This might be a controversial topic:

I have a plate who makes a lot more money than I do. I know she is obsessed with me and isn't seeing anyone else and she believes everything I tell her. The problem is she won't ever pay for both of us.

She never complains about splitting the check, but when I say something like "you get this round, i'll get the next" she keeps track and reminds me when it's my turn to pay. This would work in a normal relationship, except she's just a plate and I'm trying to profit off her. It really pisses me off knowing she keeps track and has shown no sign of compromise. None of my other plates have ever been this greedy.

Does anyone else try to profit off their plates and can offer some suggestions?

If you want a woman to pay for everything and you are trying to 'profit' on your plates, you are a wannabe gigolo.

Who told you anybody was supposed to pay your way? Someone making more money than you do is your problem. Thinking someone should pay because they make more money than you do is the logic of a thief.

If there's no equivalency and you pay for everything that's one thing. If you want to profit off of your plates and can't make it happen, you're a poor gigolo.

I appreciate your perspective. I have to drop that girl though because I can't date someone who keeps track of how much I spend on her vs how much she spends on me. Especially because she vocalizes it. If you're gonna keep track, keep it in your head. I found it extremely disrespectful, but maybe you would disagree.

I really need to change my outlook on this because it's pretty negative right now. I just want more out of relationships than I'm getting.

She keeps track about as well as you do.

If you're not happy with her, move on.

Lmao...

I know it's hard to believe, but there WAS a time when men took pride in being and acting like men. That memory has long since faded from today's society...

Well ever since second wave feminism, women were able to work with equal pay compared to their male counterparts and as such, a duel income made the average familiy richer. Well now you have the huge industry owners who see that and raise all the prices for everything. The rich just got richer because of feminism. Oh yeah and tax rates could go up too because of the duel income. The government makes more money now too so they don't try to stop feminism. What happens in the end? The total income from you and your spouse is relatively the same when adjusted for inflation. The difference is that now you have no one at home preparing meals for you, taking care of the kids, or cleaning up the place. And if you were on your own, then you would be making a lot less money (inflation adjusted) so a man worrying about whether or not he has to pay for a simple meal is because of the fact that now, a HELL OF A LOT more women are working (they have a steady cash flow now so it's not like they don't have money to pay for anything) AND them working takes away from YOUR income. Do I even need to mention that most women don't come back for a second date (why waste time and money on someone you will never see again, ya know?) IF a man even gets a first date?

Money is a lot harder to come by nowadays than it was in the 50s. It's even worth a lot less than it was in the 50s too.

This would have worked back in the day but in today's society do you still think it holds true? It feels a bit blue pill to me to still believe in that.

Nah, its called not being a cheap ass.

Don't think I'm advocating running around spending money left and right, because I'm not. Typically if you are doing it right you should be getting laid before you've even spent $40. Probably $20 if you are really good. No going to restaurants on first dates, etc...

But if you can't even buy a chick a drink YOU invited out, you are a fvcking loser, plain and simple. The key is YOU invited her out, it's not like she is asking you to go out and then expecting you to pay.

Now there is nothing wrong with her buying you a drink after that or offering to pay for hers and you accepting. But to sit there and try to scheme up ways to save $10, please.

My advice is don't date if you can't afford it then.

By "a lot more money" do you happen to mean you have no job and are broke?

Either way, stop trying to swindle money out of your plate. Get a basic part time job if you need to.

This is pretty sad and embarrassing to read. I would feel uncomfortable if some rich plate paid for me all the time. And the girls i enjoy spending time with insist on taking turns footing the bill with me.

I agree with this but what it sounds like to me from the OP is that he does pay for them both a lot of the time and she doesn't return in kind occasionally. Personally I don't expect that but to each his own.

You dont have to spend $40 every time you see her. If your having sex then just invite her over for netflix and chill lol

If you havent slept with her then your probably the one she's playing.

Perhaps she sees that you are seeking to take advantage. Maybe she doesn't want to see it but you aren't coming from a generous or giving place.

Why should she not keep track? She likes you but is maintaining boundaries. Women of means know there are men out there looking for sugar mamas.

This cracked me up, what you're asking is ridicoulous. You're pissed off that she has a brain and uses it, that she's not dumb enough to a victim of your exploitation. Are you serious!?

You first tell us she has no problem splitting the bill or paying half the time, then you say she shows no sign of compromise. Dude, splitting the bill IS a fvcking compromise, a compromise isn't supposed to work in only your favor.

The comment that really made me bust into laughter was "None of my other plates have ever been this greedy". The lack of self-awareness here is astounding, look who's talking. Have you looked in the mirror lately? She's being fair, you're the one (failing miserably at) being greedy.

Her level of awareness is obviously superior to yours, you can't fool people who pay attention. You gotta date an idiot to profit off it, have fun with the mentally retarded and weak minded women. Look out for the white knights btw, they protect the weak and dumb.

Dude.....don't listen to the haters...get those biithes to pay for everything if you want it that way.

Biotches are dumb robots...program them the right way....they will follow.

If u want that way with ur girl....withdraw attention from her....easy. U already got ur foot in the door.....the rest is freakin easy man.

Ignore the sosuave white knights. Stand her up a few times....see what happens.

So what's your advice for guys who don't want to be suckers in the dating scene. Paying for her drink may be "customary" or "courteous" but women want to be equals with men, but still retain their femininity? For every date I go on, I bet she's been on 2 more that week where she's gotten free stuff. I go Dutch on everything now. Flip this in reverse, I have fwb's that ask me to come out or come over to hook up. Do they but me stuff or a free first drink? No.

If I'm inviting her out to hang and I don't pay her drink, why does that scream loser as in your original post? I grew up having everyone say be a gentleman and pay her drinks, take her to dinner and pay. The underlying factor of giving a free drink or meal is the icebreaker to "hey, if I get her stuff and am nice maybe she'll sleep with me". You're not saying it, but subconsciously everyone knows it. If I game her correct, she'll sleep with me regardless of money spent or not.
