Hey guys, I wanted to quickly ask if anyone has some suggestions on jobs that pay decent enough that a guy could do from home or travelling. I'm pretty good with computers but I know I'm going to need some kind of education to accomplish this. I've been welding the last 10 years and I just want a job where I can travel for months at a time and still make money.

You could always try network marketing. That does involve meeting with people and talking to them - and you can do that in your home town (partly at home), or almost anywhere else.

Blogging, adsense, affiliate programs

Use a site like udemy to learn how to do it.

You can google for 90% off coupon codes so would cost you around $10 to learn (not adding domain fees and hosting fees for your sites)

I am on the same mission as you.

Its actually quite good, I signed up for it, and he shows you how to do lots of stuff, but it wasn't for me really. I wanted stuff that would make me money.

If it's something that interests you, then go for it, it's a great course.

Just an example, I was sniffing the wifi traffic in my area with this course.

Internet marketing.

Work very hard for a couple of months to a year if you do it right and have a passive income to travel for a while

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

Have no specifics, but I'd just caution you that this 'job' better be something you love, or you better be very disciplined, or the work-at-home deal probably won't work out.

A female friend of mine quit her job as a store manager to take a job working at home running background checks on people for some legal deal. At first I thought "now that sounds fun". It's 40 hours per week, benefits, etc. All from home. But talk to her after she has been at it a few months. She says she has never worked so hard in her life. They time her on every tiny thing she does down to the minute. She says when her Internet connection goes down they hold it against her and she was seriously considering having to get a second connection for a backup. No freakin' thanks...

There is a big difference between work from home and work remote (travel). As @logicallefty said, working from home is hardly ideal. It's the same as working an office job but being chained to your own desk. You'll feel like a slave in your bedroom, the place that is supposed to be your escape.

My dream is to be a successful travel agent who works totally remote, for a company that provides me leads but is pretty much hands off outside of that (and making sure I sell with integrity.) If I don't put up the metrics fire me, otherwise leave me alone. Don't even mind if it's mostly/all commission, as long as I can have to freedom to sell while I myself am traveling, and not being restricted to my own PC.

Believe it or not these companies exist, but understandably they want a lot of experience in travel. They take a big risk hiring people they never actually meet. And they get a ton of applicants for these positions because everyone wants to quit their day job.

So I just got a job working as a travel agent in an office and ideally, I would get a promotion in a year, leave with at least 2 years total experience on the systems, and hopefully with that and my Bachelors that's enough to GTFO and go remote.

I am doing internet marketing. I've built up a small book of business of 8+ clients a month. I'm only my 3rd month into this.

1st month - $130 profit
2nd month - $180 profit
3rd month - $300-$400+ profit

I am actively selling new clients and will not be passive until I'm personally banking $1k+ per month.
