Looks don't matter for women when looking for LTR

I have seen it too many times ; guys that are overweight, sloppy looking, dorky looking or just not handsome in the face with girlfriends, fiancé's, wives who are noticeably better looking.

I am no GQ model, but I give myself 7 to a 7.5....this one girl recently used me as a rebound. Both her ex and her current boyfriend are not what you call attractive looking guys and look.....I am the one who ends up the loser in the situation.

Women DON'T think like men when it comes to attraction. Men want, youthful skin, a tight ass, perky tits and a pretty face. It's natural to think women want boyfriends and husbands that looks like Cristiano Ronaldo or Matthew McConaughey, WRONG!

NEVER think a girl is out of your league because you don't think you are handsome enough. Just look around you.

I would half agree with this. I don't think women necessarily WANT a dumpy looking beta male. Women are more attracted to a man's personality overall, but they also like hot guys just like men like hot women, this is a fact. Physical attraction does count.

But they may end up with a sloppy, un-kept man because:

1- They feel HB8+ "men" are more likely to cheat--which they are. I hear this from women a lot.
2- Their biological clock is ticking and they commit to the first male that shows enough interest and does enough of the right things (i.e. quintessential beta male) so they "settle down." The timing for the beta male was right.
3- Low self esteem, "This is all I deserve, can get, etc. etc."). Psycho, Cluster B, or just plain crazy chick talk.
4- Beta males will put up with bad behavior because they have many fewer options when it comes to dating. The woman chooses control over DJ/alpha.
5- The dumpy, ugly guy might be a 1%'er or an actual DJ as in the movie The Tao of Steve.

Personally, I'd rather be the hot male that women are "unsure" about than the safe-bet beta any day.

Women care about VALUE.

The ugly guy with hot woman combination makes sense. A woman approaching the wall doesn't want a guy who can easily level up in a year or two. When they are both old farts years down the road, their value will even out since unlike her man, her VALUE is in steady descent until death. She wants that security of a loyal guy who will be there until SHE decides to leave (not if). A woman approaching the wall has already dated HOT guys and she knows their MO. No security in dating a hot guy and therefore, no VALUE at a certain point if security is the objective.

The ugly guy never has the upper hand though. He gets to impress people with his HOT partner, but he is basically her servant.. which is why she is with him lol.

The hot guy dating the FAT girl is the same situation. The dude is probably fed up with female horse sh*t and just wants something stable. He knows a FAT girl isn't going to cheat or sh*t test because if she f*cks the relationship up, she will probably never attract another HOT guy.

Similar situation with the rich guy and broke girl or vica versa. Opposites attract.

Applying the DJ principles to relationships is more likely to get a-lot of women leaving you because you have solid boundaries and a certain level of self respect that you won't compromise for anyone. It's been said millions of times on SS but with the amount of attention that women receive and the # of orbiters they have it's more likely she'll leave or even cheat on a high value man them be faithful and loyal to him. That's just what I've notice. Things you need to take into consideration when looking for an LTR is a. her parents. What's her Dad like. Does he run the show, does HER mother love and respect him and b. you really need to look at her character and what she values. Is she a crappy person? Does she believe in and value monogamy and loyalty? Looks is one aspect of the equation but there is a whole slew of other factors that play into relationships and why people, especially women, choose to date who they do.

A-lot of those dumpy or average looking guys are easily controllable. Women will date, f*ck and even marry guys whom they don't even like. Don't put much weight into couples you see walking around and assume looks don't mean anything or that they do. Too many other factors play into it.

A woman's market value is in consistent decline after 30 until death. A man's market value is more unpredictable because status, MONEY and worldly success factor into it.

If a HOT woman commits to an ugly dude with a good career, eventually his market value will catch up to hers as she gets older.

That's why I believe women go for lesser men when seeking commitment. They are really going for men who will match their FUTURE market value lol. A guy with higher market value than her is more likely to abandon her or cheat on her. But most women don't seem to start thinking this way until their late 20's or early 30's. Younger women chase the HOT or exciting guy because they are still kind of naive about how the world works.

Exactly! This is my main issue with hypergamy theory. It is to rigid. In the real world woman don't always go for the higher value option. They "fu*k" the higher value guy but they LTR the lower value guy many times. This mainly applies to women that have low self esteems and a need to be the star in a relationship. Never said the rich man was lesser. That depends on the guy.

Some rich men are lesser genetically if they are ugly, short, fat, etc. Woman want to mate with good genetics as much as men do. But its often hard to get good genetics and commitment at the same time. After a certain age a lot of women focus more on commitment because their declining market VALUE makes a man with good genetics unlikely to be loyal.
