I feel my stomach turn for this "Brave New World" of human relationships.
The truth is, since we wandered out of caves and evolved past murder and tribal rape, nearly every civilised society has recognised the value of marriage and fidelity.
The main reason being that children from families with loyal and stable relationships are demonstrably better adjusted than children where men come and go. It is nearly always the mother who is the one source of stability in these families, and they tend to produce children who score lower in pretty much every department.
This mainly stems, I believe, from the narcissism epidemic, both male and female, that was referenced on another thread. "If the c0ck/pvssy wants it, why shouldn't I? It gives my self esteem a boost" This is the problem. It's actually quite a simple solution to murder ones enemies. This is why we have morality. Something which is missing with hedonistic narcs. If it feels good, do it.
The downfall of any society is through rubbishing the family unit. Show me any society on earth which acts in this nightmare of human relations which out succeeds one based on loyalty and fidelity. This is what turns the stomach. Loyalty. The lack of this is vile, and is repulsive to many people.
I'm not saying the odd person who has an affair should be burnt. Most people will have them. It's the shift in attitude from this being an error, to just another life choice. It's all gone nuts. Transgender kids, gender fluidity, it's all tied in with this "anything goes, no shame" attitude.
Note I am an Atheist. I do not come at this from a position of religious nutjobbery. However, I am behind the Christos on this one.
People who willingly enter this lifestyle are too full of their own needs and lacking in social rules and moral fibre.
