You'd be doing physical work all day and eating meat, potatoes, fish and vegetables. There'd not be expensive junk food to consume.

It is cause and effect. People are overweight and gain fat because they eat too much, and I can occasionally be one of them. There is no excuse.

Alot of folks brainwashed to be fat told that 3000-3500 calories a day is normal and that Greg Louganis the Olympic swimmer eats 10,000 calories per day.

Most women need only 1500 calories and men around 2000 calories a day.

It's not even depressing because after a few months of lower calories most people's hunger levels will adjust.

...also think that from an evolutionary/historical perspective we could survive for weeks with a meal every couple of days or so. We do not need that much food to survive. If we did we would have all been dead from famine in times past when food was scarce. We are an amazing machine that can do awesome things with small amounts of input - i.e. food, water and shelter.

You do not need that snicker bar, chips, candy, cake. You really don't.

2000-2500 calories to me is torture. If I was to eat until I was truly satisfied, I would be easily in the 5-7,000 range. I absolutely love food

I honestly can't figure out exactly what it is that controls appetite
I can empathize with you somewhat here. I've always liked to eat a lot myself. But when I was younger, I could not put weight on, I was too skinny, no matter how much I ate. It wasn't until my late mid 30s that I started to have to watch what I ate, or I would put on too many pounds. To make matters work, the more I exercise, the hungrier I get lol.

I've found that certain types of diets at least help reduce your appetite and lets you feel at least reasonably satisfied earlier. Mostly staying away from things like sugar, pasta, white flours, etc. - things with a high glycemic index that triggers your appetite.

A big difference when I was growing up was they didn't used to have all those growth hormones in the food that help grow the crops and animals. Now days you have to intentionally choose what you buy at the grocery store, or your body is going to be loaded with this stuff. That's why we didn't have the obesity epidemic when I was growing up, and why I was so skinny (youth aside). If I grew up today, I probably would have been chubby.

Again you try to deflect the conversation, ignoring responses to what you initially said, in an effort to prove your point.

MY point, which you first admitted to and are now trying to deflect away from, it's that you have a problem with using food correctly and should work thru that topic, and your low self image and your low self esteem, with a thesis therapist.

Anorexics and bulemics look great too. People who have exercise OCD look great too. They still have a problem.

Just for reference 7000cal would be like eating 13 Big Macs. Who can eat that in one day let alone one sitting?

I'm bigger than you alots of power some days have 2 hrs salsa, 1 hrs kickboxing and 1 hrs weights. I require no more than 3000 calories on those days or else I'll start bloating.

So it's all different.

When I do my white collar job + 1.5hrs of workout it's about 2400 calories on me.

So it depends upon the person.
For these super high calories people I figured it's more than a high metabolism. It has to be that their digestive system is less effective at pulling nutrients from the food. So they need more food to get the same as me.

A calorie is a unit of energy. To "burn" a calorie, you have to exert the same amount of energy. Energy in, energy out. That's physics, Dave.

Do you know how much energy is in 3,000 calories? Enough for an average person in very good shape to run a 26 mile marathon in about 4 hours, or a professional athlete who can run a world class-time, 26 mile marathon....two times in a row.

This leaves us with 4 options:

A. You are somehow defying the laws of physics.
B. You are running 26 mile marathons every day just to maintain your weight, and then torturing yourself on top of that to avoid gaining weight.
C. You have a SERIOUS imbalance in your body that requires SERIOUS medical attention that probably makes you an anomaly in the world of biology,
D. You're pulling numbers out of your ass again and making sh*t up because you don't want to be wrong.

Now, I know you're not defying the laws of physics, so lets rule that one out, and I'm pretty sure you're not running a 26 mile marathon every day just to maintain bodyweight. If this is a medical condition, you seem to have no clue to the root cause of it, have done nothing to find out and risk death by being idol on this for so long, which also means you're not THAT educated on your situation.

That leaves us with D.

Whether it's pulling numbers out of thin air on your demographic, making up statistics on the general population or telling us you have this amazing calorie-burning super power, your grasp on reality is seriously lacking.

I think this is the common link at the core of all of your problems, Dave. If you cannot get a solid grasp on the reality of a situation, you cannot tackle any given problem in a realistic and effective manner. Does being an awesome, masculine, successful, in shape, social prodigy of a man to be the perfect catch who also cannot land a date with ANY woman he is truly attracted to sound like reality to you?

You're living your life in la-la-land. Plain and simple.
my BMR - amount of calories I would burn if I just laid down in bed all day and did nothing is around 2000

I burn another 1000 through exercise and also the digestion of food. Why is that weird to you? You know i'm on my feet all day at work right? 3000 might be late. I think I'm actually around 3300

you guys have no idea what it's like to be an emotional compulsive eater

I once had a 32 LB steak and 4 burgers in 1 sitting.

I've eaten a 20 inch family size pizza before in 1 sitting. We're talking about a pizza that feeds 7 people. I don't ever feel full or feel satisfied until I've eaten so much to where my stomach feels physically ill (which takes an ungodly amount of food). You ever meet an alcoholic who can have 25 beers and still be ok? Apply the same concept to food with me.

I get it. Your hunger and stuff is out of wack. I'd throw up before that point. You must feel nine months pregnant after eating that much.

I get it too that an alcoholic can be just getting warmed up after crushing a six pack. And can smash another or another until they black out.

Dave, I am not saying there are no legit reasons for people to suffer from chronic weight issues, but MOST WOMEN are not suffering from such things. Most are lazy. All the same for MOST men too.

You're wrong when you attribute these legitimate things to women in general.
Most of the fat women I know eat more than a line backer and are not active.

that's just how I am, it's my natural immense love of food

but it's ok, I'm still in pretty good shape because I stop myself from over eating....but if you ever wonder how people can get to 700 lbs...it's me without exercise and without self control
