Okay, guys don't judge me, I'm a DJ in the waiting. I have a date, Feb 2nd, and it is the 24th Jan. It's about 10 days away. I want your experience. How do I behave before then?

Basically, girl who comes in the shop where I work and have been talking to. She made it reasonably apparent that she liked me. Called me her bae, gave her friend a line about me saving her life when she was drunk (which was a joke). Anyway..I don't wanna f*** this up (As I have done before) so I just wanna know how I should behave before the date, it's all set up and I really don't wanna go all beta on her. I will probably see her at work if she comes shopping, and I arranged it on fb, which I added her on yesterday.

[supplemental to this her best friend has added me]

Do I just not speak to her and be polite at work? What do I do guys?

Thanks in advance, also..love you guys thank you for everything!

Get her excited about the date. Be positive, happy, funny, and initiate kino when you see her.

As for waiting 10 days for a date, I've done that especially with online dating. You just need to keep your interactions with her interesting and hope somebody more interesting doesn't come along and ask her out.

Thank you!

Should I speak to her online or just wait until I see her in person?

Why did you plan a date so far in advance? She could meet another guy and be married and pregnant within 10 days. You don't 'behave' a certain way just because a girl agreed to go out with you.

Again bro, if you are going to see a girl 4 more times before a date, why did you arrange a date with her so far in advance? You basically gave her 4 more chances to find an excuse to bail on the date.

Just be normal, don't act any differently than what you did to set up the date.

With the date 10 days in advance, you are most likely going to over think and potentially ruin it.
Fix another date or 2 in between with different women, which will increase your experience and prevent you from doing the above.

Yeah I get what you mean. I originally said this Monday or Tuesday but she's working all this week so next week was the best option. What I mean by "behave" is how do I act, do I talk to her, do I avoid her, do I speak to her on fb, do I initiate conversations etc.

If she bails then she was low quality and not worth my time. Even if I do like her quite a bit.
Thanks, I'll just act normal then :)

Thanks, honestly though my work schedule makes that virtually impossible at the moment.

Never allow yourself to engage a scarcity mindset. Always remember and act knowing she is just 1 of the... approximately 3 billion women/choices available to you on this planet.

She gets your attention only when you are together or setting up future dates. Keep your focus wide and on living your life.

Thank you, today I was acting with that mindset! Didn't see her, haven't spoke to her. Doesn't mean she doesn't get my affection - she just has to come and get it!

Dunno if I've been a little happier today but noticed girls showing a lot more interest towards me.

Get on pof or any free dating site/app and talk to other girls. You don't have to score another date, just have flirty conversations. It will keep your mind off this girl.

Thank you Bible Belt, I just want to let you know how much your posts in the BPD threads helped me when I was dealing with my BPD ex. I have always found you insightful and informative, even when I'm just lurking.

The fact you are already thinking about fvcking it up, means you have fvcked it up. You are too invested already and you haven't even been out on a date. I'd text her once every 3 or 4 days so she doesn't think you've lost interest...nothing too lengthy, just maybe a random text about something or other, and maybe send a text back and forth a time or two...

Keep it short, keep it simple, and don't text anything that could be misconstrued...ie, something you mean as a joke, but because its a text it appears like you are serious, etc...

What nonsense, being prepared for an eventuality is not the same as creating that eventuality. If a nation makes nuclear weapons in order to defend themselves against other nuclear nations, does not mean they've started a nuclear war.

I am here for advice to ensure I don't f*** up, that does not mean I've already f***ed up. It means I want advice from beginning to end as I learn what I'm doing and adapt to varying circumstances.

I will indeed send her a message! short but sweet.

Okay, guys don't judge me,
Rex will.

I have a date, Feb 2nd, and it is the 24th Jan.
You're not

So what makes you think that she's going to remember a block of time that she set aside for you ten days from now? Unlike you, this chick has sh*t going on her life, (namely other dudes that are trying to holla at her,) so more than likely she'll legitimately forget your date.

How do I behave before then?
Like you have a life.

She made it reasonably apparent that she liked me. Called me her bae, gave her friend a line about me saving her life when she was drunk (which was a joke).
You're a funny muthaf*cka, let's review. You set a date with a drunk b*tch ten days in advance, then you think just because she called you, "bae," that was displaying some sort of interest? You can't possibly be serious.

Anyway..I don't wanna f*ck this up (As I have done before)
Hey y'all, should Rex break the news to him?

so I just wanna know how I should behave before the date,
Give her this.

it's all set up
Sorry for repeating myself, but should Rex break the news to him?

and I really don't wanna go all beta on her.

and I arranged it on fb, which I added her on yesterday.

How is adding to strangers to your FB and exposing them to not yours, but the lives of your closet family suppose to benefit you?

Do I just not speak to her and be polite at work?
Be the best employee that you can be.

What do I do guys?
Nothing that you've done before.

Thanks in advance, also..love you guys thank you for everything!
You're welcome and

Bloody hell guys its only a week away.

We couldn't meet up sooner because of work commitments. Anyway we've talked today and its been nice.

I'll probably see her before then anyway and that'll re-frame things, as it is, its all good.

I will keep studying the bible and book of pook but I'm not cancelling, theres no point, if it doesn't work out it doesn't work out.

So why aren't talking to other women? I guarantee that you're not the only guy she has in the works.

Excuses.

Why are you assuming that she's emotionally invested in you?

You won't have to worry about that because she'll probably flake.

That's what I was thinking. That's generally what happens when you plan a date that far out in advance. I'd be shocked if the date actually happens.

Even if the OP talks to the girl in the days leading up to Feb.2nd,I be surprised if the date took place.

I am talking to other women all the time, constantly flirting and honing my skills.

It truly is the case, she works in care, and I work in retail and I don't finish til 11pm, I work 6 days a week.

And pray tell, what did you text about.
We talked about confidence, how I was going to devastate her at bowling and her saying that in fact no it was her who was going to beat me. I teased her about trying to mock my masculinity, we joked about how we were going to wind her friend up again, and I told her I was going for a bath and jokingly she told me I needed one.

This took about ten minutes.

Why are you assuming that she's emotionally invested in you?
Because she's made a lot of effort to ensure I was invested in her.

You won't have to worry about that because she'll probably flake.
For someone called Maximus Rex you're being very negative!!
