Actually, it's the very first message board site that I went to only because a real-life friend recommended it. This was probably in the early 2000s when it was around...now it's greatly improved.

I don't think I've ever really "got" what MGTOW is supposed to be about. When I first heard about it, I figured it was about guys who decided they didn't need women in their lives. Then it sounded like you could be MGTOW while living a full blown DJ PUA lifestyle, hitting the clubs every night looking to get laid. So if the latter is true, I don't see what separates MGTOW from regular old PUAs.

Now if some group were to decide to cut women out of their life while they pursued their own thing, THAT would be daring. Count me out (I like balance in my life), but it would be daring.

It differs in the sense that it is a movement dealing with a whole bunch of big issues regarding men nowadays. PUA and general manosphere are touching the legal problems men face very lightly as they are mainly into teaching you how to pick up chicks and to be more relaxed about life. Do you see a lot of threads being made here to explain why women get their own way in a horrible way after divorce? How men are being ****ed up starting from kindergarten from female teachers? There is a 1000 things I can list right now that are enraging, but are not considered like this because the world is full of feminists and ***** males.

This community and a lot of other manosphere communities came to life because as you also know, the times we live in call for it. If there were fathers around their children more, we would not need anyone here telling us how and what to do. I am not saying the manosphere is useless if fathers were around, but men who are here lack fatherly role models in different aspects of their life and they come to seek them here. PUA and manosphere deal mostly with the simple and social aspect of what's going on. MGTOW deals more with the scientific, statistical, economic effects that I think are crucial for men to understand.

Although I don't do it as much as I used to though...there was a time in my college days and 20s where I played NES/SNES and Mortal Kombat with friends religiously instead of hitting the frat parties. (Weren't my thing)

Once upon a time society was a dog eat dog, cut throat environment. All's fair in love and war type of thing.

Then they invented democracy and the con artists that wanted to be elected into power promised "fairness" to everybody.

For a while it worked, because since the end of the Industrial Revolution, until the 50's (plus or minus a couple decades) every society was GROWING. So it WAS pretty fair.

But it had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to with the con artist politicians who promised a fair society.

Problem is growth is OVER. Which means they idea that EVERYBODY can "get some" is OVER.

Which means we're back to the dog eat dog, cut throat, "all's fair in love and war" environment.

MGTOW Is kind of a way to deal with the sad TRUTH that has been TRUE since the dawn of time.

Most dudes just ain't all that, and are lucky to bang a fatty.

The system has ALWAYS been based on lies. It's just now getting a lot easier to see them.

BUT, if you treat it as a dog eat dog, cutthroat, "all's fair in love and war" system and NOT an allegedly "fair" system promised to us by con artist politicians, you can generally do all right.

MGTOW's don't want to acknowledge that. They'd rather cling to the fantasy of a "fair society" where you get something just because you think you "deserve" it.

Nothing ever was fair, nothing ever will be fair.

I suppose they are trying to act as a counterweight to feminism. I have no issue with that. The BS woman get away with in the workplace is pretty frightening. My mate it's a hard worker. He works beside a bunch of female change managers. So they go off to the gym in work time and r often "working" from home. The prettiest and laziest of them has been turning up in short skirts lately he figures she's probably up for a promotion.

Personally I'm not much of a joiner. Every so often I get a bit over all the games and go off and do my own thing for a while.
