There is a better experience of driving with manual transmission - unless, it's an everyday traffic jam to and from work. I personally do not want an auto car at all. I don't even want an electronic throttle body. I prefer manual, posi traction, and old school throttle by wire. More control? Nah. Nothing of that nature. Just better driving experience. Full enjoyement of my car.
My Camaro is an everyday driver. That means there will be morning, afternoon, and evening traffic jams, hills to go up, etc., etc. Where are you guys driving your manual at? Is it a everyday driver?

Stop and go city traffic is the one circumstance that I can see an auto being preferable.

I think it's funny that the slang word for a transmission is 'tranny,' but that is hardly ever used any more, because it now means something different.

Auto transmissions go out, too, and typically cost a lot more than a clutch to fix. Not that it matters much for new cars, but if you have an older car that is prone to breaking, a manual will be easier to deal with in many circumstances. I once drove 5 hours home from Chicago in my Stealth with no clutch at all. It went out just as I got out of city traffic. If you know what you're doing, you can get the car home without a clutch, but there is no equivalent trick for an auto.
Wait how can you make the core move without the clutch? Even I don't know this lol

Let's take off roading. Let's say you are stuck. To get out you need to sway your car back and forward, by putting it in first, accelerating, then sticking it into reverse, accelerating, it sways ever so more, and you can get out. This also work with a regular car stuck in a ditch. With automatic there is no chance for this, even if it's a dual clutch, or semi automatic sequential. Only stick shift will do.

Let's take city driving. You battery died, you forgot headlights. You are in the hurry, no one is around. With manual you could push your car and start it in 2nd gear. No chance for that with an automatic.

Another city driving situation, san francisco hills scenario. You are descending. With manual you could control your speed with gear. No chance for that with an automatic. Same goes for winter situations, without electronic assists you will slide with an automatic.

Now for racing. With manual you can clutch brake, teather, correct, gain traction. You can not do that with torque converted automatic. You will need dual clutch, and in some instances sequential race transmission, which your camaro does not have.

Automatic, be it torque converted or dual clutch, is good for stop and go traffic. Nowadays they also say it is faster, especially dual clutch, because it shifts faster. But then again, there will be situations when it is useless and slower, for example some instances of over taking.

Funny thing is this, Russian tanks, including T14, have manual transmission and automatic loader. While American tanks, have automatic transmission, and manual loading.

Automatic transmission is a purely American cultural phenomenon. Try to get a car with manual. Germans you might think have auto as well, but it's different, it's dual clutch robotized manual. For performance driving it all comes down to control, which is directly proportional to enjoyment. With one computer controls how your car drives, with the other you control.

When the car is in first, you can turn the key and it will lurch forward until the engine starts. The transmission has shift synchronizers that are set to a specific rpm range. When your RPMs get high, you can shift up to the next gear without a clutch, provided you hit it just right.

Who in the world gets STUCK like that, on any type of recurring basis, to where considering a completely different transmission becomes a focal point?

I enjoy listening to the radio, changing the radio, texting, talking on the phone, and doing a variety of other things while I drive my car. I would not enjoy a manual transmission at all. Way too much work to just basically "move" the car. I also think that the US is moving away completely from the manual transmissions eventually because nobody is buying that "stuff" anymore. It's why a manual transmission version of a car comes cheaper.

I think we have different forms of car enjoyment. You enjoy shifting every 5 seconds, I don't. I enjoy listening to the radio, changing the radio, texting, talking on the phone, and doing a variety of other things while I drive my car. I would not enjoy a manual transmission at all. Way too much work to just basically "move" the car. I also think that the US is moving away completely from the manual transmissions eventually because nobody is buying that "stuff" anymore. It's why a manual transmission version of a car comes cheaper.
Just go Auto. You'll have a 10 speed anyway with paddle shifters in case you want a quick over take. I'm not sure how fast they are but it's there.

Manual is a good anti-theft as well. I recommend a Viper alarm system by the way. V8 Camaro's are a popular vehicle to steal. Also invest in a led keyfob signal blocking pouch. It's uncommon in the U.S. but car jackers in Europe use a radio device to strengthen the signal of your keyless entry/push to start and literally get in and drive off with your car. But then again you can use that as an excuse to make an insurance claim!

I would just get an Auto. Manual in heavy traffic is annyoing to be honest.

You will not get stuck like that in U.S., unless you go offroading, or there is snow. In other countries, it is a recurring thing.

Sh1t happens. Also weather can render your battery dead. -10C and bellow, even -40 will render your battery useless. The only thing you could do is push your car. It could be a situation where you have to get to work, or where you have to start your car to survive.

Every trucker knows that if you miss a gear from a hill, you might crush. Same goes for regular cars, if you use your brakes too much, they will fade, and could fail. In a mountaneuous region, you have to use gear, otherwise your brakes will catch fire. I live in Kavkaz, I know.

No doubt that automatic is the future. A lot of women and gay men are nowadays want to text, change radio, talk on the phone while driving. I can do all that too with my manual, except it will be tougher for me, especially in traffic, but it is doable.

It's just the fact that none of these things you are listing occurs on any type of recurring basis lol. If you want your Manual fine, I would never buy a Manual. It's way too much work. I feel "one" with my Camaro enough using the Automatic :)

You are missing out the thrill. Let's say you have a doublt clutch transmission and you are cruising along on the highway at 70 mph, you are probably in 5th or 6th gear, maybe even 7th. Now you want to overtake another car ahead of you, which is also going 70 mph. For your transmission to downshift into 3rd gear for overtaking, it would take about 2 seconds. It would take me about 1 second in that car infront of you, to rev match and downshift in a manual.

Let's say it is same scenario but you are in your camarro with torque converted automatic, it will still take you about 2 seconds to downshift from over drive gear into 3rd for overtaking, while I will rev match and downshift my manual in about 1 second.

They are fast only on paper. When shifts are 1 to 2 to 3 to 4, etc. But in real world scenario, I would brake check your ass, make your automatic upshift to over drive while you brake, you will be in high gear, I will still be in 3rd, I floor it and I'm 2 seconds ahead of you.

What RPM are you aiming for, 3? I am trying to picture how this would work... how far and how fast can you get with this method?

Every vehicle is built differently. It's not an ideal way to drive, not something you should do all the time, but it is better than being stuck on the side of the road.
