What is the one thing (at this point in life) that you're the most passionate about? The one thing that you consider more important than any woman in this world?

I'm passionate about many things, but the major one for me is my website.

Playing guitar and being in my band. This will indirectly lead to women(trashy ones mainly, but still) but it is more important to me than one.

Pursuing my ambitions, which is learning to build businesses and through those help others...

There's a long road ahead for me, but anybody who ever held me back got tossed aside, including women, friends and even family (You know, the "no you can't do that" people)

id say hockey at this point. my newest obsession is investing/stock markets/business though. my free time is spent reading about , or participating in those two general areas.

MUSIC

I write my own music. I don't really ever intend on doing anything with it except recording it for my own listening pleasure, but I write TONS of music, ranging from death metal, ambient, progressive rock, folk/acoustic, pop-punk, electronica, alternative, etc. and I combine it all into a pretty eclectic mix. I have written probably about 30 albums worth of songs, and have begun to record them.

Also, finding new bands to listen to. I will spend hours scouring download sites for new bands. I'll probably listen to 10 new bands per week, and while most of it never gets listened to after the initial listen, occasionally I'll find a band that completely blows me away.

I'd gladly waste a weekend recording on my computer rather than going out, much to the dismay of my social life.

EDIT: I guess I momentarily confused passion with current life priority.

My passion right now is probably for going out hiking in the mountains, soon to be replaced by the superior form of doing that in the winter, on skis/snowboard.

What am I more passionate about than women?

What's kind of funny, is that as much as I want a girlfriend, I don't try that hard. I could be doing a lot more.

So trying to get a woman is not a passion of mine.

Then I realize that while I have hobbies I enjoy doing, there are none that I'm passionate about. Nothing has really grabbed me in a way that really calls out to me.

No, I don't have any passions. I'm just trying to get by.

My family...just recently have I realized how awesome they are and they of course come first.

Personally...

-Rock climbing. My brother and I climb regularly at local indoor rock-gyms. It's something I have, over time, become passionate about. I find it to be excellent physical as well as mental exercise and it really gets to the core of who you are, challenging yourself and fighting doubt/fear/frustration to conquer difficult routes. It's probably going to have me giving up my previous passion...riding sportbikes.

- Roller coasters. I dunno when this kicked in...probably when I started looking for something to replace the aforementioned motorcycle hobby. Roller coasters are something I look at as a work of art. Aesthetically, of course, the shape of the steel, the technical workmanship, and how it integrates with a particular amusement park is all fascinating to me, but even more fascinating is that roller coasters are one of the few "arts" that are designed to deliver a kinesthetic experience. Seeing what the designer wants the rider to FEEL is something that's pretty amazing. And what they can DO with these machines now is also amazing. I feel almost as if it's my DUTY to ride a roller-coaster. Someone spent 25 million on twisted steel when there are kids starving in Ethiopia...if you DON'T ride, it means that money is wasted. We possibly live in the height of civilization, on the verge of collapsing into an economic dark-age where constructions such as this are no longer possible. We owe it to the universe to experience them while they last.

None. That's probably my problem.

But a few things I love doing: Golf, walking in the mountains, grilling (especially my own catch/kills, college football, the fall, college baseball, the grass in my yard, drinking whiskey and smoking (together). Not to mention the whole male/female relationship dynamic, most of which I've learned here and applied in real life.

Some things I'm good at that I need to find a way to be passionate about: Cost estimating, math in general, planning and scheduling.

My first snowboarding experience was last winter. I didn't pick it up very quickly, but when all the rest of my newbie friends quit, I stuck with it.

After falling on my ass pretty much the whole morning, I started to get a good grasp on the balance and physical motions necessary to stay on my feet. By the end of that day, I was starting to figure out the heel-edge at least. (it's easier than the toe-edge for me because I can see downhill better)

I definitely wanted to go again, but my back started getting sore and I didn't want to throw it out so I stopped. It is definitely something I'd like to work at some more, though. As I get comfortable, I'm hoping to move to steeper slopes...I'm still not comfortable with leaning downhill, so when the slope gets steeper I lean back instinctively and the board slides out from under me.

It'll come with time. I'm definitely interested, but can't call it a "passion" yet only having done it once.

snowboarding is good for tricks and powder, but if you really want speed and control, skis are the way to go. Getting above 60mph with nothing but the snow under your edges and the wind whistling in your ears ... man, it makes you feel alive.

My passion ever since I can remember has been the stock market. I guess if I dig deeper my true passion is information. I also love spirituality, going down the rabbit whole of life.

Whitepimp: You're a lot like me. I also record my own music, but finding the time to do it is a bit difficult. Still, the feeling of completeling a song that you've created 100% from scratch is absolutely amazing. Playing a song live that you've created from scratch is also amazing. I'm trying to get back into playing in a band. I miss it.

I also listen to tons of music. I generally don't download, but I buy CDs dirt cheap, extract them to MP3, and throw them on my MP3 player. The songs that stick out get put into my MP3 collection permanently.

Whats your website?

It's in my signature. It's more of a blog than anything. I started it during a period of my life where I had realized that my marriage was pretty much non-existant. I needed something to keep my mind occupied and myself busy while my child was sleeping. I was able to find material to write about while I had my kid in tow. I've gained myself a nice little group of readers who enjoy my writing. I honestly never thought that I'd be good at writing, but I seem to have found a nice little niche for myself; writing about things that interest and amuse me, and then making fun of it with my bizarre sense of humor. I've been contacted by numerous TV producers and film festivals regarding the things that I've posted.

It's saved me from going crazy, and given me something to pour my energy into. I still love writing for it.
