No but you are making my point for me. My entire point is that by doing proper research, critical thinking and reality-based thinking (not positive thinking) you would figure out what market you should be in UPFRONT rather than running into things blindly with a "chasing your dreams" aspect. Plus understand, nobody has infinite capital and resources, if you exhaust your capital and resources in bad markets you could run out for re-investment in other markets. The positive thinking coupled with feedback would cause you to put yourself into a different market where your goal would be attainable.
Stop right there, you call the goal far-fetched, but these are exactly the type of goals this New Thought Movement produces, which are mainly unrealistic, unattainable goals. If people were to follow my critical thinking/reality-based thinking approach, it would be completely different. As far as the far fetched basketball goal
Ohhhhhh lol, so NOW you start to talk about setting realistic goals based on MARKET CONDITIONS. Finally lol!...........your positive thinking would structure you towards being in a competitive league up to semi pro level and it would realize it would take several years to grow to that level and would require paid coached sessions on fundamentals and advanced skills. It would cause you to spun this NBA fantacy towards something more realistic such as being a CEO, a small business owner or a part of a successful business as a manager.
To me, positive thinking is just as bad as negative thinking, why? Well, it's because they both are incomplete. To have complete and efficient analysis, you have to put all of the positives and negatives on the table, then seek to mitigate the negatives while you work to acquire the positives. This is called critical thinking or reality based thinking, and this is the type of thinking process that I SUPPORT.Negative thinking and dread would cause us to accept where we are in life as our possibility and that's a bunch of bs.
I'm not a positive thinker and I'm not a negative thinker, I'm a CRITICAL thinker.
