You ever just get fvcking mad? Today's the perfect example of this. I'm a fairly easy going guy who is extremely confident. I have a theory that becAuse I express unabashed confidence everyone tries to sh1t test me. People try to push my buttons and I just laugh it off. But sometimes I feel like laughing it off is not the right way to handle it. I usually don't let it affect me but today I just got really fvcking internally mad because 10-15 People I know were pushing on my buttons a little too far.

Maybe laughing it off is like being a pushover? I always thought it was the purest expression of I don't care and I'm above this.

Well I've had it. Call this an egoic post if you must. But someone tell me right now how to handle all these fvcking chodes pushing on my buttons to see how far they can get with me. Bc m'fvckin'sick'of'it

Also I know it is some way that I am acting. This is not them. I am coming across as a guy that welcomes people trying to fvck with me. I just can't figure out why? Is it my confidence? Am I a pushover and allow people to do this sh1t to me?

I know it is something with my OWN BEHAVIOUR that I have to fix. Maybe I have to start setting boundaries with everyone and not just women I am fvcking.

I honestly don't know, and I am at a loss.

Sometimes you have to call them out. With zero phucks given. I'm so confident in myself it's not fair for the other person. It's just much easier on my personal constitution. If i really feel like laughing it off then I laugh it off that's 90% of the time. But if they are trying to get one over on me then their going to have to fight for it and if they win then it's theirs.

Lately, when someone says something and I feel like they are trying to push my buttons I just stare them in their face for an uncomfortably long time..

With a you're an idiot facial expression.

The trick is, not to have buttons, or keep them hidden.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

That's the problem with laughing it off ALL the time. Usually, you should laugh it off, but not always. There are times where you shouldn't and that's when they take it too far. Reason being is that they start to think you won't do anything.

You've already given that impression that you won't do anything, so it's kinda hard to change, but not impossible. When someone starts to take it a little too far, do the same **** back to them. Just make sure they aren't your superior. I remember at work a former manager poked fun at me for being fit by saying 'Ha! Skinny people problems' and I had to bite my tongue because my initial knee-jerk response was 'Well you know what they say, better to be skinny than to be a fatass'. Yes she was overweight to all hell. I held my tongue there only because I could get in trouble for it, but otherwise I'd have said it. Say someone does the same to you, you gotta be able to respond back to them by insulting them too, and then laugh it off like it's no big deal. They take it up a notch? You do too. If it starts to escalate a little too far, then just be sure to get the last word in with a light-hearted laugh and immediately try changing the subject to something completely unrelated so as to avoid conflict.

Can you give an example? Also the fact they are pushing your buttons might suggest that your confidence is a facade and these people can see through it...

You ever see on those nature shows when a pride of Lyons make a kill and the lead Lyon is eating and some other goofey Lyon comes over and tries to punk him off the kill? One of a few things usually happens

#1 the lead Lyon that was eating is done, full, uninterested in the kill anymore and walks off so the goofey Lyon can eat.

#2 the lead Lyon that is eating is hungry as phuck and no one is coming between him and that kill unless they themselves are read to die and or become victor or prey win loose or draw.

Sometimes you have to be the Lyon in scenario #2

At some point in life you have to go for what you know and what you want. That doesn't mean you will get it but you for sure are not going to get it if you don't go after it.

The word no is a beautiful thing say no to people stand your ground and be prepared to be the Lyon from scenario #2 win loose or draw. Verbally mentally and physically if need be.

Thing I've done the last couple of years is become much more observant of people, screening vigorously and unashamedly filtering people out of my life. Knowing what you will and wont accept will only come with experience though; treat everyone like your best friend but do not trust nor rely on anyone until they earn it.

You're a strong guy and you need to maintain that. Be more discerning about the company you keep; associating only with those who are mostly on your level. It's not a case of becoming cold, but learn to know when to say enough is enough.

This is a good topic and you're willingness to take responsibility for the situation and to grow is to be admired. It's far too easy to
blame other people. There's a lot of posters who should have a look at this thread but watch out for lots of delusion and throwing the blame and thus the responsibility at others.

I'm so confident in myself it's not fair for the other person
This poster is so confident and secure in himself that he asks random strangers on the internet to fight him.....
Supreme confidence or insecurity?? No fvcks given or mental instability?

Can you give an example? Also the fact they are pushing your buttons might suggest that your confidence is a facade and these people can see through it...
Bingo....you are definitely on to something here. This is a question of FRAME. Have you noticed the op "liked" every suggestion, except yours? This suggest that his ego won't allow him the possibility that it could be what you suggested...

when a pride of Lyons

Pedantic? We all make spelling errors etc However, it's worth observing this poster's "writing". It's full of spelling errors and lacks
punctuation. He writes as he speaks, like it's a stream of consciousness. What does this style of writing suggest?
Drug use and/or mental illness.

Is this relevant? Yes read on.

This week Reykhel has had two posters asking to fight him physically. The above poster even left Reykhel his first name (Jason) and the
address of his gym. Sound like a really confident secure man? Take into account that both of these posters are over the age of 40.....
Reykeh repeats........@shesabranchswinger and @Sho-No-Luv are both over the age of 40.........

....and they apparently got their emotional buttons pushed so much by Reykhel that they suggested meeting up in person to have a fight.....
Hilarious no? Having your buttons pushed so much by some random stranger on the internet that you suggest meeting for a physical fight is the sign of a really insecure, fragile and highly emotional frame.

Now really they should be sending Reykhel a thank you card for revealing their inner traumas and for the opportunity to heal and shore up that weak frame.

Why is it possible for people to push your buttons is the question that the op needs to ask himself?

What needs healing? What needs accepting in side yourself?

@lizardking82 is another who could benefit from this thread. He had an emotional meltdown with Reykhel because apparently Reykhel touched on a trauma buried inside of him and Reykhel reminded him of his unhealed hurts that he feels towards his father.....
He projected his past traumas from his father onto Reykhel (made that clear) Reykhel tried to help him to heal........and again, not even a thank you card.....

Listen fellas, your buttons are all about you........why expose your hot buttons to anyone.

A lot of getting your buttons pressed comes from:
1. Caring too much about people's opinions of you
2. Problems with self concept
3. Lack of observing ego
4. Lack of emotional control
5. LACK OF ABILITY TO FVCKING BANTER FELLAS...

...Much more on this topic, but Reykhel's got to dash for now..

I dont know you and I dont know the people you associate yourself with however as a general rule I believe that anytime you make someone feel inadeguate or challenged, they will do their best to harm you back either by pissing you off or by trying to harm your self confidence.

Generally the best answer is agree and amplify while mocking their words if you can afford not giving a fvck about them or let them vent while showing indifference or amusement if they are people you have to deal with.

Personally I really dont give a fvck about other people opinion or provocation unless there are benefits that could be threatned from that, in that case open conflict and physical violence are an option.

Ah ha how cute are you cupcake @Reykhel is a 14year old wannabe fraud. Who is so but hurt that he brings it to other threads sounds like I pushed your buttons Son your still thinking about it man wake up.

I called you out because of your keyboard actions and the way you responded to my posts were comical like this post. You declined to meet up because you know I am rite it's almost like you grew up home schooled as a wannabe intellectual and were bullied most of your life by people and found Internet forums to speak down to people and correct their grammar and speak in the 3rd person like a douchebag. I could see it now on your dates, reykhel is thirsty reykhel buy beer. What can reykhel get to drink for the little lady.

If you have been called out 2 times in one week don't you think it has something to say about you. Yes we're in our 40s and when and if you get here you will understand where we are coming from. Your completely misinformed about most of everything you wrote above when it comes to the big picture.

If your so superior to me it's simple come meet me we'll roll I'll rag doll you around for an hour or so and none of your so called intelligence or skills will be able to save you. Then you will have to accept that I am rite I will buy you a beer and or ice tea what ever you prefer and you will have become a more humbled honest human being that day.

You even misunderstood me thinking I wanted to fight you, I said spar with me that is a completely different thing. If we fought their would be broken bones and torn ligaments believe me but if that's what you want I'm game for that as well. And the offer still stands if you still think your so superior to me then come on down and spar with me and prove it otherwise stop crying and accept the truth. How embarrassing and emasculating it must feel to be inferior to a so called drug user with mental health issues as your professional opinion states lol. Yeah I guess your rite people will not understand and grasp the point of a conversation because their are spelling & grammar errors in it come on really.

I'm sure you have much to offer here on the board in other areas but in this case your completely out of your element and I can show and prove it to you if you want to learn come on down no hard feelings from my side.

Ha Ha I could see it now me and reykhel ( oh I mean reykhel and I) ;) are in a social scene with women. He's over there correcting their grammar and punctuation speaking to them in the 3rd person trying to show them how intellectually superior he is over them (Yeah women love that $hi!) :)

Meanwhile I'm finger blasting them on the dance floor, banging them in the bathroom and or car, making out with them at the bar and outside the establishment. Taking them home.

Then he comes up to me with that $hi! He's trying to pull on the women, Come on son.
That just doesn't pass the sniff test in a real life application, maybe on message boards. And if he comes back here it just means I got him by the goat and his buttons were pushed

Oh yeah your 50 sorry man all your life lessons and experience went out the window today. Now if it were yesterday then that would mean something but I'm sorry to tell you everything you learned in your life vanished this morning when you woke up.

Yeah I'm sure the average 18-49 male with no training in the fight game could beat Randy Couture and I'm sure they could beat Mike Tyson man the way some of these kids think now a days is dangerous for their health.

Body language...

I work with some hardcore dudes and you have to have a thick skin to be around them. With that said there are a few guys I could actually give a rats azz about, so I make it known through my body language that I'm not the one. A cold, blank face, not laughing at an otherwise funny joke, and simply the cold shoulder.

On the flip side, dish out as much or more than you receive. Find their weak spots and poke at it until they get offended and then simply remind them how much it's not cool for you either. You are not required to be anyone's punching bag.

High self confidence and respect go hand in hand I don't think you can have one without the other (unless it isn't real confidence. i.e. high opinion of self based on what you feel others and society thinks of you rather than what you think of you)

If you aren't being respected by others on a regular basis then the problem is you, unless you make a habit of being in the company of neurotic people. Not trying to offend the OP, but this is an interesting subject. Would be helpful to hear his take on what self confidence is to him.
