Unfortunately, at my age wear and tear on my joints, along with some repetition injuries, prevent me from hitting it as hard as I could when I was younger.
You need to be cooking homemade, grass-fed, organic, slow-cooked, local (or Texas) beef shank and eating the marrow. I'm eating it now. Burgundy Pasture Beef is my favorite source. They sell sliced and whole shank. I believe we should only eat bone-in meats.

Just the way some people's bodies are. Rock, cena, new jinder dude.... they're all on roids.

6 months and he went from chubby to ripped animal. The size of his muscles and vascularity screams PED's. You just can't get that big that fast without help. Even all the research journals say working out and eating right you still can only out on 4-5 lbs of muscle naturally a year
That's only true if you are at an advanced level of training otherwise it's pure bull****. A noob fresh off the street can put that on in his first month.

Agree. Point was, these guys have put on more muscle I'm sure than most of the posters here. And even with the "help", they still had problems with their body that they had to turn to surgery to fix (not Cena that I'm aware of). Guru would approve, I'm sure :)

I just often get the impression that some guys here view pumping iron as some sort of magic pill. And maybe, for some guys, it is. Depends on exactly what the "pre-DJ" guy was lacking. Working out has many benefits, but adding some muscle isn't going to be a magic pill for a lot of guys.

I've been weightlifting for over 30 years now. I started out as a very scrawny kid, so I'm sure that the added bulk helped to increase my SMV over time (among other things). I never experienced any kind of "overnight" change from the way women treated me though. Things improved over time, as I improved in a number of areas. I'm sure the added muscularity was a factor, but it wasn't overnight, and there was more at play than that.

Unfortunately, at my age wear and tear on my joints, along with some repetition injuries, prevent me from hitting it as hard as I could when I was younger. So if I feel a little bitterness on this topic, that's likely where it from. But I really do believe that while it's a good thing to get into, it's not a magic pill.
For me, lifting helped a lot.

Granted, reading the DJ Bible, pook, immersing myself in the material and getting the knowledge was important too, as was erasing the self doubts and stuff too. But in terms of getting in the door, getting an ASTHETIC physique, that is lean and ripped with good mass, and low bodyfat for chiselled face definition helped a LOT.

Approaches simply aren't needed for me anymore, I get approached more than enough, then i just use the knowledge to not **** it up.

But i think many guys go for the wrong type of physique, big and bulky at 17-18% bodyfat, girls don't like that. Something like this:

Yeah, sorry but anyone who says that isn't gonna make your life with girls a whole lot easier is coping, plain and simple.

For wrestling fans, have you seen Jindar Mahal lately? There have been accusations in the mefia that he has been juicing (which he denies, of course). Dude's gotten majorly ripped.

But he seems to suffer from the same problem The Rock used to have, stubborn fatty areas around the nipples that give him puffy looking nipples. The Rock finally had to have surgery to correct it, maybe Mahal will too, although I doubt he has The Rock's movie star aspirations.

Funny how you can build that much muscle and obviously have a low body fat percentage, but still have little problem areas that mess with all your hard work. Just goes to show that the gym isn't the answer to everything.
It's gynecomastia. Pumping extra hormones into your body tends to knock the equilibrium out of whack, which then causes guys to grow female breast tissue. A lot of pro bodybuilders have the same thing you talk about... AFAIK surgery's the only treatment at the moment.

*TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU "INFERNO"
That type of physique get girls Wet and maximize your chances to get Laid easier. I got exactly that type of physique with less body fat.
I get approached by girls a lot and in the street they almost break they Neck to Look at Me.

Some Girls Tell me sometimes before we get laid, "You the kind of guy who will hurt me (Emotionally), You Look to good you´re Scaring Me"
But Girls aren´t Stupid, When you in Great Shape, OH BOY, I Had Girls trying to manipulate me doing mind tricks on me. Telling me all they dirty Secret - without me asking for anything.
Even Girls wo Have a Boyfriend when we in a Room as soon as her boyfriend do something else or go in another Room, They spread them legs in a mini Skirt showing me the goods.
Happened several times To me In the Clubs that girls took my hand and put it in front of everybody in they Pants, letting me Know how WET they are. CRAZY Stuff.

I Fvcked Tons of Girls (With a Rubber) in the last 5 years and none of them were GF material maybe because, I do not trust Girls and never will.
All i do is Spinning Plates. Still looking and searching for that special Girl.*CRACKUP*
I Got one Girl My Number 1 Plate. I Fvck her since Years, Never Get Bored of Her, That Tight Pvssy makes me always Come Back to SS and read The Dj Bible as a reminder. LOL
I trained Her Now she Looks Great and get Hit by other guys Like Crazy.
I Let her Free and told her from the beginning that we are FWB i don´t stress her that´s why she always come back to me Since Years.
I know that iam a Plate for Her too *Crackup*

Eating clean is good, I'll confess I don't always do it. But anybody who thinks our bodies last forever is deluding themselves, they start to break down after awhile, often in unpredictable ways. That's why you don't see pro basketball or football players who are in their 50s.

This is true but lifting and staying healthy delays the process massivley.

Look at the average non lifter in their 40s then compare to an advanced lifter the same age. Night and day.

I don't know about "massively", but it can certainly delay it. Genetics are also at play. I'm 56 years old, but I've known many people over the years that didn't make it to this age. Several had familial diseases. You do the best you can and hope you make it through. And I haven't even included accidental death. Heavy lifting is good, but I also think there are other ways to stay healthy. Diet is just as big a factor as exercise (as Neil alluded to) IMO.

Fish oil, chondroitin, and glucosamine. Those will work wonders. 1 month and you will feel a big difference. Even at my young age I noticed a difference after taking them, especially the second two (they sometimes come together in one tablet btw).

Wrestlers like that who have tons of experience know their bodies after that long of bulking and cutting. A lot of them do take stuff, but a lot of them also are completely natural too. A friend of mine who was the state champ in wrestling for 2 consecutive years went from around 165 to 135 in about 2 weeks. I know for certain he didn't take anything. This was in high school, when guys were still growing. Granted, the kid was a living legend and all 7 of his brothers were also state champions in wrestling too so it runs in their blood lol. But it is NOT impossible. You can do so much more with your body than you know. Also, it's not 4-5 lbs, it 6 lbs. and that's after people have been lifting for several years. A beginner could put on 20-25 lbs in one year if they really tried to and trained right.

I agree that's good stuff. Works better when you're younger though, and I find it works better on smaller joints like those in your hand, but yeah that's good stuff.

These days, if I lift too heavy/intensely/often, I get some tendon problems in my right elbow, and I'm pretty sure my left rotator cuff is torn. It doesn't bother me for day to day so I'm too cheap to get it repaired. Anyway, it's not a big deal. Compared with the medical problems I could have at this age, I'll take these little mechanical breakdowns every time. I can lift enough to stay toned, I don't need to get any bigger. Still, it can be frustrating when you know what you've been capable of in the past.

I realize now (age 46.75) that as I entered my 40s, I was getting fattier and that it was impacting my sex drive. There were many nights when I had the girl I wanted and she was ready and willing but my drive wasn't there, or I couldn't quite penetrate her, or I couldn't last long.

Now I'm posting threads about how many times it takes a girl to get sore, whether only 4 times means she must have been unfaithful. It's a good problem to have. I honestly don't remember going 4 straight times since my early 30's (2003-2004). It must be working out that is the difference because in the first 2 months of dating this girl I had the above issues. It was my girlfriend who reminded me how much more powerful my body feels to her now. It's important to remember that the sexual polarity of a relationship is based on how hard we rock their world in bed. Our becoming more masculine makes her more feminine, which strengthens the bond.

I think that we store toxins in our fat and that it messes up our hormones. It must not smell very good either.

Note that in 4 months my body fat percentage went from 18.8% to 13.6% (my weight stayed exactly the same). Meaning I went from having 46 pounds of fat on my body to 31 pounds of fat (at 230 lb).

Summary: So each day for 4 months I converted slightly more than 2 ounces of fat to muscle, a total of about 2 gallons of fat converted!

Today I completed 6 months with my physical trainer, 80 one hour sessions, 3 days per week, 6am-7am.

Before:

Weight: 230 lb
Lean Muscle Mass: 185 lb
Body fat: 45 lb
Body fat percentage: 18.8%

After:

Weight: 225 lb (-5)
Lean Muscle Mass: 195 lb (+10)
Body fat: 30 lb (-15)
Body fat percentage: 12.6% (-6.2%)

Summary:

I lost 15 pounds of fat (about 10 ounces per week) and I gained 10 pounds of muscle in 26 weeks.

I'm happy with the results.

I missed about 5 sessions, so it took about 75 hours to lose 15 pounds of fat, or about 5 hours of working out per pound of fat lost.

Looking leaner. I would say another 15 lbs or so of fat to shed.
  • Focus on heavy compound lifts,
  • Expand back for V-taper and broader shoulders (especially given your height);
  • Round out shoulders (Dumbbell raises front and side [aesthetic lifts]);
  • Bulk up chest.

Thanks! I had some atrophy in my right chest area that I resolved finally - this huge indentation (formerly a striation) that led to fatty deposits.

15 pounds is exactly what I should lose. Without steroids, I'm designed to be 6'5" 205 (wide receiver body versus overweight backup quarterback body).

That's a good, natural model weight for your height. Im 6'1 189, 10%bf, but I've been lifting all my life, and on HRT. I have been 220+ lbs, 10% bf, but I don't attract many models at that weight, nor it professional to walk into an executive meeting looking like a professional wrestler/athlete. A lean, aesthetic, symmetrical physique is what most 9s/10s adore.

It's interesting you say that as I didn't understand this when I was younger: There was an interview with a guy who was very high up in the finance world (can't remember his name) but he was saying how it doesn't look good to be bulky in the upper echelons of society, the reason being that it makes you look like you're from the lower classes ie. poor and excelling in physical labour.

I didn't understand that when I was in my early twenties but it's quite obvious now..

My Russian girl texted "Looking better!!! You can do better." I love her.

My last girlfriend hasn't seen me since I was 230.
