Changed my picture, now I'm getting matches. Weird. I'm the same guy, lol.
There you go...I always do well with a mad man/psychopathic look, women love mad men.... look at Charlie Manson for heavens sake,be aggressive/sexual when responding to messages or your picture will not match your actions.

If you peruse the Internet, you read all kinds of stories about how these apps like Tinder and Bumble are essentially "broken" for most men now, at least those outside the top 10% or so. I'm decently physically attractive and did quite well on there the first two and a half years of it, but it declined for me hardcore in the last year and a half. Back in 2013 and '14 I had the worst pics and the most beta/basic bio, or one that just said "hey", but I still got a lot of cute matches and met up with a decent amount. Then I noticed a decrease around early '15 as more guys started flooding onto the app, but I got around this by having a friend of mine who's got an eye for photography take some good pics of me, and coupled with an updated wittier bio, I suddenly noticed a nice surge of matches and messages again. I think my record for one night was like 47, and I've got about 500 something total, which isn't that great compared to some, but I'm still kinda picky.

But yeah lately it's been awful. I might be lucky to get one or two in a series of swipes, especially after they implemented the limits. Same thing happens to another fairly attractive friend of mine. I feel like you have to fit a certain type nowadays. I'm not gonna resort to using dog pics and **** like that, or pretending to pensively stare off into the distance as I sip some fine wine in the Italian countryside with my scooter behind me, sporting the latest hipster styles. I also stopped caring about the profile/bio info and don't have an Instagram linked, which may affect it. I noticed that every time I change my main picture however, I suddenly do get some matches. Not sure if it has something to do with their algorithm.

So don't be too bummed out about this; it happens to most people these days, especially if they don't do their profile correctly, or as best as possible. I almost feel like you have to get professional photos taken to get anywhere with this thing. There's also the fact that some people just aren't that photogenic, and I'm one of them. It's hard to find a pic of me where I look the same as I do in real life, especially one that's candidly taken, which I feel like you need since some of your pics have to have you doing activities and not just staring into the camera.

Tbh, lately I haven't used any online dating apps at all. Last four or five girls I've met and been out with have all been through friend circles or at events, aka real life.
