Not to mention removing energy options, which is causing problems in Europe right now. California is outlawing the sale of gas powered cars in 10 years. How is their electric grid supposed to handle all of those electric vehicles? They have to import electricity from other states as it is, what's going to happen with all those EVs? I just don't see EVs as the answer to the environmental problems. Meanwhile, whose pocket is all this renewable technology money going into? China's. I'm not a conspiratorial thinking type of guy, but I would be shocked if China wasn't influencing this direction somewhere up or down the line.I have a hard time trusting climate change propaganda, when suggested solutions from socialist governments involve taking money from my hard working taxpaying back pocket.
I read some studies from well knows geologists from switzerland and they noticed how the alps had much less ice centuries ago so therefore invalidating the whole "man made global warming" narrative which is just a further money grabbing scheme. Not sure what they plan to do when they already viewed a 5 inch rise in sea levels as a huge deal..
Now a new study finds that so called "Zombie Ice" while still connected to the glaciers are basically dead ice that will continue meeting as it no longer is being replenished from the glacier itself and that there is nothing that can be done to stop it or reverse it now.
This will cause sea levels to rise 10 inches, double what was previously thought.
The effects on coastal cities could be cataclysmic, especially during major storms and hurricanes which will be bringing much more water to bear on those areas.
Essentially, coastal cities may be forced to move inland or simply be destroyed.
And in the 90's they had mass hysteria about the supposedly disappearing ozone layer. I distinctly remember being taught in high school that Australia had virtually no ozone layer left because of a giant ozone hole. Being a teenager and somewhat more guidable than I am today, I remember thinking "damn, I sure am glad that I don't live in Australia!"Hi BackInTheGame,
I wouldn't let it keep you awake nights, when I was a Young Man I remember front page headlines saying England would have the climate of Siberia by 1970,the new Ice Age was imminent!....The Club Of Rome even issued a list of all the essential Minerals and Oil running out by the mid Seventies...Wiki says that Sea levels have risen 6-8 inches since 1901 is that really a problem?Take a squizz at https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/50-y...c-predictions-the-so-called-experts-are-0-50/ none of these came true what makes you think that Zombie Ice is different?
That’s a disingenuous ask. We don’t have records dating back that far. Tangible are only available 150 years or so. The use radioactive dating for further back, which is basically an extrapolation.Be the man, supply the data and Facts. I will even limit my 4th request to 400 years. Rain, temps, glacier melt, everything.
That’s a strawman argument. Climate change isn’t in question- it’s the rate of climate change, which has spike precipitously since the industrialization.Trying to stop "climate change" is like trying to stop the wind or trying prevent the sun from setting down at night. Climate change is as old as Earth itself. It was changing long before humans existed and it will continue to change if we disappear. The best we can do is to adapt.
It's OVER for CoastalCels. Not sure what they plan to do when they already viewed a 5 inch rise in sea levels as a huge deal..

There are 2 cities that come to mind when it comes to coastal flooding: New Orleans & Miami. Obviously the former has to be protected, by levees, from hurricane floods - and get wiped out if such levees fail - but the latter cannot be protected by levees because the bedrock is limestone (which is the accumulation of the bones of sea life over eons), and thus has a lot of voids in which the sea can seep in, which is the cause of "sunny day flooding far from the coast, as well as why sinkholes are such a thing south of I-4. The only thing SoFL can do is raise everything, which would have a gargantuan price tag and/or make Miami the New Venice. This will cause sea levels to rise 10 inches, double what was previously thought.

That's simply you not understanding how global warming works. Some places will actually get cooler based on changing weather patterns. However what is readily apparent is the coldest places are warming at rates unseen in millions of years, record high temperatures are outpacing record lows by larger and larger multiples every year, and more serious heat waves with earlier starts to them and later ends are happening.I read some studies from well knows geologists from switzerland and they noticed how the alps had much less ice centuries ago so therefore invalidating the whole "man made global warming" narrative which is just a further money grabbing scheme.
Anytime they want the average citizens to feel guilty about something and the solutions demands his money or freedom it's 100% a scam.
Don't get me wrong we have to fight pollution wheter its industries or dumb men throwing plastic at the beach but this global warming madness is a religion whos main priest is an autistic scandinavian girl and those who gain from it are far from being concerned about the temperature.
"How dare you".
No offence but TL;DR.That's simply you not understanding how global warming works. Some places will actually get cooler based on changing weather patterns. It's global warming...not one certain area. Looking at any individual place and using that as an argument to say large scale warming isn't happening is simply not understanding how it works and pretty much pointless.
Additionally I am not sure what study you are talking about as this one said there was only a period of about 20-25 years from the 1960s to 1985 where positive ice levels occurred which broke about 100 years of declining ice levels, but then after that it has continued to rapidly decline up until the study date which was 2007. I doubt there would be any change to that since then and it likely is still in decline.

Additionally this is the first time since at least Ancient Roman days, that a certain Swiss Mountain pass became ice free. It has been covered in ice for almost 2000 years continuously.
Switzerland's mountain pass set to lose all ice within weeks
Since at least the Roman era, the pass between Scex Rouge and Tsanfleuron glaciers has remained iced but it will be completely ice-free before summer is out, claims Glacier 3000 ski resort.www.trtworld.com
Iceland and Greenland are losing glaciers at record rates and in Iceland particularly, it is causing depression among their citizens as they strongly identify with the glaciers and it is part of their culture and heritage.
Climate change: Icelandic glacier melting faster than it can recover, experts warn
Experts have highlighted that the rapid rate of melting glaciers during the summertime has now significantly impacted recovery during the winter months.news.sky.com
It's honestly laughable that people think this could be due to natural variation. The rate at which this is happening is so far from natural that you have to just be in denial to try and keep believing it's possible.
And catering to demanding, delusional post-epiphany women as well.I mean, the people pushing for this climate change emergency is the same one pushing for digital currencies, ban meat consumption, soy and bugs and so on.
