As far as Kaepernick's own message being muddied, I don't think HE has done that. Right or wrong, he's stuck to his point. Other people have made it about patriotism and entitlement.
Yeah, but his message has become muddled because of the manner in which he chose to protest. He's the one who involved the anthem and the flag. The issue was already being discussed, partly because of the more tasteful protests by basketball players. Kaepernick just sowed more diversity, which is not what we need IMO. To defeat racism, we need to pull together, not apart.

No, what this Uncle Tom is telling you is that Slavery would not have started had our own PEOPLE would not have sold us into it.
They didn't have the internet back in the 1500-1600's, how would people know the evils and barbarity of the slavery system in the Americas in Africa?

Tenacity said:
And the modern day slavery which goes on in today's prisons would not be going on if once again, our own PEOPLE (the black drug lords who recruit these black males to sell for them) would not be selling our people into it.
If blacks had access to jobs (in this case) then they would not be selling drugs. There are white drug lords too. Police arrest Blacks at 4 times the rates to Whites, all variables in, who commit the exact same rates of crime. That would make Blacks 25% responsible, and the white-supremacist system 75% to blame. Not even 50% here.

[QUOTE="Tenacity, post: 2365124, member: 126843"
Everytime you preach personal responsibility to black people, they start talking about how WHITE people do it too, like that's a fvcking excuse. [/QUOTE]

I think they are pointing out to the fact that they don't get arrested, and if they do, get a slap in the wrist in the justice system. The enforcement of the laws sends a strong message. If everyone is doing the same thing, and only Blacks are being prosecuted while everyone else gets a free pass then that sort of legitimizes that excuse somewhat. If enforcement of laws was fair then I think that would deal with the root cynicism and frustration and disarm that type of argument.

It's funny, I posted something similar in the ISIS thread. One response was, that doesn't mean it's not an issue worth solving.
That was me who said that. And it's not a good comparison you're making. You said Islamic terrorism is incredibly rare, but dying from just about anything other than heart disease, cancer, or car accidents is "rare". Sure the chances are slim of being killed by an Islamic terrorist, but we're talking about PROPORTIONS here. 3,200+ deaths caused by 0.8% of the population over a 15 year period is actually astoundingly too common. On the other hand, there were 140 blacks killed last year by cops, many of them ruled justifiable. You might be talking about 50 homicides...out of 40 million black people. The Muslim number is terrifying given how few Muslims there are in the country, the blacks killed by cops ratio can hardly be measured in decimals considering how many blacks there are in the country.

I am fully behind Colin Kapernick and am glad to see that mixed race people such as him, and Obama (who is also mixed race) is taking leadership in these issues and taking a stand. It must be that white part of them (just kidding). A whole movement is being started as other sports teams are following suit. Recent police shootings in Tulsa and North Carolina substantiate this cause. Look at what happened in Tusla. That was a clearly wanton shooting from that lady officer. The man's hands were in the air the whole time. Suspects in NYC for terrorism had their life spared while his was taken? Their lives had more value than his?

Police should not get paid leave whenever someone dies in custody or under their care. They should just get fired and charged with murder. Until that happens there is going to be issues. It is too long that videos are circulating where this type of stuff has been happening and nothing is really being done about it. I don't know how anyone can truly disagree with a simple and straightforward message like that. As far as the delivery of the message, there is no proper way to deliver a message like that because nobody wants to hear it. It's not a popular message to those who benefit from white supremacist system because it exposes people. That is what he choose, and that is what Veterans fought and died for. In fact, Veterans are just as liable as being racially profiled and shot by police for nonsense, as has probably happened before. That's a true insult to risk your life for the country and end up dead by the police in the country over nonsense and then have your name slandered as the media dig up dirt on you (i.e. like you were suspended in school for putting chewed bubble gum under your table).

So people are offended by his stance - so what?
I'm not sure offended is the right word. I disagreed with his chosen manner of protest, so I said so. So what? So nothing. Life goes on. He at least had the good sense to change his sit down to a kneel, I give him credit for that. Sitting during the anthem was basically flipping me off while telling me to care about his cause. If you want me to care about your cause, how about saying so instead of flipping me off?

You may be right that people here might give someone a pass if they were protesting some men's rights issue this way. Guys here get pretty heated about that. But they would be wrong too (IMO). And that aside, I don't see men's rights being discussed much on the news, certainly not as much as the police discrimination issue. Kaepernick's issue was already receiving a lot of press. I don't think his original sit down was a protest as much as him simply disliking the country and not wanting to stand for it (again, his right). His original statements were along those lines. It was only after he continued to be interviewed that it became a more polished protest.

Blacks do have access to jobs. I'm training for a nice little $50,000 a year corporate job For a fortune 100 company. There are 14 people in the class - 4 of them are black. Over the last 60 years, every corporation and university in the country has rolled out the red carpet for any minority who wants a job. Any black person not working is not applying himself.

And a tough job market is not an excuse to break the law, FYI.

There are white drug lords too.
Pointless statement.

Pointing to Problem B doesn't disprove the validity of Problem A. Only an anti-white bigot would bring up whites in a discussion that doesn't involve them.

Police arrest Blacks at 4 times the rates to Whites, all variables in, who commit the exact same rates of crime.
Not true. I've heard vague, meaningless statements with no context like this before. Pseudo-academic black "intellectuals" try that all the time. There is no data to back it up. In fact, blacks commit 52% of murder and 38% of all violent crime. Their representation in the prison system is nearly perfectly proportionate to the amount of crimes they commit.

Moreover, police are more than twice as likely to shoot a white criminal than a black criminal. Blacks committed over 5,000 homicides last year, whites committed around 4,000. 326 whites were killed, 140 blacks. Police are far more hesitant to shoot a black person because they'll face a harder public consequence.

That would make Blacks 25% responsible, and the white-supremacist system 75% to blame. Not even 50% here.
Nonsense. There is nothing called white supremacy. It's a tool used by some weak blacks and brainwashed whites. These individuals need racism to remain around so they can blame their failures on someone else.

That's a despicable comment and you should be ashamed of yourself. In your world Darren Wilson would have been "charged with murder" when all he did was defend himself from a thug and criminal who was trying to kill him.

Until that happens there is going to be issues. It is too long that videos are circulating where this type of stuff has been happening and nothing is really being done about it.
Well, other than black supremacists murdering police sniper-style based on lies.

It's not a popular message to those who benefit from white supremacist system because it exposes people.
There is nothing called white supremacy. That's a buzzword used by the grievance industry to hustle people, and an excuse for weak people to excuse away failure.

Allow me to correct you on a few points...

There is a GIANT difference between Tulsa and Charlotte, and even NYC. Tulsa was a huge mistake. There is no real defending it, only ways to learn from it. Charlotte still has information coming out, but there isn't anything that is bad so far, other than people wanting free stuff apparently. For NYC, they did shoot the guy. Sometimes people die from gunshots, sometimes they don't.

So, let me get this straight...I'm a cop. I stopped you and arrested you because you were speeding down the road at 80 mph in a 35 mph zone, and you had 2 warrants. You've been cool, there was no physical issues or anything. On the way to jail, you have a heart attack and die. I should be fired and charged with murder because you are under my care and custody, right?

I'm a cop. I see you selling drugs on the street corner. As I go to approach you, you run. While running, you swallow your stash of cocaine and heroin before I catch up to you and I don't know about it. You still have other stuff on you and I arrest you. On the way to jail, you slump out and go comatose because the drugs just really hit your system. You die on the way to the hospital because of how much you ingested. I should be fired and charged with murder because you are under my care and custody, right?

Those two things happen a lot, across the country (and in other countries too.) There have been several "in custody" deaths in our agency during the past 2 years alone, from people having heart attacks and other medical issues, ranging from right after being in custody to while talking to the nurse at jail. Should all my coworkers be fired for someone having high blood pressure and the person stopped taking their medication 6 months ago?

As far as being fired and charged with murder ASAP, I guess cops don't get due process too, right?

If I see you standing on a street corner, should I just arrest you and charge you with various drug distribution charges, without seeing why you were there or what was going on? What about stopping you for speeding and you don't have your license with you? Should I just arrest you and charge you for not having a license, without seeing if you really did have it or left it at home?

Home burnt down? Must be you committing arson. Someone in your family died at your house? You must have killed them.

There are Blacks who are unable to find work, or if they do find work are paid less than whites. That's why in 2016, the average earnings for White people are $ 25, and Blacks is $ 19. If you look around America, most impoverished areas are Black ghettos, while affluent suburbs are White. Since White-flight (i.e. White moving with their wealth as Blacks move into the area), the inner cities have closed or underfunded schools, libraries, and have less opportunity to succeed then in wealthy suburban areas. This leads to a de facto "economical" segregation.

These facts can be easily googled, and is observable that there are clear and obvious wealth disparities in America. You look at that and say everything is kosher with this.

Yeah, that's relevant to this discussion? You are making judgments, I'm stating facts.

We both have access to google. I'm sure you can find that Blacks are arrested 4 times the rate of White people in terms of drug possession, when both have the same rates of this particular crime. You can't hide facts these days since you can just google them out so I'm not going to enter into a factual arguement here.

Again, people are free to go on google and either confirm what you are saying or disprove what you are saying. All I know is I heard my stats from CNN and alternative news channels like TYT. It's also on wikipedia.

Also you never mentioned which UNARMED group was killed. Here I'm dealing with NONSENSE shootings. Not legitimate shootings in self-defense because the officer's life was in danger or the other person was armed and could have shot the officer. If you say 326 ARMED whites were killed who posed a serious threat to police, and 140 UNARMED Blacks were wantonly killed by bored police wanting to squash a what they perceive is a ****roach , that sort of changes the story a bit, don't you think?

You don't think so? Let me ask you a question:
As a white person:
1) Do you have to worry that if you surrender and follow the police officer's order that you'll end up dead.
2) Do you have to worry that if your car broke down you could end up dead by a police officer?
3) Do you have to worry that your 80 year old grandmother may be pepper-sprayed by cops for asking why they are inside her house?
4) Do you have to worry about being rejected by an escort when you have enough money to pay her?

Still think there is nothing called white supremacy?

Come on pal.

I wouldn't spend too much time trying to educate the dude. He just put his foot in his mouth and didn't even realize it. He was using the pseudo-intellectual double talk about how "blacks get arrested at 4x the rate of our white counterpart for the same crime". That BS sounds sophisticated so it flies with some low information readers with no critical thinking skills. But once he said ahhhhh just charge the pigs with murder! you realize you're dealing with someone whose tribalism trumps facts.

There are differing accounts as to what happened there, but, sure. How many white people are dead because of police stopping them for jay-walking? The premise of why someone is stopped in the first place is a minor violation should not result in a dead person.

Videos of police shooting innocent Blacks sometimes touches a nerve with someone who wants to settle the score if the DA's office can't.

That is not what I said. You are twisting what I'm saying out of context. More like a handcuffed man shot at blank range on the head so the officer can pass his initiation. That would be more accurate.

Again, not applicable. How about you stopped my car,you and your thug officers beat me up because you had nothing better to do and plant drugs in my car and then I wind up dead because of injuries and make up a false report to cover yourselves. See, that's applicable. Do you get that now?

Again, very reasonable examples you are using. Maybe I didn't qualify what I said. How about intentional, wanton and sport and sadistical murders of people under police custody to satisfy their blood-lust and deluded beliefs of racial cleansing as being secret KKK members? Is that better qualifying?

Their victims didn't, why should they? After all, they should be held to a higher standard then the rest of us since they are upholding the law. Not be above the law.

It's rubbish. My class contains 14 people, 4 blacks. We all started with the EXACT same salary, even though I have two years experience in the industry and 3 of those 4 don't.

These facts can be easily googled, and is observable that there are clear and obvious wealth disparities in America. You look at that and say everything is kosher with this.
That's not proof.

Yeah, that's relevant to this discussion? You are making judgments, I'm stating facts.
They're not facts. When I ask you to substantiate, you tell me to Google it. I gave you hard numbers about crime - FBI statistics. You had no response other than your vague, nonsensical double-talk.

We both have access to google. I'm sure you can find that Blacks are arrested 4 times the rate of White people in terms of drug possession, when both have the same rates of this particular crime.
It's just simply not true. And repeating it over and over again won't make it true, no matter how many times you tell me to google it.

Again, people are free to go on google and either confirm what you are saying or disprove what you are saying. All I know is I heard my stats from CNN and alternative news channels like TYT.
CNN has been caught lying about the racial narrative dozens of times. Check out the quote mining with that ratchet girl in Milwaukee begging her friends to take it to the suburbs. CNN is yellow journalism and it is United States government propaganda that is bought by the Clintons and Obama to pump out DNC and George Soros talking points.

And you made a big mistake bringing up TYT. I'll give you one chance to withdraw that because if you want to talk about that network I'll eat you up like a bon bon. The CEO of that channel is an Armenian holocaust denier who named his show after the perpetrators of that holocaust. The Young Turks was an army within the Ottoman Empire who killed 1.5 million Armenians, and he celebrated it by naming his show after them. This is the equivalent of Neo-Nazi show called the "Hitler Youth" or the "Stalinists" He is financed by the Islamic dictatorship government in Qatar and Al Jazeera. He is also an anti-white racist who has done character assissinations on Sam Harris, Sarah Palin, D'inesh D'souza and others. Cenk Uygur is a radical communist who was fired from MSNBC OF ALL PLACES FOR BEING TOO FAR LEFT. The fact that you get your "news" from him explains everything.

Also you never mentioned which UNARMED group was killed. Here I'm dealing with NONSENSE shootings. Not legitimate shootings in self-defense because the officer's life was in danger or the other person was armed and could have shot the officer. Did you consider Michael Brown "unarmed"?

Let's also consider the Tamir Rice case. He was one of 5 blacks with toy guys shot in 2014. There were 22 whites killed under the same circumstances. 450% more whites killed for the "same crime"...

You don't think so? Let me ask you a question:
As a white person:
1) Do you have to worry that if you surrender and follow the police officer's order that you'll end up dead.
2) Do you have to worry that if your car broke down you could end up dead by a police officer?

4) Do you have to worry about being rejected by an escort when you have enough money to pay her?

Still think there is nothing called white supremacy?

Come on pal.
Those are stupid questions. There is nothing called white supremacy. Strippers don't deny Asians. Cops don't profile Pacific Islanders. This has nothing to do with white people at all. Blacks are an outlier that get the reputation for the thug culture they glorify.

No, there aren't. Dorian Johnson was lying. Forensics proved this. The final bullet was fired into the top of Brown's head at close range, which proved Wilson's narrative that there was a struggle while Wilson was IN THE CAR. Brown was outside the door trying to get in.

How many white people are dead because of police stopping them for jay-walking? The premise of why someone is stopped in the first place is a minor violation should not result in a dead person.
He wasn't executed for jaywalking you moron. He was told to stop jaywalking, and went about his thuggish ways as he had been all day prior when he robbed a store and assaulted a clerk. He was dead for trying to steal the cop's gun to shoot him with it - not jaywalking.

I guess you never had drugs planted on you for some officer to meet their montly quota. Therefore you have the benefit of white priviledge.
There is no such thing as white privilege. Another myth of cowards.

No, I don't believe in a Jewish world conspiracy or lizard people. And I don't care for his paranoia and gun hysterics. But he's far more reputable than Cenk Uygur.

Noticed you didn't address one thing I said, about TYT, whites with toy guns, or Mike Brown. The race card was declined and you ran into a brick wall of facts.

I don't think so. We have a disagreement of basic facts. When you start saying you can't look up google and do a search and saying CNN is propaganda, then I'm not sure if I'm interested in getting into a discussion.

I did a google search on whites with toy guns. Do you have a link about it? I see they are ARRESTED, but not shot.
Here's a random link from one of my searches:
http://www.alternet.org/civil-liber...ns-police-officers-and-managed-not-get-killed

Brick wall of facts? The problem is you are more interested in the messenger rather than the message itself and judging the message based on its own merits.

I don't agree with everything that TYT does or say. They take positions that I might find sacreligious or too secular and they say the f-word, or say the Lord's name in vain, and honestly, I don't like that. I think you could also take positions and say that FOX news is propaganda for the GOP, or that many mainstream news is biased because of corporate interests. Alternative news stations like Russia Today (American version), Democracy Now with Amy Goodman, and TYT with Cenk Ugar is supposed to cut-the-mustard. Now, Alex Jones from InfoWars sounds like he's in your wavelength, and in fact, Alex Jones and Cenk Ugar had a fight which Alex Jones started....so I get your position because I get Alex Jones.

Let's add MLB to the list of organizations who do not allow criticism of BLM. Calling a mob of violent looters "animals" is racially insensitive and will not be tolerated.

The Seattle Mariners suspended Steve Clevenger without pay for the remainder of the season, moving swiftly Friday to discipline their backup catcher after his set of tweets imploring that protestors in Charlotte should be “locked behind bars like animals.”

Clevenger, 30, who has played in just 22 games this season, issued an apology Thursday night for his tweets referring to protests in North Carolina following the fatal police shooting of an African American. He will not appeal his suspension, according to a person with direct knowledge of the issue. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the matter is ongoing.

Clevenger’s tweets read:

“Black people beating whites when a thug got shot holding a gun by a black officer haha (expletive) cracks me up! Keep kneeling for the anthem!

“BLM (Black Lives Matter) is pathetic again! Obama you are pathetic once again! Everyone should be locked behind bars like animals!”

The Mariners issued a statement Thursday condemning the tweets, with general manager Jerry Dipoto noting the club is “examining all internal options available to us.”

I don't think so. We have a disagreement of basic facts.
You cannot disagree on facts. You are entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts.

When you start saying you can't look up google and do a search and saying CNN is propaganda, then I'm not sure if I'm interested in getting into a discussion.
We've already been having a discussion for two days now??? It's just not going in your favor.

CNN recently had to apologize when the sister of a violent black thug shot by a black cop in Milwaukee called for the looters to move to white neighborhoods.

"Don't bring that violence here! We need our weave! Take that sh*t to the suburbs! Burn that sh*t down!

CNN stated she was calling for peace and cut the quote to this:

"Don't bring that violence here!"

This is pretty much a textbook definition of propaganda. Although, the fact that you admitted to watching TYT is far more disturbing than even CNN...

I did a google search on whites with toy guns. Do you have a link about it? I see they are ARRESTED, but not shot.
As you ask, you shall receive. Click on Toy Weapon and scoot on over to race. I'll be waiting for your concession.

I don't agree with everything that TYT does or say. They take positions that I might find sacreligious or too secular and they say the f-word, or say the Lord's name in vain, and honestly, I don't like that.
Cenk Uygur claims to be an atheist. If he is, that's the one thing he got right. Your lord very likely doesn't exist, but I digress.

Now, Alex Jones from InfoWars sounds like he's in your wavelength, and in fact, Alex Jones and Cenk Ugar had a fight which Alex Jones started....so I get your position because I get Alex Jones.
Also not true.

Every mainstream and alternative news outlet was covering the RNC. One of TYT's producers invited Alex onto the stage, and he decided to laugh and mix it up with Cenk playfully. Alex has been on TYT at least 4 times prior to this. Alex Jones wasn't there to "Fight." But Cenk is a bully, and as soon as Alex mentioned Cenk's sympathy towards Islamic terrorism, he flipped out. Then Jimmy Dore spit on Alex. So again, get your facts straight.
