I don't believe that it is necessary to have a personality disorder in order to enjoy something or to be successful at anything.
I guess "success" is relative. The most successful people I know are not very balanced people. They are very focused and tend to be selfish. The technical minded ones lack social skills and have Asperger traits/OCD. The ones in politics show a lot of cluster B traits.
-Most corporate CEO's are narcissist.
Catherine Zeta Jones - Diagnosed Bipolar
Donald Trump - Likely Narcissist
Michael Phelps - ADHD Diagnosed
Beethoven - Diagnosed Bipolar
Hitler - Likely Borderline
Marilyn Monroe - Likely Borderline
Thomas Jefferson - OCD diagnosed
Anna Nicole Smith - Many psychologists claimed she had Histrionic
Steve Jobs - OCD diagnosed
Albert Einstein - Aspergers
Isaac Newton - Aspergers
Mozart - lol, that dude was an off the charts nut.
Musicians and artists - suicide, co-dependent on alcohol/drugs, depression runs rampant.
I've met some very successful people in my life. People that have tons of respect and well known in their field. When you get to know them as a person, they all had something mentally off about them.
I'm sure ole PoonKing had something. You might not of liked his style, but he had more wisdom about women than anybody I've ever seen on this board in the past 10yrs. You don't achieve that knowledge with out being successful and after more attempts than the average person. There's nothing balanced about that.
