Poor countries are different, and they actually PERFECTLY represent the people who talk about money all the time. Elliot Hulse talked about it actually. When you are that poor, it's more about not wanting to die rather than wanting to be great. People tend to run AWAY from something (hunger, thirst, sickness, etc.) harder rather than they would run TOWARDS something (greatness, fame, etc.)

The people who claim wealth to be the end game do so because they are running away from the insecurities of having to face the issues they have had since they were kids. It is the equivalent of a woman playing the victim during a breakup because she doesn't want to admit to herself that she was the one who fvcked it up since she does not have the mental strength to handle that concept. It would destroy her. Well the same goes for those guys on here who worship money.
What do you mean by poor countries are different? Most people aim to be rich rather than poor. I think it applies in most societies.

The point I was getting at is that it is easier to move into a higher status level in the U.S. than a country like India. In India, it isn't quite as easy. People marry according to their caste level, go to school according to their caste level and many other things. Their whole life is determined by their caste level. Families seek out eligible partners for their children based on their status level.

I am content with the amount of money I earn. I could buy more rental properties but that would interfere with my free time.

There was a point in time when I had more real estate, worked a full time job and ran a lawn service. I was working morning till night. All for an ungrateful stay at home mom. There has to be a balance. I think I have found that balance for me. If I'm not good enough for some women, why should I care? There are plenty of women out there.

As far as USA vs other countries I have no clue.

Caring about your position on the food chain is not an American thing. Its part of the natural competition in nature.

It shows up in different ways depending on the culture or the society. But status is a thing everywhere you go. Humans and animals in general are naturally competitive. Those who complain about the competition are usually the ones losing.

People stupid enough to pretend life is not a competition are guaranteed to lose. Life is a competition. I knew this from a very young age.

In dating, the options you have are related to how many other MEN you are superior to in a woman's eyes. Same as how a HOT women is valued more because she looks better than 90% of the female population.

Your position on the food chain always matters. And there is no way around it either.

I was talking about the effort someone will put into progressing in their life. People are much more willing to work 100 hours a week if the alternative would be them and their family sleeping out on the streets than if it was to become a millionaire. That's the point I wa trying to make. Humans tend to run AWAY from something negative more so than run TOWARDS something positive. This is because pain engraves a stronger memory in us than happiness or pleasure does.

I feel like the USA gets a lot of blame because we are the most dominant country in the world. Anybody that says Asian countries aren't obsessed with status have clearly not left their mgtow mother's basement in bumfvck Indiana yet. Go to any city on the west coast or global alpha city and you'll see kids of extremely wealthy Asians trolling the road with their expensive European cars. Quit believing this MGTOW third world pvssy paradise wet dream on how you're going to find some angel in a third world angel country. Guess what, the ones desperate enough to leave and ditch their families have a reason to do so.

Do you think that America is more obsessed with status than most other nations? Than Europeans? do you think it's healthy?
Whether it's healthy or not, it's the only way the powers that be/rich people can control the masses. We are all collateral damage for the rich people of the world, so when they tell us to keep working and working to get more money more money more money so one day we can suddenly be happy like them, we don't have time to question anything.

We have programmed from an early age to study hard, get into college, get good grades, get a well paying job, get a mortgage, pay it back for 25 years and we will be happy. Don't question anything, don't invent anything, value girls like crazy and give them want they want to sleep with you, and work work work for the system like a robot and you will reach euphoria when your house is paid off. The American dream.

They say the leaders of Muslim countries brainwash their citizens. American leaders brainwash too, its just that their leaders are in suits and ties while others are robes and slippers. We are just too stupid to see the wool being pulled over our eyes. o_O

IME the emerging new wealthly class in China outdoes the US where status and the unapologetic display of its trappings is concerned. 100K +!for certain rare dogs that are appreciating like the Dutch tulip mania during the17th century.

India is similar, with conspicuous austentacious display of emerging wealth in the upper castes.

I've seen 16 year old Chinese kids wearing more than 10K worth of clothing & so forth. That's before you consider the electronics they also carry around.

It's all very fashion victim esque to me, and therefore cartoonish. When you become a caricature then it's over the top. Seriously.

Yes. Americans are obsessed with status. With good reason. America was founded with one sole idea in mind, LIBERTY. In this world the only thing that grants you true LIBERTY, is wealth.

It is why we are the strongest.
It is why we are the most free.

Anyone has a shot at the American dream of liberty here in the land of the free.

America's success can be attributed to geography and being a former British colony. The whole liberty **** is stupid. Give a country like Chad the Constitution and see how much that helps them.

It seems all that's heard on the board lately is "high status", "earn more money" "be high value"......that's all well and good, but lets say you earn a great wage, you're on the property ladder, you're doing well in your career, you're developing........

.....You're satisfied and want to enjoy life. Is the advice still...."make more money!!!"............."want want want want want....."

There has to be a limit no?
No, there's no limit. But everything in life is about balance.

Tenacity works hard and plays hard. Granted, I don't play as hard as I could.......I'm honestly at the position where I can not work for a number of years and just live off my income streams/investments. But "work" is actually another playground to me.

Yes and it spills over on to dating as well.

Foreign women want men that make them feel good which is why game works so well on them, because they get aroused based on looks, game, and to an extent resources.

American women want men that make them look good and their life is forever a high school popularity contest that never ended.

I've traveled the world I can tell you that most everywhere they are way more concerned with status than we are here. Mostly because here we have the opportunity and freedom to better ourselves.

Exactly. The international students at my son's school are FAR more concerned about status than the domestic kids. To put things in perspective...the handbag in the bottom pic that @taiyuu_otoko posted costs 32K to 60K or more new. On EBay they start at 12K and up. Think about that. A second hand purse that costs 12K! That's an Hermes Kelly bag (design popularized by Grace Kelly in the 1960s.) So there's your fashion fact for the day.

And no I don't own one. That kind of money gets put into income producing assets in my world...but if I was rich enough I'd have half a dozen. Once said assets are throwing off ridiculous disposable income? Sure.

Grammatically that doesn't make sense. You're saying that the mother is MGTOW. Just saying.

This little gem is called a DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENT. "double binds are used to display power and gain control over others"

The person using the double bind has no interest in communication. They want to invalidate you and force their belief or will upon you.

If you observe the posts from this guy and his pals, they are full of DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENTS.

THE DOUBLE BIND basically offers you two conflicting choices. It's like when someone offers you an ultimatum. They are saying
"you choose what I want, or you take the nasty alternative".

When Poon King was at his worst he would use the double bind : "You believe my theory or you are a beta phaggot.".......so you have two extreme conflicting choices.

If you observe the second or third response to this thread, by the poster who has an Asian name and a picture of Jesus or something you will see, that he also uses a DOUBLE BIND. He offered two very conflicting outcomes. If you are not in A, then you must be in B. They want you to have no room to move.

I can guarantee you that if a guy posted on her that his woman was using the DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENT, posters would be telling him that she is a BPD and a worthless cvnt. I guarantee it.

Would they be right? Yes. The DOUBLE BIND is a form of INVALIDATION and is a sign of NARCISSISM.

It's like someone saying to you......Agree with me or I hit you with this stick. They make you believe that you don't have a choice.

What do you do? You take the stick away. There's always more choices. Recognize the DOUBLE BIND ARGUMENT for what it is and step away from it..........

Bill Hicks said something like "If you really think you're free, crank up your monster truck and sit in the driveway or the car park in
the mall. Go sit on the roof and spark open a six pack of beer"

Correct use of wealth can get you freedom.

Most people will stay locked in the Matrix for the rest of their lives believing they are free.
