"You're so funny!" *lolololol*

This must be one of the least things that i want to hear come out of a girl's mouth. you might be wondoring what could possibly be so bad about being funny, but i have gotten this so many times and each time i just don't know how to respond to this. It's a pretty stupid comment, because if you laugh then that should already be enough of an indication that you think that i'm funny.

Usually I just return with either "hah, thanks" or i might just ignore it and continue the conversation.

how would you respond to something like this?



This must be the reason why no DJ in their right minds would recommend giving "you're hot" types of compliments.

This reminds me of when I was a Freshmen in High School and this girl found me to be THE funniest human being in the entire world. She absolutely loved listening to me talk and would sit next to me and start rubbing her leg against me as I would go on (Unfortunately I was an AFC and my friend had one-itis with her).

Er, yeah. Anyway whenever she told me that "You're so funny" I'd usually just smile and keep on talking. I never found it to be an awkward thing, I just remember enjoying the boost to my ego.

well it doesnt make my situations nervous ever, and i'm beyond getting an ego boost for that(just about any girl i talk with for more than 5 minutes throws this at me)

If she tells you you're funny then that's a compliment. If she compliments you then she likes you. Duhh..

i am me, women laugh at just about anything.

incog, thanks, i can't beleave i didn't think of that

and JP, compliments are sometimes just there, if every girl that told me i'm funny liked me, wow that's a lot of girls liking me. I know it is not as simple as that.

It is as simple as that. There are no accidents with women. They are not going to continually tell you you're funny for no reason. They are too self absorbed for that.

Girl: Your'e so funny!

Me: What do you mean I am funny?

Girl: you tell funny jokes.

Me: So what am I like a clown? am I here to amuse you?!
