This little gem is called a DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENT. "double binds are used to display power and gain control over others"

The person using the double bind has no interest in communication. They want to invalidate you and force their belief or will upon you.

If you observe the posts from this guy and his pals, they are full of DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENTS.

THE DOUBLE BIND basically offers you two conflicting choices. It's like when someone offers you an ultimatum. They are saying
"you choose what I want, or you take the nasty alternative".

When Poon King was at his worst he would use the double bind : "You believe my theory or you are a beta phaggot.".......so you have two extreme conflicting choices.

If you observe the second or third response to this thread, by the poster who has an Asian name and a picture of Jesus or something you will see, that he also uses a DOUBLE BIND. He offered two very conflicting outcomes. If you are not in A, then you must be in B. They want you to have no room to move.

I can guarantee you that if a guy posted on her that his woman was using the DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENT, posters would be telling him that she is a BPD and a worthless cvnt. I guarantee it.

Would they be right? Yes. The DOUBLE BIND is a form of INVALIDATION and is a sign of NARCISSISM.

It's like someone saying to you......Agree with me or I hit you with this stick. They make you believe that you don't have a choice.

What do you do? You take the stick away. There's always more choices. Recognize the DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENT for what it is and step away from it..........

What would you class as a poor country? I've travelled plenty and lived in several countries. How about Cuba? Poor?

Anyway, I see that a lot of people seem to have taken offense. It wasn't my intention and the actual question I was asking seems to
have got twisted and obfuscated greatly.

Perhaps I should have titled the thread more thoughtfully, perhaps something like

"For any of you who has lived in Europe and the USA or spent a substantial amount of time in each of these continents dealing with the people on a professional and social basis, have you observed many differences with regards to the way money and the concept of value is viewed? what about how the people of each continent spends their leisure time? What are the observations and what are your viewpoints on them?"

Oh well, you live and learn. So many absolutes in the opinions here.

to reframe it and make it all about you as usual. It's quite fitting that you used the word "obsession", that means your brain is starting
to be a little bit honest. Unfortunately you've wrongly assigned the word. I think an honest assessment would come to the conclusion
that you are obsessed, not only with your self but with everybody else finances and photos on the board. I think it's you who takes the
codependence to an obsessional level. Thread after thread after thread after thread. How many of your threads get locked down. I would say your the poster with the most locked threads. But that's because they attack you right? No it's because you simply must be right. You're obsessed with being right.

Well, you are the one that keeps talking about "those 3 guys" which includes myself, Neil, and The Urbanyst. You keep bringing Tenacity into the conversation and then get mad when the conversation turns into aspects about Tenacity?

Now it's not my fault after discussing things on this forum (which is why it's called a discussion forum) that the other person goes bat shyt crazy...like the three men you mention next.....

- I disagreed with aspects of Poon King's commentary and asked why he never posts pics of himself with women, seeing as though he continued to promote himself as an ultimate ALPHA whereas everyone else were these lowly betas. He then went on about beta fag.gots over and over again. That's not my fault.

- I disagreed with Guru's "law of attraction" advice for wealth management and real estate "get rich quick" techniques. He then went on to threaten to sue me, sue Sosuave, and throw out racial remarks towards me. That's not my fault.

- BeTheChange in 2015 was running around here saying he was making well over 6 figures, working in I-Banking, and had a large Rolex of high net worth individuals he knew. You can go search the post history if you think I'm lying. Then in his journal that he posted this year, he goes on to state that in 2015 he was broke, living on overdraft, and $20,000 in debt. So that means his posts from 2015 were a complete lie. It's not my fault the guy is a damn liar.

Pissed off? I wouldn't go that far. I thought the boards took a very boring turn. The website has become very boring and it just seems to be one **** measuring contest. I actually like and agree with a lot of what you and @bigneil writes, however I do tend to interject when your egos are playing silly beggars. But the moment I disagree with one thing you say, your black and white thinking comes into play.

And I only wrote this thread after some observations AND then a situation in my own life came into play: I have a chance to earn a bit of extra side cash, but it would mean giving up my Saturdays starting from this Saturday the first one in June. More money and give up the beach? last summer if you check my post history I was gone from here for about four months.......fvcking great summer. A lot of surfing, a lot of beach, a lot of wine and a couple of woman. It was bliss. So earn extra easy cash and sacrifice the beach or fvck the extra cash and go to the beach. In the end I've decided that I don't need it. The beach it is.

Well, if I come off like I'm trying to promote having the biggest DYCK...let me publicly state that I don't lol. There are still a lot of things in life that I don't understand, am stupid about, along with a variety of mistakes I continue to make.

I'm nobody's hero, role model, or anything. I'm a very flawed individual doing the very best he can to get through life with some level of entertainment and enjoyment. I do at times post reports on how my age group is doing, because that keeps things in perspective for me to know that I'm doing VERY WELL compared to others my age. But in no way am I trying to say I have the biggest dyck, biggest bank account, biggest lay count, or biggest anything.

Strong words brother. I feel the same. Friends from middle school don't even recognize me anymore and those from high school keep tell me how I look a lot different even though it hasn't been that long. If you've seen what I was before and what I am now, you would in no way believe that it was me.
