Clearly. You aren't finding anything in NYC's boroughs for under $1,200 / month. For less, you have to either get roommates or dodge bullets in Newark, NJ. Even suburban New Jersey will run you $1,100+ per month for a 1 bedroom.

NYC is overrated and expensive.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Vegas. Has tons of hot women and the day clubs are insane. If you're a promoter you can make really good money. It's super cheap to live there and if you like gaming it's probably the best place in america now. I met a bunch of RSD instructors at Marquee and they love it.

Owen? Yeah Vegas is legit, you gotta have status even being a promoter or in my buddies case a club light guy (who does the light) got him access to hot model chicks. Vegas has the hottest women all over the country coming in

I love visiting Chicago, the biggest city closest to me, and other big cities too. But it would take more than hot poon to get me to live there. And pay 3x more for everything. Commute an hour to go 15 miles or be stuffed on public transportation like a hog going to market. Paying 30 bux to park my truck, etc. No thanks. I like my cheap house payment, woods, deer, lakes, fish, redneck dive bars, etc too much. But to each there own.

I live in Nashville and I've always wanted to live in an Alpha city like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston, NYC, and DC. Any of y'all live in these cities? My work won't likely re-locate me to these cities so eventually I'll have to set paths with it.
Expect adding another hour to two hours(or more) to your work day due to commute times. And expect to pay ridiculous housing prices if you want to live close to where you work. I know people who live outside Philadeplphia or Connecticut that work in NYC because they can't afford to pay the rents there.

Know what you call a guy making $100K in NYC? Broke and praying his roommate comes up with his half of the rent money, wondering what it's like to have more than a strip of grass outside his apartment building surrounded by concrete.

That goes along with what I previously posted. 100k/yr job where I live in Central Illinois will get you house that Jon and Kate +8 could live in very comfortably, and have woods/land to go run and hide from each other.

You're so full of it.

Anyway, big fish in a small pond is ideal. The rat race in major cities causes instability.
This is true. Live in London and can confirm the competition is insane and is a major incentive for shifting my attention away from women at present.

Most of the younger, most desirable women (21 - 24) have no incentive or want for anything beyond a ONS or hyper short terms relationships due to a combination of focusing on their careers, the ease of access to c0ck (tinder, bar & club scene, etc) and the enormous choice available. A lot of thirsty guys here.

They don't realise how damaging that lifestyle is until they're single at 30 and look like they're 40. The majority of men/women I know in LTRs met their partners at uni. And I'm 28 and graduated from my first degree seven years ago so that says something.

The culture here creates instability and makes spinning plates far more time consuming than ideal.

The upside is that if you have money and time you will have a great time here. I'd imagine NYC is similar. That's why I'm not sweating too much. Few more years of growing my career and business and it'll be much easier to game women.

I agree to an extent.

for those who may not know, cheapest you'll find a 1 bedroom for in NYC is $1000/month, possibly including utilities assuming you're willing to live what may or may not be the hood(it's a gamble).

if you want a pretty good neighborhood, $1000 or $1200 on a studio, yes a studio.

so that should give an idea of what NYC prices are like

2 bedrooms are like, $1500-$2000 depending on whether you'd rather live with rich white people or tyrone the crack dealer as a neighbor

That's actually cheaper than SF and DC.

I don't consider those prices expensive.

SF is a great city; however unless you are hooked in it's a nightmare. Most women are more interesting in furthering their career than finding a good relationship. I would argue SF woman are the most ignorant of the value of being able to produce offspring.

it's expensive if you want to live on your own before college without being rich since you'll never afford an apartment without working full time unless you have a high paying job

Most of you in here are not ready for big city life, plain and simple.

You have to be good, really good, to get action but the ceiling is sky high. I could be in NYC having sex with women of a bunch of different nationalities and cultures, good looking women! I could have access to parties that make college parties look like trash and be around fun people that make even the best fraternities seem average. The opportunities are endless but yes, EVERYTHING in life has a cost and great things have a great cost.

The high cost of living means hotter girls go to the area, not some poor trash.

High cost of living means that I get to be around wealthy people that want to move up, not losers who want to go nowhere in life.

It is there for a reason, all of it, and it detracts losers that have no great aspirations with life.

So there you have it OP, as you can see, not everyone is meant for that life.

Sure...and some people prefer not to pay 3-5 times what something is worth in a normal place either...it's called being intelligent.

some of the benefits to living in new york is being able to take a bus anywhere and always somehow being within a mile of 3 dozen stores no matter where you are

Who says I live in BFE? I'm in an area with a metro population well over a million people. You try again. Cities don't need to be expensive if you choose the right ones.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

How important is that when online retailing has become more important than ever? I'm 3 seconds away from any store in the world. That might have been a great selling feature in the 1950's by its mainly irrelevant now.

Agreed, I live close to chicago and the competition is insane.
As a guy if you wanna do well you gotta have your shyt togther. I'm talking 9-5 and maybe a side business. It's really competitive.
It's not unusual to meet a woman who has 2 cell phones yes 2 cellphones, with fancy jewelry and more. Hot women are taking care of in these cities and if you are not rich or offer any value "Game" alone won't help you
to lock these women down

I took a vacation to florida, and I liked how everything was bigger and more spaced out in west palm beach compared to NYC, but the problem was that you needed to drive everywhere or take a very long walk to places you needed to go.

in NYC, it'll be rare that whatever you're looking for is so rare/far away that you can't take a 15 minute bus ride straight to it. (unless you're looking for a mall)

also, not everything you want to buy can be bought on amazon, what if you want it immediately? what if you want food?

When it comes to dating options:

City > Suburbs > Rural areas

If there are more cows where you live than people, you probably made a wrong turn in life. Unless you prefer that.

Attractive women flood cities because that's where the MONEY is and where the powerful men are. She won't find a thriving man with money out in a corn field.

Everything in life is about sex one way or another. Cities are a symbol of human success as the alpha species on earth. No other animal can do it. In some ways, the less you prefer the advanced environment of a large city, the closer you are to a basic animal living in nature. In nature, you are competing more with animals than other people. Easy for a human since we are the alpha species. Too easy even. But in a city, you are competing only with other humans. The best of the best. The ultimate test of intelligence, strength, power, and ambition. To THRIVE you really have to be better than LOTS of other people. Not just animals. Attractive women understand that.
