I've always prided myself on this, an amazing feeling to have. Nothing really feels that much better than to be at the top of a social hierarchy, especially as a guy. Knowing that it is you and an exclusive group of people at the top, hot girls being a part of that, and everyone else wanting to either be you or have your situation.

For your high school days, the game was pretty obvious. So many guys were trying to get laid and party, you knew who the cool kids were based on who the hot girls were hanging out with. A lot of these guys enjoyed getting laid at parties, drinking for the first time, having some amazing social gatherings, going on date with hot girls, and the whole package. All the while the "nerds" were staying in and were notified of their lower social status.

College was more or less the same, except for most universities in the United States it involved playing a sport or being in Greek Life. Still you had things like themed parties where hot girls would only call a certain group of guys over. You had the typical hierarchy still in place with certain groups of guys and hot girls at the top of it and everyone else down below.

Now lets get to the chaos known as the adult world, where you're no longer forced to see the same people over and over again.

What would make a guy high status and popular but most importantly, how would that hierarchy even look?

I mean if you're the typical accountant, doctor, or white collar professional you're working really hard and making a good amount of money. Now that being said, you still aren't having that much sex or anything.

Celebrities are the clear winners here but that isn't attainable for most guys.

Being at the top of a social hierarchy is what really made the game that much more enjoyable for me in my younger days. Now in the adult world, it seems like the social hierarchy might exist but it is more based on what neighborhood you live in, how your kids are doing, and that kind of ****.

The parties are gone, the debauchery is no longer there, or any of that. Maybe I am not seeing something but obviously, there must be a social hierarchy in the adult world that separates guys who are winners from guys who are losers. Not only that, winners must congregate towards other winners but how would that crowd even look like in your 30s and onwards?

Who would be the higher status or popular kids of the adult world?

In the adult world money and position are the big factors. In other words, with money: How much do you make and how big of a house do you live in? With position: What do you do for a living? How much power/control do you have, and over who and how many people?

Looks are a factor too, although I don't think they are as big of factors as money and position in the adult world.

I enjoy going against the grain and keeping people guessing. People often assume I am rich because I live in a nice house worth 250k in a well off rural neighborhood. But then they wonder why I drive such a scruffy truck that's shows it's age and use. And why I have redneck like 'trinkets' all over my yard of my nice house in my nice neighborhood. And why I buy a lot of my cloths at Goodwill and drink cheap canned beer. But, they think I am powerful because I am a cop and I carry a gun and can arrest people. Truthfully, I hate the whole status game. To me the best status is doing my own thing and not giving a sh|t who thinks what or where I officially fall in the status hiarchy. That's just me. But to each their own.

Way to buy into this social hierarchy bull****. Does it exist? Yes obviously. But it is the pinnacle of social slavery. In adopting these roles, you shackle yourself with the chains of others' judgements. They dictate who you are and what you get to be. It's a fulfilling prophecy. That's a sure fire way to get trapped into the inescapable vortex of informing your being with that of social judgment and securing your value as a person based on other people's positioning of you.

Snap out of it. You can create your own life and define your own existential status, and reject the particular category that people naturally provide you with. In doing so you rise above the social hierarchy and attain a certain freedom not enjoyed by those on the inside of this cultural categorizing process. By this measure you achieve what none within the sphere ever experience. Self-definition. They will all svck you off if you achieve this. And even if they don't. Do you really want to be dictated by the particular category enforced upon you by evolutionary and social standards? What kind of freedom or life is that?

It's all about how you present yourself. It's almost sad how people treat you different when you're wearing a suit instead of regular clothes. People are actually kind of stupid like that because they believe what they see most of the time.

I'm tall and white so people always speak to me like I'm the manager, when in reality the manager is a short black dude they walked around on their way to me. Kinda funny, kinda sad. Looks matter a lot and people assume a lot when they first look at you.

I don't have **** in my life. I'm always broke, my car sucks and I love my job but it won't take me anywhere. I'm not good at socializing or making friends with other men, and I don't have a hobby other than "getting girls." I'm good looking and able to hide details about my life or spin those mundane things into positives. I've dated a girl for years without her knowing anything about me. If a girls interested in you she'll assume positive things about you. That's just how it is.

Its difficult to say because as they get older people become more and more deluded and also society is decaying more and more with each passing year

IMO a winner to me is someone who virtually manages to avoid the standard “life blueprint”

I.E College – job – house – girlfriend – wife – kid – 40 + years of grind and then retirement

if you have enough substance about you to deviate from that

I.E celebrity , professional sports star , musician , entrepreneur , then I would imagine life would be pretty enjoyable , you are likely to look healthier and age slower , you are able to date and fvck partners half your age , your time is yours and you spend your money how you like

The problem with this straegey is your basically defying society and living a “selfish” lifestyle is tabooed your tricked into believing you are lonely and everyone else is enjoying this perfect harmonial family life

which forces the majority of people into becoming clones of one another merely separated by how big their houses are or how well theyre kids are doing in school

there are no winners in this format

^^This right here is spot on right. People are lazy and sometimes would rather judge the book by the cover vs read the book.

For me the top is not having to work but still having money to play with. Any way you can achieve that is a win.

Well basically what you're saying is there's no winners when it comes to reality. Let's face it most people won't become celebrities, professional athletes, financially successful musicians, etc. There's nothing wrong with getting an education, a solid job, real estate to build your net worth. It's really the way that those things are presented in society that makes them kind of crappy. A college education is ridiculously expensive. The job market and job hunt is a complete mess(or not depending on the field), housing isn't getting any cheaper, even for crappy houses is subpar neighborhoods and rent prices just continue to skyrocket. All of the things you listed aside from probably the girlfriend, wife, kid, could all be great things if simply they were integrated into modern society better. It's actually a wonder they're not.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Look up goldRush rally. Thousands of dollars to drive your supercar from state to state and party throughout the whole trip. Those are the cool kids of the adult world imo. A car club I have been talking to is doing something similar in January but smaller scale. Drive through socal all day for a poker run and then it ends with dinner on a yacht.

of course there isn't , the system that most people live in is there to keep the rich rich and the poor poor

everything in between is merely designed to distract people and keep people from deviating into a state of anarchy / freedom

its very difficult for the average man to break through the least we can do is simply refuse to commit to as much of it as possible

Commit to YOURSELF. If you have kids, commit to them too.

I like some of what was said on this thread but it is a "hierarchy" for a reason, meaning that some people must be above others. The hierarchy must have its winners and its losers. In high school it was pretty obvious just by seeing who the hot girls were with and it was a closed environment where the same people had to run into each other over and over and over again. I would say that college was somewhat similar too.

It's just not clear to me how that hierarchy would look like in the adult world and what would separate the winners from the losers. In a way I feel like it's there but it is just not as clear as it was in high school. By knowing how such a hierarchy looks like, we have a clear picture of what we're talking about when we say status.

lol 250K won't even buy you a bedroom where I live.

I make over 100K per year but cannot afford to buy a house. In California you're not rich unless you're making $10 million+. My salary is below average for the kinds of people I'm competing with.

So everything is relative really. I think money alone won't get your **** wet. You have to have some kind of social status or be involved in stuff that attracts women, like owning a club in Vegas.

It puzzles me how so many guys who claim to know so much about the game are unaware of the social hierarchies of life, makes me question how many guys here are actually getting laid.

I was introverted for about two thirds of my life--good grades, high analytic ability, critical thinker, etc. The other third of my life, I have been the same as the first two thirds, but friendly, talkative, relaxed, etc. All of my life, I have been judged for being different--for not watching TV and not knowing what shows people talk about. For answering my professors' questions correctly in class and responding with thorough arguments, for driving a Prius, etc. What these experiences have taught me as a whole is not to allow others to classify me into categories. I have had success with women, I have had money in investments while others are buying consumer goods or indebted for superfluous purchases, etc. The point is, the true leader is not one that attempts to put others down in a hierarchy--a form of social Darwinism. He does not need to "show off."A true leader or "alpha" is one who is comfortable in his own skin; he is the one that helps the kid being bullied, who sets up his goals and meets them, who manages his finances well, thinks ahead of the curve and passes down knowledge to those less fortunate than him. A man at the "top" of the hierarchy, is one who demonstrates outstanding human character, ethics, integrity, compassion, justice and success.

In short, a true leader and "alpha" leads without insecurity, without concerns about rank. Because he has his basic needs met (food, shelter, social ties, belonging, etc.) he can embark on larger things, such as the world's largest problems and/or causes that he's passionate about. If you see "hot girls" as the prize, you haven't learned the core teaching of this site. If you look down on others, it only shows your insecurity. A large part of progress we have had as a species has been because of "nerds" or "mad scientists" who created light bulbs, who created radios, who created cars, who designed homes, who invented computers, who invented cures to diseases that could have eradicated our species.

So when you judge others based on "social status," or their possessions, the only thing one is demonstrating a lack of character in judging people you've never met--ironically, a reflection of you not being at the "top" of the hierarchy. Let that sink in.
